Landmark Cafe & Restaurant in North East Lincolnshire

We went for lunch at the Landmark Café and Restaurant for the first time today. The food was excellent, the staff were very helpful and efficient and the service was first class. We will definitely return for lunch or even try the breakfast and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to visit there. There is ample parking at the front of the café and a fantastic view at the rear.

Had my surprise 70th birthday 3rd Feb...food was great staff were even better prices very reasonable..Will go back again . Thankyou...

Having been numerous times in the past took my friend for the first. We both had the full English breakfast eggs were perfect however the bacon was dried out, sausages and mushrooms overcooked and the meal was only luke warm was disappointing

Called in on a lunchtime, it was busy. Food took a while to be served but worth the wait.

Disappointed. Had Quiche which was nice. Tea (Twinnings) was cold and mediocre. Waited 30 minutes for dessert, arrived after reminding staff. Got Apple crumble in a ridiculous pot with another pot with approximately 2 tablespoons of lumpy custard. Had to ask for a sensible bowl to put it in , then obviously needed extra custard, again lumpy. Crumble was like eating ROCKS 🪨 which spoilt the meal. This delay then resulted in staff, before we had finished, telling us we had 10 minutes to vacate the table. Maybe the staff should learn more about customer service, less about fancy presentation and improve their timing so people are not rudely oused from their table. Went as a guest with a friend but most definitely will not return and wouldn't recommend. Pricing is expensive for what is offered.

Great way to start Christmas Eve with a breakfast Shakshuka at the Landmark cafe. Highly recommend a visit. Food and service was first class.

I was disappointed to find that a standard and large coffee were the same price? Why? The maple syrup pancakes a small quantity of syrup was drizzled over the top of the pile rather than it being supplied separately, this left all pancakes in the stack other than the top one very dry. After having been recommended to dine here I left disappointed and felt overcharged.

This was my 3rd visit with different friends each time. Food is always amazing & staff very polite & welcoming definitely would recommend & will return again in the new year 🙂

Was asked to leave before our food was finished. Not told we had a limited time at table. Customers near us also commented about "table police" as happened to them also. Shame as we liked visiting. *update* Now being told a lie to what happened so changed all stars to one. That's not how it unfolded so don't try cover up your rude staff that haven't the customer service expectated for visiting your cafe. Not all of them I might add just the one that poorly handled our situation that day.

I was hoping for better weather, as I gather the views over the river are good. Shame it was dull and raining. Food was prompt from ordering, and the quality was good

Drove past on our way to Donna Nook to see the seals and it looked inviting so decided to stop on our way home for a late lunch. We didn’t have a reservation but owner was accommodating and found us a table. All staff, including owner were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, we both had the Philly Cheesesteaks and a pudding which were thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area, but would advise to book first if you can, as they were busy, understandably so, as it’s a lovely place.

Stopped for breakfast, they bought the coffee straight away but breakfast was another 30 minutes so had to spend another £8 on 2 more coffees, breakfast looked good but was all cold, bacon very under cooked and sausage tasted sour, my husband eats anything and even he left his! Waste of £36 do yourself a favour and drive past

Went to the cafe couple of days ago for lunch along with my daughter, ordered cheesy baked beans jacket potato and fiery loaded fries. My daughter tucked into her jacket potato and chewed onto which something tasty absolutely yuck and it seemed like big lump of mud a size of cherry tomato!! We promptly reported it to the staff and the manager was brought in. Yes, we were offered an apology and refund as we should have. But there was no extra mile of customer service there. Just did what they should have been doing nothing more than protocol and robotic..absolutely basic and matter of fact. While I understand occasionally things can go wrong, good customer service is what keeps the reputation. Our experience at the cafe did not make us feel like they value the customers.

After being told this wasn't the best place for an evening meal I was a bit apprehensive. But I honestly could not fault it. There was a lot of us and every meal was piping hot. And no one could fault their meal. Staff were polite and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend for an evening meal. We will definitely be returning as a big party again. Out on the motorcycle and popped in for lunch had a lovely quiche and salad sat outside shouldn't be sitting outside in October great view and lovely staff would recommend.

Busy Saturday afternoon, didn’t have space indoors so had to sit outside. Service and food was quick, only ordered snacks as can’t sit too long outside, quite a cold windy day.

Stopped by with friends for breakfast. The food was very good quality and price. Beautiful setting and views. The owner and all the staff were welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Very nice, food was tasty and fresh, staff attentive and helpful Will be back again in the near future. Only downsides for me, was very warm in the restaurant and speaker directly above us, music tad loud and not particularly easy listening. Hasn’t put us off though would just ask to be seated away from speakers next time

Dropped in, without a reservation, but the lovely people found me a table on the terrace. Then the sun came out, what could be better. Shakshuka from the breakfast menu (served until noon) it was perfect!

Awful customer service. Called to ask if we could book a table, they said they were unable to take anymore bookings which was fair enough, but said we were more than welcome to turn up and see if they had tables free. We turned up, and they told us they’re not accepting walk-ins today. We mentioned we had called only 45 mins earlier to try and book and they explicitly said on the phone to walk-in and see if they had tables, only to turn up and said they are not accepting walk-ins today. Please don’t say you accept walk-ins when you don’t, very poor customer service.

Breaded Mushrooms were a bit dry and cheese cake was rubbery. One of the young girls serving was quite rude. Ruined the night.

Just visited Landmark cafe today for lunch with my family.. we tried to book for lunch the previous day but the time slots which were available were no good to us.. whilst speaking to the lovely lady she mentioned that we could come as a walk in and with the weather being so nice at the minute we would more than likely get a table on the terrace.. we walked in and was greeted by a very friendly lady I explained we had not booked but was there any tables on the terrace.. within a few moments the ladies had cleaned a table as someone had just left we was then shown to our table…the terrace is so clean with comfortable table & chairs the views are just amazing!!! we had a beautiful relaxing lunch.. our granddaughter loved the chicken nuggets(100% chicken battered) and chips.. hubby had fish and chips which he really enjoyed he said the fish was amazing and added that the chips were lovely too.. my daughter and myself had a jacket potato and side salad which was perfect aswell.. we will definitely be visiting again. A lovely bright restaurant in a beautiful part of the Lincolnshire wolds, with stunning views. Went for a breakfast, I was pleased to see they had vegan options on the menu and alternatives to milk. Ordered smashed avocado on sour bread toast. I was disappointed to be served what appeared to be guacamole out of a tub. Definitely not fresh avocados. I found this misleading. It tasted ok, but not what I was expecting. On a positive note, it really is a stunning place to visit and staff are very friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the views are breathtaking but above all the staff are wonderful and the customer service is exceptional. My friends are over from Barcelona and even though we hadn’t booked and they were closing for a private function they allowed us in for food and drinks still. Thank you Landmark for going above and beyond.

Poor service, paid more and when said different price on menu wasn’t bothered. Food cold, staff shouting at staff. Not nice. Really gone down hill. Shame as it was lovely before. Manager didn’t even want to rectify or acknowledge I’d paid more. Disappointing.

My friend and I had a first visit here today, we both opted for scampi which was lovely… We decided to take cake home but thought it very expensive for two slices of cake… probably won’t buy next time… (unless of course we were overcharged)… Staff were lovely and friendly and the premises was very clean… definitely recommend to family and friends.. UPDATE in response to reply…. I was charged £11.50 for 2 pieces of cake… so obviously I was overcharged…

Nice setting and on a good day lovely views outside. Best to book before visiting. Unfortunately the road works cause a delay in getting there a the moment. If you pre book the service is better. Had a palaver purchasing gift vouchers, can only do in person at certain times. Could work on their customer service. Thankfully a gentleman sorted it out, as on the 2nd attempt of trying to purchase they had switched of the machine before advertised closing time and I felt like I was an inconvenience. Otherwise I wouldn't have recommended another visit nor bought the vouchers. Would be a great place to have cake and coffee too if open more.

Our first visit to the Landmark Café, and it definitely won't be our last. The views from the veranda are outstanding, and the decor and ambience are lovely. Greeted by a helpful, professional hostess makes you feel like this is a much bigger occasion than coffee and a cake! Our coffees were really good and the cakes were ...... Sublime! Thoroughly recommend this little jewel in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.

We got bought some vouchers to come try the Landmark so decided to pop for lunch It was extremely busy and very very noisy with people chatting but the place itself was immaculately clean and views to die for Staff were really friendly and helpful The food was lovely and quite reasonably priced drinks a little expensive but a good selection of alcoholic or soft cold ones We will def be returning

Can't believe we couldn't get a table, even for coffee at 10.30 today, so can't rate it. Such a shame, we were really looking forward to it.

EDIT (I'm updating this review because of a reply from the owner.) You're right, I don't know your protocols, nor what had happened that day, or why. I also don't know your personal circumstances, your lived experiences, who you are as a person, or what you were going through that day. It isn't really relavent though. Good leaders mould their people, they don't scold them. They certainly don't do it in public, and never directly to a customer. I witnessed all three, and then a follow up in response to this review. As Maya Angelou once said, “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” No matter what your staff had or had not done, you have a responsibility to guide them. If protocols aren't followed - or can't be when under stress - that's on you, not them, you wrote them. - The two star service is because of, who I assume, was the proprietor. He publicly critisized his young staff, first to their faces and then, whilst swaning off for a cigarette, to us. The staff were obviously run off their feet and doing their best. Food was really good and the staff were excellent. If it hadn't been for the poor management style of the owner/manager, it would have been an excellent experience.

Heard a lot of good reviews about this place so checked it out on the website and booked in. We wanted a Carvery dinner but they had stoped it on the menu and only do what you can call fast food ,ie chips ,burgers,fish n chips . The menu was a little disapointing but reasonably priced. The place was amazing with a fantastic views and the owner and staff were brilliant. I would go again for afternoon tea or a snack but thats it. Such a shame about the menu

Quality food and service, friendly & professional, reasonable value too. The view is great from inside and out, building a bit utilitarian (the only con we felt). Power cut occurred whilst we were there, all dealt with professionally under difficult circumstances. Error occurred with our drinks order, dealt with professionally and apologetically, a real pleasure to be there. Thank you. Darren, Katrina & James.

Just been to Landmark cafe again with another friend. Always impressed by the view, friendly staff too. The Rasberry and white chocolate cheesecake went down a treat after our lovely lunch. I had the quiche my friend had the jacket potato. Great place to chat and drink in the view. Not pressed by the staff to leave. Super atmosphere. See you soon X

Not much to say about this café 💜💜💜💜. If you've not been here yet, why not?!! Amazing service by the ladies who worked there on Tuesday morning. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, and of course the brilliant views over the wolds. Will definitely visit again. Thanks for a great service.

Absolutely beautiful place, we stopped by yesterday on our way home for a drink and food and drove back from Hull today for dinner. There isn't a bad thing I could say about the place, amazing views, fantastic service and great food. Says a lot to say we have been have back twice in two days and will definitely return again, thank you again for taking care of us this evening, very much appreciated

This was our first visit here on Friday morning I've been passing this place at work for months and been dying to try it out and I wasn't disappointed, the service was great, the food and drinks was top notch all topped off with the amazing view and great atmosphere. It's nice to have something like this local to us, we'll definitely be back again for dinner as we've already been eyeing up the ploughman's sharer 😋, was also good to see it had a bar side to it too and nice selection of drinks 🍸

Stopped by for a drink after a long drive. So happy to have found this place. Probably the nicest cafe I've ever eaten at. 1000% going to return even if it is a bit of a trek.
