We had an afternoon tea here. The food and service were both good and well presented. The scones were really good and included orange peel instead of currents which I particularly enjoyed. As the weather was good we sat in the garden which was nicely laid out with lots of colourful bedding plants. For less nice days the dining room looked very comfortable with lots of sofas.

I was given an afternoon tea voucher as a gift and we chose to enjoy it at Lastingham Grange. What a wonderful experience! We were offered coffee and tea, and prosecco came with the tea too. I don't drink so they offered me a Sicilian lemon instead which was a nice option. The food was delicious, a selection of sandwiches, all of which were very tasty. Then the scones, which are the best scones I've ever had. They were just the right ampunt of crumbliness and had a touch of orange; I could have eaten more they were so good! The cake selection was absolutely yummy too, we enjoyed them all. They were even kind enough to put a candle and a mini happy birthday topper in one of the cakes for my friend. Service was great, the lounge was comfy and I would definitely recommend afternoon tea here. Thank you Bertie and team for looking after us.

Had an afternoon tea here I have to say I've had better this was bought as a wedding gift The service was fine we were welcomed in and told where to go which was like a lounge with old fashioned furniture was like travelling back in time. You could sit outside but we chose inside as it wasn't the warmest of days didn't have to wait long then it came there were an assortment of sandwiches and cakes pot of tea and pot of hot water. The salmon sandwiches were raw salmon which isn't for me the ham ones were fine the cakes were OK but not amazing and I didn't care for the scones at all! Now as I say this was a gift so I am assuming that the couple that gave us this loved it there so maybe we were just unfortunate but I will be sticking to marks and Spencer for there afternoon tea

In their Afternoon Tea they need to provide 3x more savoury food. They only provide a couple sandwiches, nothing else. The ratio of sweet to savoury isn't well balanced. If you want just sweet food I would recommend coming here for afternoon tea. Otherwise lovely location, wonderful staff, very attentive, relaxing environment.

An amazing find in delightful Pickering in a lovely quiet residential area a few minutes walk away from the Steam Railway and town centre. Warm welcome from our host. We had a lovely room overlooking the rear garden. It's a beautiful old building with nice high ceilings, and the room we had was fresh, light and contemporary. Everything was clean. The breakfast was excellent. Fruit salad was fresh. Kippers were on offer, and my partner had the full English which looked amazing. The sausages were gluten free from a local butcher, so intolerances can be catered for with notice. A delightful stay, and an absolute must when we return to the area.

A small place but with a great amount of choice of food and drink. I always get the barbecue chicken and bacon panini because it’s extremely delicious. There’s a good amount of filling in the panini; it’s packed with barbecue flavoured chicken, bacon and cheese. I like the seating outside viewing the town.

Nice visit for brunch. We had crispy beef flatbread, Shakshuka, Pancakes with bacon and syrup, and Leek & Potato soup. Overall the food was very good though the pancakes were a little strange (very spongy/cake like) though tasty nonetheless. Value 4/5 as it's not at all cheap (i.e over £8 for an egg sandwich).

While looking for an Indian restaurant we came across this place, and after reading the positive reviews we decided to give it a try, and we were NOT disappointed. Beautiful atmosphere. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Stunning food. Couldn't ask for anything better. Would love to return.
