Decent Cafe , nice setting , quite a wait if a few people in though

Absolutely love this place ,have yet to try the food but the staff are really friendly, the drive up is a bit bumpy but it's worth when you see that lake ,it has been drained and made save to swim ,very happy with this venue .

On our cycling route, alot of us turned up at the same time but service was good and the cake was lovely.

Used this excellent cafe for many years as a walker and a cyclist. Always good food and value. I like that there is loads of space inside and out. It is very handy for Berkeswell train station so forms a great base to start or finish a walk. There is also plenty of parking. The cafe is tucked away down a track off the road between Balsall Common and Berkeswell village, but there is a gated entrance just by the train station that cycles and walkers can pass through.

I've been asked to leave a review of this cafe. I cannot do so because I didn't use it. I was at Lavender Hall for a days fishing and only passed through the cafe to get to the tackle shop to buy my day ticket. It looked clean and there were a few workmen in there who obviously were not fishing. I can't comment on the quality of the food or the prices.

Cracking little cafe on a brilliant fishery. Took my lad we both had sandwiches and they was fantastic. Very helpful staff and a good price also

Here, slightly of the main road. Love the reward of having a seat outsie. Large breakfast, coffee in the morning.

Service exstemly slow. £12 for a breakfast 2 lighty cooked bacon ,2 sausage, I egg and 1 toast and a tea.plus mushrooms. Won't be in a rush to go back.

A great find. Absolutely perfect for breakfast and a catchup. Within a short stroll of Berkswell train station and a lovely setting. Highly recommended - we'll be back soon.

Me and my family have been using this decent cafe for years. The staff are always very pleasant and we have always enjoyed our visits. However, me and my wife visited on 22/7 and ordered a large and medium breakfast and 2 coffees and paid for £26:60, which in my opinion, is rather steep for a cafe breakfast. The coffees arrived at our table in 4 minutes, the toast after 25 minutes, which I ate immediately, and the 2 average quality breakfasts took 35 minutes, and all the fried eggs were rock solid. The cafe was all but empty so I can't understand the delay. The prices seems to increase everytime we visit and far outweighs the quality of the products, so we will not be returning. There are to many options nowadays and and I don't mind spending a few bob, but I do like value for money.

Tasty traditional fry up, my only complaint was the biggest option was lacking black pudding, mushrooms and hash browns and fried bread, adding these would have made it quite expensive.

Very good place for a mid morning stop with the cycling club. A very wide menu choice at reasonable prices and good service.

Sorry! But the bacon was over cooked and rock hard as were the fried eggs! Don’t expect the earth, but not good enough for the price paid.

Eventually found out tucked away off the beaten path better signage wouldn't go a miss. lovely cafe well cooked food but 8 quid for a full English is a bit steep and don't even get a drink but overall ok 👍
