Lazy Hill Fish Bar in Walsall

I am gluten intolerant, I really fancied fish and chips. I’ve been into the shop a few times, so I know I’m good with the chicken kebab. When I saw they were on just eat I thought great I’ll peruse the menu 😆 I saw steamed cod, I was so exited!! My excitement was not in vain!! The meal was exceptional, cooked to perfection . It was delicious…….. I am so happy 😁 thank you, thank you, thank you ♥️

Tried the homemade cottage pie tonight and it as not disappointed

Great food, hot on arrival…you got to taste their gravy it’s amazing.

Ordered mixed kebabs, one with hot chilli sauce and mint yoghurt one only with mint yoghurt. Both came with hot chilli sauce on making the 2nd one inedible for my wife. It looked like they put chilli on the 2nd one, realised the mistake and then scraped it off the pitta instead of starting again. Silly mistake to make.

This is THE best chippy for miles. Quality food made by people who know what they are doing. Service is always second to none and courteous. I challenge you to visit more than 2 or 3 times you’ll be practically in first name terms with a recollection of how you like your order. I can’t fault it!

Love this place! Order regularly for my grandparents, amazing service- still haven’t forgot the time I ordered it to my address instead of hers and the lovely delivery woman drove it to her for free! Recommend to everyone

Would love to give less than 1 star but the option is unavailable. Food is vile, with long waits and small portions. The girls in the shop are lovely it’s a shame their sprits must be dulled with how unfriendly the elderly manager is. Much better chip shops in the area, if you’re local try Mario’s other place or even Stonnall fish bar but avoid here at all costs.

Always loved this chip shop but the quality has gone down. Chips are half cooked and soggy, chicken was so dry and looked like it was re-heated. Donna meat half cooked and pitta not toasted.

Used this chip shop over 4 years however of late tbe portions just keep getting smaller curry sauce £1:99 sent it in a tiny dipping pot ?? Also fish gets smaller each order won’t be using again

chips were good.fish was decent .gravy 1.95 for a small pot seemed expensive .salad pitta was just full of onion ended up throwing it away.delivery was quick and polite.

Very nice, been craving fish cakes all week.

We called there for lunch, as we could dine in. I was with my elderly friend. We had large fish with small chips. OMG it was lovely. I can honestly say, these are the best fish and chips I have tasted for years. Lovely young lady served us was very friendly and understanding of my friends age and mobility. She also made a bostin cup of tea. There was a man there too, whom I presume is the owner. Again very pleasant. The tables were well spaced and clean. They did a roaring trade whilst we was in there so must be popular. My friend and I will be going there again as soon as we can. I just wish it was closer to where I live as I would frequent it regularly.

(It won’t let me change it but the order was around 30 minutes early) really amazing service, ordered it to the wrong address by mistake and they delivered it to the correct one- so thankful!

Ordered many times from Lazy Hill. Me and my partner absolutely love it and have never had a bad order so far! Personally it is the best chip shop around and our go to for a takeaway. We’ve tried most things off the menu and the fish & chips is fab. Worth the wait at peak times to be delivered and always friendly staff when delivering.

Friday night fish & chips! Freshly cooked and so nasty. A real Friday night treat. Service with a smile and price is reasonable, with large portion sizes.

Terrible place to eat, firstly the staff are incredibly rude, they ignore people and only serve regulars first despite them coming in after. The person I assume who is the owner is Really rude every time i have been here, he gives dirty looks to me and my family, sounds annoyed when spoken too and is just outright rude in general. Then there's the food which is overpriced rubbish, the portion sizes are way to small and they're charging more than any other chippy around. My only advice is to avoid this place at all costs, Aldridge chippy is much better and the staff are lovely. In summary this place is a joke.

Freshly cooked fish & chips are amazing. We are Friday night regulars and would highly recommend. We collect our take out at around 5:30pm and it always tastes delicious, never too greasy and always freshly fried.

Lovely fish and chips as usual and the halloumi was gorgeous. Bit disappointed with the fish pie..it needs a sauce inside it..as it tastes just like mashed potatoe and fish, making it quite dry.

I asked for a large mix meat and cips and recieved it in a medium tray.when i rang the chip shop i was told i would have to pay more for a large tray.but i did order a large mix meat but in a medium tray hows that work.wont be ordering again.shame as the foods is nice.

I always order from here. The food is always very fresh and piping hot with fast delivery. Didn't even notice my drink was missing until the lady came all the way back with it. Great service and friendly delivery lady. Highly recommend this place.
