A stop off on route and recommended by the local bakery. Tucked down a small connecting ally, this coffee shop consisting of two floors and a variety of pastries and a substantial menu. With the clock against us we had toasted tea cakes and pot tea, the cake was huge. A gem of a find.

What a great find this was! Great atmosphere and staff. So we returned each morning during our stay! The menu is limited to what can be well prepared; carefully chosen and delicious. It is clearly very popular, so we arrived fairly early each day and got seats. Tables and chairs outside for good weather and the brave. We'll be back there next time we are in the area.

Probably the best cafe in Louth for coffee. If you want a change from the barrister machine (which is also available), you can get your own cafetiere, selecting from 9 coffee beans from around the world. Very good breakfast baps too.

I cannot recommend this little cafe enough. Food, drinks and service were all absolutely faultless. It was very busy when we arrived about 1pm but we were greeted so cheerfully and helped to find a table. We chose the loaded hot chocolate (to help us thaw out!) followed by the soup and toastie combo - great value and all the food was homemade, fresh and totally delicious but the particular standout was the Brie, bacon and cranberry toastie. The staff were professional but also really friendly. This is a family business which clearly has a lot of repeat customers. Totally deserving of all the great reviews and I can’t wait to return.

Not a good cafe in the Louth Area. Many better options like, 601 Cafe Bar (Just around the corner) or even a chain brand like, Café Nero or Costa (Both Very close to here). Pretty sure they even have workers who looked to be under 16- not very good quality Cuppa. Just in general, not a nice vibe.

What makes this small coffee house stand out from other places in the town is the good selection of coffee from around the world. The Guatemalan coffee was superb, and the Brazilian coffee was also of high quality. A few listed were unavailable that day, but I would like to try some Burundian coffee the next time I visit.

This is the second time we have visited Larders recently, and on both occasions have been very impressed with the service and quality of coffee and food on offer. This time, a coffee and toasted teacake (toasted to perfection), served by very friendly and helpful staff. Having some of the tables setout in the market place added to the experience, the weather being far more comfortable compared to the last few days! We will definitely be back next time we are in Louth, the major coffee-mongers will have to do without our custom!

Local coffee shop with a good variety, that serves the best coffee in Louth. Always prefer to use a local family run business to the multi national companies, and Larders epitomises why. Jamie and his family are friendly, professional and welcoming, whether you're a regular returning, or a first time visitor. Quaint little place that also serves snacks, light lunches etc, you'll always receive a warm welcome

Being a coffee snob, I always do my research when visiting an area. This place is associated with a coffee roastery so seemed like a good bet. When we entered I was a bit concerned ; the interior (downstairs) felt like a very dated Fred's cafe and didn't have the usual look of somewhere that cares about coffee. The staff were all very welcoming so decided to stay. There were a big range of beans on offer but only for cafetiere, not espresso. Found this a little odd as one rarely sees cafetieres now. The flat whites we had were all very well made and the roast was pretty good. Sadly, they only offered semi skimmed milk, this is a crime in good coffee. The whole thing felt a bit mismatched; there are elements that look like they really care about coffee (locally roasted, range of beans, decent barista) but then others that would call this into question (I don't know any artisan coffee expert that wouldn't offer whole milk). Felt very confused by the experience and not sure if I would return or not.

I'd seen this place on Tripadvisor, so my friend and I decided to pop in for a snack whilst shopping in Louth. We wanted to sit upstairs, and saw an empty table with comfy chairs by the window. But we were told that it was a table for 4, so we couldn't sit there. We took a table squeezed in at the bottom of the stairs. A waitress took our orders and the order arrived very quickly. We had lattes and toasted tea cakes. Both food and drink were very nice, although I thought the tea cakes were a little thin. If you are a coffee connoisseur, this is a great place to go. There are a lot of options for different coffees from various countries of the world. But I was struck by the lack of any smiles from the staff in all the time we were there. And if you have young children in tow, there is absolutely no space for push chairs or similar.

We called as it was recommended to us but before we opened our mouths to order we were told we couldn’t order food as they were closing at 4.30 and it was 3.40. Correct me if I am wrong but by my calculation that would give them 50 mins to prepare something before it closed. So we had a coffee and cake and instead of relaxing to enjoy it we rushed it as we were aware they were anxious to close and leave.

I have been a regular customer for many years , always being my first choice for coffee and often lunch . After 3 visits I think that I’m going to find a new coffee shop , reason being that the service has slowed down to almost non existent. Twice I have waited over 10 minutes for an Americano , when the Cafe wasn’t busy , this was topped off on Monday lunch when I waited for my coffee for 15 minutes and 25 minutes for a Jacket Potato, it appeared that they had to send out twice to their Sister Cafe for filling etc . ( Coronation Chicken) . The quality hasn’t changed , it’s still good . I always was impressed by a member of the ’Larder Family’ being on duty , it doesn’t appear that way anymore . I don’t particularly want to spend my money with a Coffee Chain but I maybe will give it a go next visit into Louth . It’s very rare that I review and even rarer that I post a bad one but I don’t want to see this place disappear.

Went to Larder's 2 as my 2 week old baby needed feeding and it was freezing cold outside. We didn't order for 2 reasons, we didn't have a lot of time, just needed to feed our baby and then leave and also food and drink is very expensive. Had one member of staff help us warm up the bottle and was very polite and helpful however an older lady asked if we were ordering or just feeding the baby and when I informed her that we were just feeding and were about to leave gave us a really snooty look and walked away shaking her head. Within 1 minute of her walking away a man came over to inform us that we were being 'cheeky using all of their facilities when we were not ordering'. I told him that it was cold outside and we were just leaving and he continued to tell us in quite a loud voice at least 2 more times that we were being cheeky taking up their chairs. I could completely understand if the cafe was very busy however we were taking up 2 chairs and there were well over 10 chairs free. I could also understand if we had been there for hours but we were there no longer than 15 minutes. Clearly most of the staff are only polite to customers who are spending money and have no desire whatsoever to offer help to people looking for somewhere warm to spend a few minutes taking care of their child. I will absolutely not be spending my money here in future as I was disgusted with the way they treat people unless they're ordering.

Chose to have 2 toasted sandwiches, a latte and tap water, £12 something. We waited a good 20 minutes for our food AND drinks. Usually it would be nice to have drinks first especially as it was so so warm! Our drinks were brought after our toasties which were over cooked however we didn't complain as we'd waited so long. Having spent a considerable amount of our lives in New Zealand over the last 9 years then we know a good Flat White when we get one and unfortunately, despite the claims that this place knows a good coffee, they don't know how to make a flat white. I might as well have ordered a cup of hot milk. I couldn't drink the flat white and the scones were dry. If you're going to sell a flat white coffee then at least make it taste like an authentic flat white.

Had delicious toasted sandwich of sun-dried tomatoes with motzerella cheese plus coleslaw and a very nice chopped salad. The coffee is excellent too. Great place to stop for afternoon tea too ! Do recommend.

30 minute wait on a sandwich to which they didn't even have all the ingredients for in the end. Tables left uncleared but there were only 2 staff which I could see on a busy day which clearly wasn't enough. For the end product was vastly overpriced. The coffee was alright which is why this hasn't been given one star. It seems like it was poor planning on the part of management

Called into Louth to look in a kitchen shop only to find it closed for lunch so took a wander around. It was a sunny market day but passed 5 cafes/eateries, all closed! Saw the signs for The Larder down a small side alley and upon investigation found a lovely little cafe. Over two floors of a restored old building, this cafe was light and open with friendly staff. We only stop for a drink and was pleased to see coffee frappes on the menu. Opted for plain coffee rather than flavoured which wasn't on menu but staff were happy to do. Was beautifully blended with virtually no ice crystals, just lovely creamy smooth cold coffee, delicious! Husband had house tea which he was happy with. Would certainly be happy to call in again if in the area and look at the food options.

Popped in for a quick bite for lunch during my daughters lunch break. Food nicely presented and sandwiches delightful. Accompanied with a Latte, which was nice and hot.

Called in for coffee on an 'out of the blue' visit to Louth. Very impressed with the contemporary feel of this coffee house. Lovely coffee, good toilets and free wifi - what's not to like about the place! The staff were friendly and very helpful as well. I didn't have any food but the menu looked appealing for lunch/afternoon tea. I would call again and give it a try if I ever found myself in Louth again.

This was our second visit to Larders Coffee house but the first time for afternoon tea which was a gift for our wedding anniversary. We were directed to our table which had been reserved upstairs. Space is limited so it is important to book. The selection of fresh sandwiches and cakes was superb and all of excellent quality. Tea was served in a glass teapot which incorporated a filter chamber for the tea leaves. Yes, real tea ! I had forgotten how good it tasted. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will be returning again soon.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back

An unassuming little place that offers a friendly welcome and excellent, attentive service. It's got a cosy, slightly bio/eco feeling with very interesting plants and an insect hotel outside the door. Menu is limited but more than adequate for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nice music playing unobtrusively in the background too. A really great touch is their bottomless cup for tea or coffee. Blink and you'll miss this place as you drive along the busy and fast A52 between Boston and Skegness. It's on a cross-roads just after the main Friskney village turn-off travelling NE. But DON'T miss it because it really is a worthwhile pit-stop. Opposite, down the lane towards the Wash, there is some brilliant wild walking.
