Went with some friends for a drink and it was great, food can be a little expensive but worth it. Atmosphere is friendly too!

Always have great coffee and cake or sandwich in this place. It does, however, needs a refurbish. Think the sofa and window area need sorting

Sólo nos enteramos de este pequeño café hace un mes, siempre pensé que era sólo un lugar de café. ¡Me encanta!

Called in for a quick breakfast was met by friendly staff, service was quick and the food was hot and tasty. I could be a bit brighter and less clutter but worth a revisit to this cafe.

Me and my son called in for a milkshake and cake ...no one on counter or in cafe serving so just sat at available table . We ordered two milkshakes after asking if they did them when a guy appeared , not much of menu or list on board . I spotted a vanilla in glass cabinet and ordered , lad had chocolate cake . The milkshakes were powder flavour and bland and the vanilla was not fresh . That's me not going in there again ..poor

My dining partner and I walked in and were greeted with..................nothing. No recognition that we were there, no greeting, no clear indication of menus, no pointing out of vacant tables, no idea of whether it was waiter or counter service. We eventually ordered wine at the bar and found a menu; very amateurish layout and specials board very indistinct. We had to ask what type of paninnis, ciabattas or sandwiches we could have. We waited a while and it was quite clear that "regulars" were being served before us. Now salad is quite inexpensive and could have been used to add garnish to the plate. The place is dark, and the outside are doubles as a smoking and dining section. A good idea? The wine was generous and chilled. The place was busy so they must be doing something right.

I used to go to the Latte lounge quite regularly until recently find ing out a horrible fact it turns out that latte lounge is only a two star hygiene. Which has put me off! Although the owner is a very nice man and the food is quite nice but don't think I'll be coming back.

What a great find! I'd been to the Morning Star many years ago, and all I can remember is that it can't have been that good, as we never returned. However, this is now certainly a place we'll be back to. On arrival, we were impressed at the decor of the pub - it's been done up at some point to a high standard and feels like a place you'd be happy to spend time (and money!) Having said that, I was a little disappointed at first, as we were handed a 'Sunday menu' which was very much a significantly cut down version of their regular menu. Much of what I'd planned I was going to have beforehand was now no longer an option. I would certainly suggest that this is made clear on the website, as this is not stated anywhere that I can find. I've included a photo of the abridged menu for others considering a Sunday visit. Our minds now focussed by the narrower band of options, we were still each able to find something we'd like. Between the four of us, we had the 8oz rump steak, cheese and onion pie, and the salt and pepper chicken burger. It was, to a plate, magnificent. My son declared it the "best steak he'd ever had" and that he was pleased that we now didn't have to travel to Manchester for a decent steak. That might be the overenthusiam of a 10 year old, but the food was nonetheless very, very good! Every element of the meal was cooked perfectly, the portions were ample, and the prices more than reasonable. I did have a pang of buyers remorse, however, as I saw the superbly presented Sunday dinners (Yorkshire pudding sat proudly atop a pile of piping hot meat and veg) being brought out to other tables. This passed momentarily as I tucked into my (also impressive) salt and pepper chicken burger, but it was a regret that returned and shall spur me on to come back and give that a try too. But not before I've been able to come back and give the rest of their full menu a go! 5*
