Hubby and I visit Lazy Claire’s every Saturday to kick start the weekend. Literally the best coffee and cakes in Belfast with lovely staff too. I think I have a Lazy Claire addiction…… but that’s not a bad thing!

Visited on 22nd April 23. Brought mum ( 75 ) and sister as a very special treat as heard so much about it. It is was queued to outside the door - we were happy to stand in rain to wait our turn. Once we were served there were no tables ( noticed others sat before ordering). Told to wait in the rain for a table. Table was ready told to join the queue again !!! Served and sat down, realised they hadn’t heard us ask for tea. Said to the waitress she told us to rejoin queue- unbelievable. Desserts delicious and coffee but couldn’t go through that experience again.

Delicious French Patisserie, All fresh and delicious, probably the best I have ever eaten, even when I was in France. Tartes & Gâteaux , Eclairs & Macarons , Viennoiseries and more. Open plan kitchen, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, lovely to see in Belfast. Keep the great work up!

I heard about this new addition to our area and then found it. What a treat. All of the offerings are special and the croissants and pain au chocolate divine. Just one thing distracts and that is that many of the goodies appear to be left in the oven a little longer than needed. I thought a mistake on my first visit but see that it happens a lot! I wondered about that? All in all though this is a fantastic and I’ll keep returning and spreading the word.

Afternoon visit to buy patisserie both to take away and eat in with coffee. Calls all delicious. Service a little slow and didn't have any camomile tea. But other that this well worth a visit.

Wonderful cakes and great coffee ( the decaf even tasted like a 'real' coffee) perfect as a wee treat with your morning coffee. Pastries were obviously handmade and so different from factory made cakes -no synthetic cream and fluorescent toppings here. Superb eclairs, light and intense flavours (the blackcurrant one was heavenly), chocolate tarts fabulous and rich. Portion sizes were just right for us, not the usual oversized NI ones but this is really a place to savour the flavours rather than fill up for the day. Expect to pay more than a high street coffee shop but someone has taken time and care to make these cakes which all costs more. Glad it is dog friendly, in Europe many of the coffee shops allow dogs in even allowing them to sit on the chairs, now that I would object to. Finally, is it me or is it because it's Brexit Day but why always call these shops authentic French or Parisian? Just tell it as it is, this is a fantastic Belfast patisserie (shop where pastry, especially French pastry, is made and sold) 👍

A regular hang out due to consistent quality and super friendly staff. Always serving up an amazing Bailies Roast and their Barista’s make a mean cup. You won’t pass up a patisserie either; that glaze will draw you in. The lemon tart with homemade marshmallows - amazing. Dog friendly, and excellent chilling vibes. Another Coffee Nerd must visit.

Very disappointing and over priced. Nothing like the quality of the patisseries I have experienced in Europe. To be honest even the supermarkets in Europe will have better products £10 for 3 products no way justifiable given two tasted of burnt pastry. Not sure why this place gets such great reviews. I await my defensive and slightly angered response.

Going to Lazy Claire is always a struggle because I never know which pastry to get as all are amazing... however this is easily sorted by choosing a selection and having a bit of everything! Jokes aside, this is a lovely cafe that I was glad to discover earlier this year and have been back several times since. Coffee and treats are great and you can tell there is a lot of technique behind each bun! And to make things better dogs are welcome, so we always bring our 2 pups in with us and they staff is always super friendly with them!
