Landguard Canteen in Suffolk Coastal

I've visited this fish and chips shop many times. Usually I would have given a better rating, but something has changed. The queue outside is normally fairly long, but the service ensures that it moves quickly. This evening, despite several staff working, everything was slow. The fish was full of bones which I haven't experienced for a while at any fish and chips shops. I started eating and immediately was pulling bone after bone out of my mouth, and the person I was with (who I'd told how good this place was) was being polite and pulling bones out of their mouth saying "I'm not that hungry, I'll just have a bit"🙄. To be honest, the chips were greasy. I'll caveat the above by saying that last year the fish and chips at this place were good, so perhaps just an off-day, but hopefully this isn't a permanent change! Moving on to Aldeburgh itself.....in years gone by, there was always a strict "No feeding seagulls" to keep the seafront a nice place to eat. The seafront was always tidy. This evening, there was litter all over the place. Wooden forks laying all over the floor, seagulls eating discarded chips on the pavement, empty ketchup sachets thrown on the floor etc. This is unusual for Aldeburgh and hopefully won't become a permanent problem! Prices at the Golden Galleon - £24 for two medium (small and bony) cod and chips, 2 x cans of Coke, and 2 x sachets of ketchup.

Had a well earned rest and lunch

I tried ordering off the app, no luck, kept saying the post code us invalid. So I phoned the shop, placed my order, paid then wad asked for the address, although they new I was at felixstowe beach holiday park, although they new it was on Walton avenue, felixstowe, although they all new exactly where I was staying, they postcode on the computer was saying invalid, so they could not deliver! Joke of a company, bunch of clowns! My advice, use 4 3 pizza instead, I went there afterwards, freshly cooked, customer friendly! P.s. Domino's pizza app deleted!

Tried this takeaway after becoming disappointed with our previous Chinese and were pleasantly surprised! Very friendly on the phone, happy to customise dishes, tasty hot food & free prawn crackers! Have now ordered from here 3 times and have been pleased each time.

Very bad do not recommend. I found a egg shell in my noodles. The staff were rude especially the kid with glasses who was around the age of 14- 16 and served me. I requested for another meal but instead they were very rude and horrible to my 84 year old grandma. I will never be returning ever again.
