Ordered food didn't arrive phoned them and guy there had no idea what was going on gone right downhill now

Food order on Sunday an hour after opening, I was discussed , chicken was so dry , over cooked and mouldy, there is no way that chicken was cooked on the day, it’s very upsetting to think that it was from the night before, reheated. I think Deep Blue fish should be ashamed to be serving that kind of food to people. We pay our money for your service, and for you to be that lazy and serve yesterday chicken, unacceptable !!

Food portions shocking like 10 chips and a mini fish for a fiver then they wanted to charge me extra to put curry sauce on the top no chance ! I asked is that all the chips he said manager is watching I get in trouble if I put any more on !!

Food is always hot and very tasty. We ordered kebabs and they were delicious. Delivery is prompt and very friendly.

Had the roe and chips with curry sauce, tbh the chips were good but not the roe sorry to say.

Food has 0 taste and full of oil. Waste of money which is ashame

When you eat half the chips before you open the curry sauce you know it's good. Way better than harleys

First time trying this chip shop. Ordered two regular chips and large battered sausage. The regular fries came in a tray very small portion, the equivalent to a cone of chips from any other shop. First & last visit, wouldn't recommend.

The fish in this shop is always fresh firm and flakey with good quality batter. Other shops in this area do not compare. Service is fast and friendly even during the restricted times.

This used to be fabulous for fish and chios, unfortunately not any more. The fish was really dry and the batter hard. Very strange as I had to wait ages for the cod to be cooked. The chips were very dissapointing. Has this chippy changed ownership/management. All the staff have changed. I won't be going there again.

My other half has chips from here all the time. Me only occasionally. He got me tinned roe a couple of weeks ago. Obviously they don’t sell many. I could have heeled my shoe with it. This time I fancied mini fish and chips with peas. Oh my goodness. How long that fish had sat there I dread to think. The batter was rock hard and the fish inside as dry as cardboard. Chips from here are always hit and miss and mostly miss. That’s me done with this place. 😱😱😱

Ordered a large doner kebab with pitta, the portion was terrible and could have fit the whole meal in a burger box. Ordered a small fish and chips, again portion size was terrible. I think they put a goldfish in batter with a few chips. Asked for a refund of the money due to the portion size issue to which this was declined. Quick to take your money but don’t want to deal with any problems. Won’t be re ordering from here again. I think they need to recognise that their audience is more than a few infants and instead, full size humans that want to be at least satisfied if not full up after a meal from this place.

Disappointed with the portion size although it tasted great. I had a mini fish and chips (£3-20) and received a piece of fish six inches long and about 20 chips Don;t get complacent guys , you used to be better than that.

This was great when it first opened the original guy who run it was great I don't know where he went. Now when you go in you are always having to wait for the fish to be cooked there's always a queue, the other night a lady came in and asked if the kebab meat was actually switched on the meat was just stood there ,not turning round no heat on it .The staff were not very engaging with the customers I think it's time to change my chip shop.

Twice recently I had the misfortune of trying to place an order via Just Eat & twice at the last moment Deep Blue canceled, the first time was they could not find a delivery driver!. The 2nd time I got no explanation. Fortunately, there are other establishments who provide customer service & good food. I would avoid this one.

There always seems to be a queue these days and you always have to wait. It never used to be like this I dont know why it seems to have changed. There are quite a few staff behind the counter but service still seems slow.

This is the best chippy I have been to well Worth the drive to here better then any other chippy out there

Good chips and you are given a good portion .Spicy potato wedges and tikka chicken kebab are also very good

I was in the area so checked out TA for best chippy local to the area. Had large fish and chips. Chips were undercooked and fish was tasteless. I put it down to the fact that it had just opened as the clock had just struck noon and thought it must have been an off day. Tried it again today and was actually worse. The complaint being similar to the above but this time the chips were all ‘dog ends’ if you like plus the fish was inedible. Thankfully only risked a mini fish dinner. Goodness knows how this place has five stars. Don’t be misled like I was. It was poor not terrible hence 2 stars but it felt terrible because a five star place allows some optimism as to the food quality.

Whatever you eat is unbelievably good with great and welcoming staff. Come regularly and never had one problem. Outstanding.

I delivery to this chippy every week and one thing I have noticed is the professional service and the cleanliness of the place. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is always welcoming. To add to this the food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable. Keep up the good work everyone.

Great food buy more importantly...great service. Arrived late after just finishing work and they had stopped serving 20 mins before... but they kindly restarted the fryer and after a 15min wait went home with a freshly battered large cod and chips. In other words, worth a try?

I don't live close to the area at all but I happened to be passing through. I decided to pop in to the chip shop for a Kebab and chips my usual that I would have at any chip shop. However I do have a specific way how I like it which is the Doner Kebab being crispy. When I entered the shop I automatically got Good customer service by the cashier asking me how I am and smiling making me feel welcomed. I first of all asked if I could try some of the doner kebab to see if it was up to my standard. Without hesitation the cashier gave me a piece. I tried it and I was absolutely shocked, I could officially give it the title of "best kebab" and I loved it so much that I got a large kebab and chips for myself which I have never done before. Thank you very for the service and food. I will definitely be returning and I do recommend people to pay visit.

Visited this shop on a recent Friday night to take away 3 lots of cod & chips. I had read the previous tripadvisor reviews, so was confident it should be a decent chippie. What I hadn't realised was just how good the customer service was - and the desire from the owner - John - to go the extra mile - in providing feedback and answering any questions I had. He even offered me a few extra samples to try - which I thought was a really nice touch! This is an establishment that cares about customer service and does aim to please, with friendly management and staff.The quality of the fish and chips I took away were very good - as all family members confirmed.I'll definitely be using this place more regularly in the future, and will be trying some of their other delights on offer.

What can I say Deep blue fish & chips Brilliant chip shop. Great staff. Great food. Great prices. One of the best chips shops in the whole of Birmingham. After reading the reviews on trip advisor i visited the shop today found it clean and staff were friendly. Cod fish and chips were excellent and of high quality. A few chips were burnt and mushy peas was dark green looked and tasted unnatural. Only suggestion serve the fish and chips in a box rather than paper. Happy to recomend l...Rashid

Can't recommend Deep Blue enough, Chips are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Really friendly staff and value for money. It's well worth a visit and taste for yourself.

This is the best chippie I have been to in a very very long time and other than being on the coast somewhere you can't go wrong and with also living in great Barr there is a fair amount of chippies in close proximity and a fair amount to choose from.However the cod and chips is out of this world the batter is crispy as it should be(usually cooked to order) and the chips are cooked to perfection.All I can say is if you want a traditional tasting fresh fish and chips (and your not by the seaside) look no further than here you won't be disappointed.They also offer a great children's menu and kebabs ,burgers etc so something to suit evey taste .But sadly the cod wins my vote hands down just great!.

Situated in Pheasey, the Deep Blue Fish & chip shop serves up a standard of food that would be hard for anyone to match. Everything is fresh, cooked to perfection and outstandingly tasty. Even new potato chips - (not easy to master- ) are crispy and golden Portion sizes are just right in my opinion - never too many to eat , always enough to fill you up. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommended....go there.....you won't be disappointed!

This is a good chippy but ordered fish chips and curry sauce when I got home no curry sauce in the bag, also no salad on the kebab,didn,t take it back it would have been cold by the time it was sorted. It won't stop me using it though .

I take my daughter here every Wednesday after her Martial Arts Class for Childrens meal Chicken Nuggets and Chips, which is Beautifully cooked and very Generous, also includes a Drink and a lollipop, for excellent affordable price. The Manager and his staff are very friendly and welcoming and the premises are spotlessly clean and always a pleasure to go into. Would Deffinatly recommend.
