We visited for the first time last night, lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly warm service and delicious food!

Beautiful restaurant and decor. Food is delicious and lots of options. Would highly, highly recommend

Our big family group had a delicious Mothers' Day takeaway from here. Portions were generous with lots of vegetables. The falafels were the best I've had for years. There are plenty of vegetarian options, too. The staff were quite friendly and helpfully let us order in advance because our order was so large.

I am a solo female over 60 traveller. I arrived at the restaurant at about 6.30. There were many empty tables but l was told a table could not be found for me. When l insisted, a spot was found for me. There were still many many empty spots after l had finished my meal. Is this ageism?

A lovely, happy lunch in a warm welcoming family place. We had Lebanese bread, olives and a delicious hummus, which was complementary and very kind. Lamb kofta was just superb. Chicken Shawarma and the veggie mixed grill was perfect. A lovely Lebanese coffee to finish. Thank you.

Really tasty and the staff were so friendly, we shared a few starters (prawns, halloumi, pastry with spinach / feta) as well as mains and no complaints :)

The food was absolutely amazing!! Two nights in a row, we went with a larger group (1 people). We had several smaller dishes to share. Everyone was delighted with the exquisite taste of the food, and there was more than enough. The service and ambiance was also great (and so is the Libanese wine). The food is really well-priced. Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Oxford! Highly recommend!

Need reservations for the best seat, but we visited, and fortunately, the seat was available 😀. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. We ordered mixed grills, chicken tikka, kebab, lamb salad, rice, and one mixed grill with fries, with sides and the special bread with a houmous.

Awesome little Lebanese restaurant! The service was great and everyone was friendly. We sat at the bar as the tables were filled up with reservations. If you want a table on Saturday night I recommend calling ahead!

I visited here last night with a colleague. It was very full but the team went out of their way to make space for us. The food and service were excellent. Their coffee delicious. We felt completely looked after by the staff. One of the best restaurants I have visited in a while

First visit for most of us and none of us were disappointed. The service was just as you would want it, attentive but not overly fussy. The quality of the food was superb and plentiful - lamb shish kebab outstanding. Reasonably priced and wouldn't hesitate to return again - and again - and again!

We were greeted with friendly warm welcome and made to feel very welcome in this delicious restaurant. The four of us shared the extremely delicious dishes and left very well fed and very happy. Highly recommend.

We came for a team lunch (11 of us) on a Tuesday, and had such an excellent meal here! Thank you to the team for looking after us so well. Everything ran really smoothly (food arrived quickly, drink orders taken quickly) which is always a worry when you're the person organising work events. Everyone said how great the food was, and how it was perfect for a nice relaxed team lunch together. Thank you Beirut team!

Menu slightly odd and lots of meals served with chips. I had the slow cooked lamb, loved it. Friend had vegetarian moussaka disappointing. Mese excellent.

Food was lovely, 4 of us shared 2 mains and 8 hot/cold mezze and salad dishes do we got a good taste of Lebanese cuisine. Staff were good and attentive. Our only gripe is, as with so many restaurants these days, is the automatic service charge included in the bill.

amazing place in headington!!! food is so so good!!! if you go you have to get their calamari rings and fried cauliflower!!! I could eat these dishes everyday😍😍you need to book in advance since it’s a small establishment but it’s very worth the visit!! will definitely be coming again!!!!

Delicious food at reasonable prices in a nice cosy atmosphere

Food is OK, but staff are super rude, almost racist! The place would be totally empty and they would tell you we can't let you without reservation. Or they tell you , you can't order a drink unless you order food ! But they seem to treat white customers better. Every time I go, cause their food is half decent , they say something revolting. They are not cheap , so at least be polite !?

Lovely atmosphere and perfect food. We will be back. Had a really good dinner with our daughters. We will be attending again.

Cosy friendly vibe, great veggie options, delish dessert. We had the veggie mezze and the veggie mixed grill, and a sweet fried pancake thing for dessert. Highly recommend them all!

Went for late lunch 2pm. Had a selection of warm small dishes. All dishes were exceptional in presentation, taste, and portion size. Excellent service. Really recommend

We go to JR hospital for check up from Kettering, so book into red mullian guest house and have our evening meal here, brilliant. I look forward to my check ups lol

Azad is the most hospitable and warm host, make sure you ask for him. The food is worth the price point and it’s extremely fresh and possibly the closest to authentic Lebanese cuisine. Highly recommended for all! Definitely coming back for more.

This is a worst Lebanese restaurant I have ever visited. I am a UAE resident. We have many big banner restaurants in UAE all serve good orders for small veg options. I visited this restaurant with my wife and son. I wanted them to taste hummus falafel and pita bread as it was evening 5.45 around. The whole restaurant was empty first they allowed us inside and then since we ordered these they insulted us saying these are only starter items and they cannot serve. Don't ever visit this place. Visit if you are interested to be insulted.

This is the best restaurant in Oxford. For carnivores I recommend the mixed grill - a generous assortment of grilled gently spiced meat. But this restaurant I recommend for vegetarians. A highlight is the vegetarian mixed mezze. This is a nice range of Lebanese vegetarian specialties, quite diverse flavours

Our vegetarian mezze platter was beautiful - especially the hummus & falafels. Service was absolutely brilliant. So attentive and friendly - we even got a complimentary dessert which was so good. Would recommend- Thank you 🥰

This restaurant serves excellent food. I always enjoy my lamb chops, they are delicious!, as everything they serve. The smell of grilled meet lingering the street sometimes is second to none and it does make you salivate. But not only the food is good, the service is like no other! With my daughter in hospital came here for a break and some lunch. The wrap I had was incredible! The service outstanding and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place . Real authentic Lebanese cuisine. Great place! Highly recommended

I chose this for my birthday meal with family and what a smart and delicious decision it was. Super tasty and authentic cuisine that left us wowed and full. The waiting staff were really helpful and polite. I really can't fault anything at The Beirut, it's all top quality

Ate lunch here with my wife following a visit to the Churchill Hospital and absolutely loved the food - genuinely one of the best meals out we have ever had. The waiter made helpful suggestions and the mint tea was a nice touch as a digestif. If we find ourselves in Headington, we would definitely eat here again.

I was in the area and wanted some Lebanese food, so I followed some great Google reviews to this place. Turns out, it’s a genuine, family-run spot with some of the best Lebanese dishes around. You can tell they take real pride in their cooking and hosting. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for authenticity.

Staff are so friendly and polite, they dont invade your space when eating. Food is fresh with good portions. Good atmosphere, relaxed. They have both doors open which gives a good airflow. Shame they havnt expanded… looking forward to going back!!

Great place. Meze dishes all really nice. 5 dishes was a good sized lunch for two adults and you get a lot of variety. All the the 5 were really nice so probably can't go wrong here!

Having spent a lot of time in Beirut itself, I can affirm that the food here is authentic and excellent. However, the portions are stingy and the price is too high. Sadly meaning some of the Middle Eastern restaurants/cafes on the Cowley Road would be a better option.

We have been here a few times and loved it but this evening a Tuesday ,are starters were fantastic as always ,but my main was so bad dry lamb I could hardly chew ,was very disappointed and now put off ordering this again , it was pretty empty to so the Chef had no excuse ,😔

We wanted to have a special celebration and thank you for a friend and we had a fantastic evening. We were warmly welcomed, the service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. Just what we had hoped for.

No photos were taken, but it was very lovely. We had dinner and the host went above and beyond to please us and our little 2 year old daughter. Reasonably priced as well. Nice restaurant to enjoy!

A brilliant little hidden spot in the middle of Headington, food is awesome and the staff are super attentive without being over bearing. This was our 2nd visit and we will be back, truly wonderful feel. Thank you

We tried chicken shwarma wrap in Beirut. The meal was delicious with perfectly boiled chicken. On top of that, it provides halal food. The environment is also great. Recommended!

Superb authentic Lebanese dishes and wine, hiding in plain view amongst the usual menu. Halfway from the Manor Hospital exit towards the undertakers, choose this great restaurant instead every time!

Being a huge lover of Lebanese food and can say that this restaurant is up there with the best. I have eaten the cuisine both here and abroad and Beirut scores very highly. Three of us had a selection of Mezze dishes and an excellent bottle of wine. All the food was freshly prepared and cooked and was delicious. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. I cannot wait to return.
