Lazy Tony's Lasagneria in Manchester

The best fries I have ever tried and the lasagna was so delicious

Not bad, a bit sticky, smelly and loud but a nice chill and think of lasagne!

I’m a big lasagne lover. It’s defo one of my favourite dishes and so when a friend suggested we try Fat Tony’s at Northern Monk, I got very excited! Unfortunately the excitement was short lived as we were in for a long wait! I ordered a slice of classic Lasange and their Xmas pigs in blankets with honey gravy. The food took a long time and I couldn’t understand why because the venue was very quiet and it’s obviously reheated. Eventually the food landed as we’d almost finished our second round of drinks I tired the pigs in blankets first, very meh tbh. I didn’t like the honey gravy as it was super thick, you couldn’t even dip your sausage properly! The gravy resisted 🤣 Onto the lasagne. Firstly the top was burnt, which sometimes I don’t mind in a lasagne but this was a bit too far. I thought the lasagne was ok, it seemed to have a good amount of meat and sauce. I wouldn’t mind a bit more béchamel though It didn’t have a particularly unique taste but it was filling and well seasoned. I’d try it again

Good music playlist and nice interior. No veggie lasagne which Is a shame! We got the classic Mac and cheese which was disappointing , lacked flavour and surprisingly lacked cheese. The only saving grace was their fries which were crispy and yum.

Went to Freight Island and found Lazy Tony’s. Absolutely amazing food.

I was so excited to try this place after my husband recommended we try it out. We waited 45 minutes and when it came it was cold. The flavour was lacking as well and we tried a few things, the lasagna had no flavour whatsoever. The mac and cheese tasted nice, but was cold. We also got a Philly cheese steak, why it was served on a wholewheat sub, I don't know. So disappointed unfortunately, but the staff were really nice and it's a great atmosphere too, such a shame the food is a big let down for the price.

We ordered a variety of different dishes, such as pizza fries and lasagne fries, and loved them all. The atmosphere in here is also great, with board games on the bar that we used whilst waiting for our food.

Nice decor with a good selection of drinks. We had to leave a lot of the food as it was far too salty.

Lazy is the right word alright. We specifically ordered stuff off the menu that wasn't marked with the minimum-25-minute-wait note but ended up waiting for an hour for two sandwiches. Don't get me wrong, it tasted pretty good, but considering we had to eat it on the road late for a gig it ruined it oh and did I mention it was over ten quid a pop? Imagine a restaurant so amateuristic it takes an hour to throw together a couple of sandwiches, yet so bewildered by common courtesy it doesn't occur to them to mention such a simple fact. Bingo, that's lazy Tony's, or should I say comatose effing joke of an excuse of a restaurant Tony's. Thanks for ruining my night. I would say I hope never to have the misfortune of stepping foot in your establishment again but the adjacent bar is actually great. Still I won't be back until lazy Tony's is gone. Good riddance.

It took nearly an hour to receive all the food. I think we were forgotten about as a table who arrived after us received their food before we did. When the salad arrived it was tiny!

Really great lasagne with plenty of filling, would also recommend the pizza fries. Service was nice and quick. It's walk in only but we found it easy to grab a table on a Saturday

Shut up!!!....and so on...trying for a delicious homemade lasagna. It should be fantastic. Will try. Next Radium away in the Ancoats. Just the same at home. Lovely staff but no vegan lasagne anymore and didn't have mozzarella sticks available when I went, was literally only reason I went was for vegan lasagne and mozzarella sticks was a shame, think they concentrate more on the booze now than the food since they merged with a pub :(

The best lasagne you will ever havr, especially the beef brisket one, and all the other dishes are delicious.

The lasagne was really good but not the best I’ve ever had. However the mozzarella sticks were incredible. HUGE portions with loads of cheese and the breadcrumb on them was also amazing. The truffle honey dip is definitely a must too. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the different options

Really dry lasagne with next to no meat (got the steak one). Mozzarella dippers were nice and the garlic bread was okay. Second time I've had a dry and over done lasagne from them though so won't be going back as this must be their style.

Nice place but disappointed with a dry crispy lasagne, when this is their dish. Did eat it all and pointed out it was dry and stale after finishing.. If it was my lasagne I would have said it was yesterday's re- heated. They said I should have said and they would have replaced it. However I wrongly thought that they would serve their best! Had garlic bread as a starter and that was good. Nice beer but I think Lazy Tony might just have lived up to his name for our meal.

We had a great lasagna from here. It was very rich in flavour. The main selling point of this lasagneria is the number of layers in the lasagne. This means there are a lot of pasta and after my portion I felt extremely full. The lasagne would have been perfect if it had less layers and more filling but I know that would have greatly increased the price. The mozzarella dippers were some of the best we have ever had, the breaded layer was perfectly seasoned and we could have easily had more of these.

Randomly stumbled upon this place and saw the (no) lasagna sign and thought we like lasagna so we'll take a chance. Best lasagna I've ever had. Also never knew that chicken parm could be so good. A month later and our next time off is going back to Manchester so we can eat here again. We live in Ireland. Would not recommend ever eating here. Food is far too good and you'll just end up coming back to Manchester a couple of months later like I've had to.

The food were good, nothing special tbh. However, my review is so low because of the waiting time was incredibly long. The drink we got quite fast (around 40 mins), I asked the waitress if I can order the food, but she said it’s not her part, she will let the other waitress know that we’re ready to order. After that, we saw they talking, but still the other one didn’t show up. So after another 30mins waiting one of my friend went to the person to ask if we can finally order. She said, she will get to us in a min. She came after 20 mins, got the order and left for another 40 mins. When finally, we received our foods slowly. Let’s mention that, the place weren’t busy at all! If the food’s been something very special, I would have not mind the waiting…but like this….for me only worth a 3 stars review 👍🏻

Drove up from Nottingham to try these Slabs, I’m not sure why they call Tony lazy because the slabs were incredible. Great value for money, the service was fantastic. I even got some more to take back to Nottingham with me, just as good heated up. Will certainly be returning!

tiramisu portion size is embarrassingly small that they can even justify themselves to serve at £5 a portion. will not be back. rest of the food basic.

Absolutely love all of the food here, I swear I dream about the gnocchi and Mac and cheese. 10/10 absolutely recommend to everyone!

Ordered for delivery. Order was accepted at 17:05, then they just cancelled the order with no warning or explanation at 17:25. Waited 20 minutes only for it to be cancelled. Could have cancelled earlier or at least given us a call. Tried ringing them for 10 minutes but no one picked up. Absolutely ridiculous and no customer service, not going to order again

Loved that there was a vegan option but it didn’t have as much flavor as I hoped. Had fast and friendly service tho

The food isn't bad, but there are much better places to eat.

I really wanted to like this place but the food was ok, not great. The garlic bread was ok, not much garlic or butter. The mozzarella dippers were cold, not much flavour, just lots of average mozzarella fried, the portion was big. The lasagne was nice enough but nothing special.

If you like lasagne then this is the place for you , absolutely delicious the short rib one is highly recommended and the portion size wow

This place has got a brilliant vibe on the go, it's takeaway and good food rolled into one! Great to grab and head home for a tasty hot meal after a long day. Had both the classic and chicken on different visits, both were delicious, we were very pleased with the huge portions and there was plenty of sauce to be mopped up with a huge slice of garlic bread, So much flavour! Great job guys.

Strange takeaway arrangement, tasty food.

We have been waiting for 40 minutes for the food whereas the restaurant was not busy at all. I know it can happen and I don't even blame them for that but at least they could have done a goodwill gesture or something. The mac and cheese were good, the mozzarella sticks were fine but lasagnas were terrible: quite dry, not enough sauce and the portion was very small. It's a shame because I had a lot of expectations on this restaurant and I left quite disappointed.

Ten oudda ten. Wish it was a tad cheaper but can't fault the food at all. Classic slab is ace and vegan slab is its own thing, but also brilliant. Oh and don't skip on the mozz dippers - no frozen hollow nonsense here, most legit dippers I've ever had

Simply the best lasagne I've ever had!

Been dying to try this place since it opened last month. Omg it is so nice, thought I could manage one to myself but it was really filling so my son was happy he got to eat the rest.
