OK, the egg bap was £1.95. For that I got a cold fried egg, what species of bird laid it I'm unsure? But a chicken wouldn't have noticed it popping out. The consistency of rubber was far from appealing, but as it laid there looking all anaemic and lost on the bap, I tried to spread it out to make it look more like a meal, I could have done with a steak knife to cut the bloody thing up! Shockingly bad!

Atrium Cafe: The atmosphere was totally ruined on the day I was there, by a young lad - presumably in a management capacity - coming in to the cafe and shouting at the staff. They were visibly upset. It is not what I'd expect in a hospital environment, where people are often feeling sensitive or vulnerable, and just want a quiet lunch/drink/whatever. I just hope the staff were OK, and the lad, clearly in a position of authority, can learn to manage his anger, and resolve issues quietly, as a manager should do.

Very tasty food. Would love to know the recipes for the salads they provide. My daughter was very happy with her wrap, After having vending machine wraps in the past which were awfully soggy and tasteless my little girl had a full tummy after eating the restaurants food.

Certainly gone done drastically since the refit. Much less choice and the prepacked meals are rubbish.

Over 4 days I was charged 4 different prices for the same meal ...the lady behind the counter asked for the debit card payment and then walks away before you can quiry it ...I looked at the till and it said £1.60 but she asked for £2.20 . Definitely some fraud going on here ...prices should be clearly sign posted ...certain staff are definitely taking advantage and committing fraud

We had cheese & tomato toasties. They were barely toasted so lukewarm. Hardly any cheese and 3 small slices of tomato in entire sandwich. Worst toastie we have had in 70 odd years.

Possibly the nicest lady , ive ever been served by Emma served really nice food

Very poor food in this place, but if you got a poorly family member this is your only option!

Good food but expensive for a spoonful of madras, extremely miserable woman serving who had no people skills whatsoever, wish we had been here 10 minutes later as much more polite people behind the counter then and our experience would have been much better.

Be fine exept o e very unhelpful young lady obsessed with testing food temp , for hygiene would not do a toasty. to busy, lost cheese filling,, Constantly wiping her noise on her wrist food hygiene!!!!!! And then o went down w ith COVID-19

Less gastro, more gastro-intestinal. Mind you, you don't come here for the food, service or atmosphere, so who cares? There are more important things in life.

Had meal here today, lovely friendly staff, clean environment, shame about major error menu advertised as a vegetarian dish actually had beef in it.

I've worked for the NHS many,many years and this is the best restaurant I've known. Staff are so friendly and professional, they clearly have a passion for their job. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. Food is delicious offering good variety and catering for all diets. Only negative, you need to take out a mortgage to buy the sandwiches- WAY over priced.

Great value food with friendly staff. I come regularly for breakfast or lunch, as the food is really good for the type of establishment it is.

Been at ruh every day visiting. Eatten few times here and no constancy. Had thin slice pork and 3 potatoes and gravy £6.10 .nor worth this much

Restaurant located within the hospital. Poor opening hours for staff who work shifts but ok for visitors and day staff. Good selection of hot and cold food but beware the selection is very limited at the end of the day. Free drinking water available. You can also bring your own boxes for food to be placed into which is a good idea. Staff always helpful.
