Delicious food. Quiet and unassuming from the outside but the food was amazing. Early bird menu super reasonable and of course, the food was great. Highly recommend for a quiet evening meal.

Delicious experience! Everything was perfectly spiced, tasty, plentiful, and so good. Mango lassi, two kinds of naan, the chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, saag paneer… ermagherd, we ate everything. Lots of contented moaning. The service was super, the music was great, too. SO glad we came to dine here! Highly recommended.

Excellent meal - highly recommended. Small cosy restaurant and good menu. Reasonably priced beer and wine selection. One of the best Dhansak that I have eaten and I’ve had several over the years. The restaurant was quiet - could have been the atrocious weather , but I expect that there is more focus on the takeaway business. That said i would recommend a visit to this Indian restaurant if you are looking for good food and service

Just visited on Wednesday evening after purchasing a groupon offer. Having eaten here last year and finding it delicious I was really looking forward to this meal. However this time service was very slow while the restaurant was empty at dinner time so this should have been a warning for me. I ordered chicken korma which was watery almost like lentil soup. When I tasted it it was like last night's leftovers reheated and watered down. The chicken was also from the previous day as it was tough and hard to cut when I finally did cut into it it appeared to be off while looking brown and grainy inside. So disgusting I didn't even bother complaining. Wish I had have taken photos but I was so disgusted at the time I just wanted to get out of there. Stay away and visit elsewhere as this is a disgusting representation of Indian food in Belfast. Don't be tempted by the constant groupon offers that explains everything. What a horrible and yuck experience.

We eat Indian food regularly at many different restaurants. We booked a table for two with a Groupon deal on Friday night. Popadoms to start, with 4 tasty dips. Picked a lamb and chicken dish with Pilau rice, not from the popular dishes and it really was excellent. Lamb was tender and the chicken was not over-cooked in the clay over - meat very plentiful as were the rice portions. Plain Naan bread was good too with Indian beers of course. Very full after the meal and the dishes were as good as we have had anywhere and it certainly wasn't expensive. For good value, quality Indian food I couldn't fault the Bombay Brasserie. Service was first class too and the waiter even suggested starters may be a bit much! There's some honesty for you :-)

We booked for 8pm and had to wait until 8.40pm until we got seated. Reason being a group walked off the street and the restaurant took them even though we booked. They told us they didn't want to turn them away. The same happened to another group when we were there and they had to wait longer to get seated too! There was only room for 3 people to sit and wait so the fourth stood for 40 minutes. We also had a baby with us and were asked to leave the baby in its pram in the hallway and we could check on it!!!! Who would do that? The baby was 3 months old! So unprofessional. The baby's nappy needed changed and we asked the man where can we change it as there wasn't any facilities. He told us to close the bathroom door and change her on top of a fridge/freezer. We gave in our Groupon voucher when the bill came and were over changed for the remaining balance. We had a really bad first impression and it didn't improve throughout. The food was ok, we could have got a takeaway from our local Indian and sat at home and eat it at the time we were meant to. We will never be back and wouldn't advise anyone else. My partner and i bought this as a present for our friends birthday. Big disappointment, we all felt very let down at the service.

After driving past this place for what seems like the millionth time we finally decided to have dinner here on Saturday evening. We did have a groupon voucher for two mains, two sides and poppadoms to share, so we were unsure about how good the meal and serive would be. However, this restaurant was a great find. It is very small and cosy inside but rather than being cramped it creates a great atmosphere which you don't tend to feel in the larger Indian restaurants around Belfast. The décor inside is quite modern with not a large amount of tables. We ate here at 5.45pm and by 6.15pm the restaurant was almost full. It is worth noting that you should definitely book a table here especially on weekends also that you can bring your own alcohol into the restaurant to have with your meal. Looking at the menu most main dishes were around £12.95. Well priced considering the size of each dish. Staff aren't pushy up sellers which was a plus. The food itself was delicious and probably the best Indian food I have tasted in Belfast which was a delight! Not a good idea to visit if you are on a diet as you will leave with buttons almost popping lol but it is worth it. Overall I highly recommend this place but I do agree with other reviewers about the service. Although the staff are attentive it is worth noting that it takes more than five minutes to read a menu and make your choice. They need to be a little bit more friendly as they come across as uninterested and brisk at times. However the restaurant is definitely worth checking out. Best in Belfast!

Purchased a Living social deal for the restaurant having never been and wanted to try something new. The voucher was £15 for two mains, two rice sides, two poppadoms and chutneys - great value!Booking the table was easy & staff were very friendly over the phone, even when I had to ring and change the table for a later time on the day. When we arrived it was quiet & the lovely waitress offered us a window seat which was really nice. We showed our voucher and the waitress explained what the voucher covered & any dishes which would be extra. We ordered the white house wine Isla Negra which was lovely & great value. I ordered the sweet chilli duck with the mushroom pilau rice however they were out of the duck. The waitress was very apologetic about it and offered the chicken instead in the same style which I got instead. It was also an additional 75p on top of the cost of the voucher for the mushroom rice but the waitress made sure that was okay with me when we ordered. My friend ordered the garlic chicken and a nan bread (which was about £2 on top of the cost of the voucher too) After ordering our poppadoms arrived promptly with 4 different chutneys. When we had finished our plates were cleared and our mains came out almost immediately - very fast service. Both meals were gorgeous - just the right amount of rice & the mains were a good portion too - plenty of meat and so full of flavour! Will definitely be back as the service & food were outstanding. Some advice might be to upgrade the food menus - they don't advertise or sell the food as well as it actually is! Interior design is welcoming and the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere.

Can't beleive what I have read on this site - I am just back from a meal in this place and it ranks as not only the worst Indian meal I have ever had , quite possibly the worst meal full stop ! I had veg pakora to start - fine - pretty hard to muck that up - but the main......................chicken bhoona - salty tasteless watery sauce with tough chicken pieces - stodgy rice and a nan bread that was like eating newspaper - I am not that hard to please but I ate about 2-3 mouthfuls and asked for the bill within 5-10 mins of them putting the food down ........no one asked if it was okay , which I found strange as most of it was going back. So not sure what people over here expect when it comes to curry but it falls way short of what I am used to so I certainly won't be rushing back.

Been here a few times. Quite a small restaurant. Quality of food and service always great. Prices reasonable and decor and atmosphere are grand. Parking is always achieved close by on the street. Would recommend.

What a great place to eat. Tried this place out on a livingsocial voucher and have to say I was really impressed. I fancied something hot but tasty and Babu recommended that I try the house special "Nagashori Lamb". What a dish and what a recommendation. You wont be disappointed if you try this! We had at least four drinks and a starter each and our bill over the voucher amount was still less than £30. Great Value for money and a cheap night out! Very impressed, will be coming back with our kids next time!

I found myself back on an old stomping ground after trying out some new places. I was glad that I found a restaurant busy even by normal standards. The phone was busy and people arrived periodically. The signs were good. The food didn't disappoint. The service was excellent and not over bearing. Portions were more than ample and the bill was pleasantly acceptable. I'm glad now I returned to a place that was my second home. I missed it. I'll be back very soon.

Have been to Bombay Brasserie many times!!! It's now our favourite indian restaurant in Belfast. Each time we have been the staff have been welcoming and accomodating. The atmosphere is always relaxed and enjoyable and the food is consistently fresh, tasty and utterly gorgeous every time. The fact that you can BYO is also an added bonus.Would highly recommend this fabulous restaurant for meal out.

I was so disappointed after reading the comments on trip advisor. I had chicken tikka masala - it was like a soup when it was served. There had been no love put into it. The rice was stuck together in chunks like it had been microwaved. My partners dish was soup like as well, he had asked for spicy which it wasn't. I would not return or recommend.

The curry was only chilli powder gravy and lamb. Starter was good hence giving 2 star
