Unos 20 platos a elegir.

It's quite nice. Could do with a larger assortment of desserts and cheaper drinks. Quite a small intimate restaurant. Not a wide selection of drinks. Drinks also quite costly.

We are here as I'm a patient at a nearby hospital and was desperate to get off the ward for a meal! It's a very small buffet (we ate around 5pm)... The food is ok but very limited choices. The beef in black bean sauce was one of the best I've had and the pork fried rice was good... Nothing else stood out though and I probably wouldn't return, there are lots of other places to try in the area. Prices are 6.99 for the buffet, 3.99 for takeaway box.

Visited today after appointment at Kings Hospital with my wife. We have tried a number of London oriental buffets where the price was cheap and the food bland. What a revelation Lamoon was. My wife is a wheelchair user and when the lady in charge saw us struggling to get in she went out of her way to help and get us comfortably seated. It is a small buffet and certainly not ostentatious. However the food was the best buffet we have tasted. The sweet and sour chicken was the tastiest ever and the ribs in barbeque sauce amazing with so much meat. I could not fault the food at all and will be returning on our next appointment at Kings.

Generally buffets aren't great, but this food wasn't bad. We've been a number of times, if you go later on the food is a little stale, but when it's fresh it's great. The staff are all really friendly. Overall a good, cheap place for Chinese food. They also do take away boxes. Small for £3.99 or large for £5.99

Used to be my favourite chinese but has now changed hands and turned into a buffet style mess of foo. Yuk! Avoid.

I've been to Lamoon many times over the years and they have recently switched to buffet only style. Some colleagues and I went today to take advantage of their half price offer (£4 instead of £8 for lunch) and we were pretty underwhelmed. Lamoon used to do a great lunchtime offer at around £7 for two courses or the option to order as much or as little as you wanted. Now, it's £8 flat rate and the food was average at best. Another point is that the size and shape of the restaurant does not comfortably cater for buffet style. It's too small. I miss the friendly waiting service and good food from days gone by!

Very nice friendly little family run place, very good fresh food at a good price, they don't use additive msg like everywhere else and don't skimp on quality ingredients, they are also very happy to take your order any way you want it.

Very disappointed on this return trip. The menu hasn't changed much but it didn't live up to expectations. Good portions, starters were good (spare ribs + soft shell crab) but the mains were not as enjoyable. A very odd wine list, could not figure out some of the descriptions and not good value. The service, although pleasant and friendly, was not up to scratch. We were very surprised when a party came in with a reservation for 7 people and they didn't know anything about it? (The large, round table was covered with family debris). Were the usual staff on a family event or holidays? (We certainly didn't recognise any of these guys). A bit let down, hope the next visit is better.

Never been in the restaurant, but regularly use the takeaway service. We live in Dulwich, which tells you enough about the local Chinese, that we need to order from Sydenham. Its good, and the price is reasonable. Its not up there with Chinatown, but having food that's made a 3 mile trip, it ticks all the boxes for me

We ordered the crispy duck which was very fresh and tasty with a generous portion, followed by the crispy noodles with prawn, chicken and pork, seafood noodles and pak choi in ginger sauce.Everything was very fresh and came with lots of lovely green vegetables and you could really taste the sesame, ginger and individual spices. The service was very attentive and welcoming. Well worth a visit. The only thing they could improve was the choice of music which was some repetitive pop song but it only slightly marred a wonderful evening.

It's a lovely little gem in Camberwell. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the restaurant is small, can get busy at the end of the month on lunch time. It is modern and very clean. They offer a set up menu with a lot of choice, for just £6, and the food is fresh and super tasty. In the evening and weekends, they offer a la carte menus. It is a great place to eat for any occasion.

You be hard pressed to beat this chinese restaurant. I have been eating here for several years and always come back for the mouthwatering variety of dishes on offer. Beautifully cooked and presented, I haven't had anything i haven't enjoyed. I especially recommend the steamed sea-bass in soy and ginger. None of the dishes are greasy, as so often associated with chinese food. I simply won't go anywhere else, this has to be the best chinese restaurant in South London and the family who run it are simply lovely, so friendly and welcoming! Well worth the visit!!

I have been going here for 2 years and the standard never drops. The lunch set menu is a local institution, great food at a great price. Wonderful family service as well. Best in London? Maybe. In South London a resounding YES!

I have to say that thsi is probably the best Chinese food I have had in London. PLEASE take the trouble to visit this restaurant. The decor may not be the greatest (think 1980s) but OH MY GOD the food is superb. tryine to lose weight I would avoid Chinese generally for the faty fried dishes in batter. BUT here they are light as a feather and not greasy...fantastically tasty thought. Lemon drizzle prawns a big high five, Peppered soft shell crab amazing, the crispy duck.... all up there with the best.May second visit...get there if you can!

Maybe I went at the wrong time of day, late evening, but tje food I had was typical of low effort Chinese food. Glue sauce, bright colours, nos especial flavour. Wouldn't go again. Its not worse than any other bog standard Chinese restauarant, but no better. The problem is bog standard Chinese food is well bog standard. The MacDonalds of Asian cooking.

Wandering through Denmark Hill with my mum recently, we were desperately trying to decide where to eat, when we stumbled upon Lamoon. We nearly walked straight mast it as it doesn;t look much like a restaurant from the outside with it's black facade, but I am so glad we found it.We ate from the lunch menu which was very reasonably priced (especially considering I am not a Londoner and am used to countrified prices). I had mini spring rolls to start and sesame chicken for main and relished every mouthfull! The staff were very friendly & the place was very clean & well kept.I would recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese food & am only sorry that I live so far away from it!

We used to live in Camberwell + often go back to visit friends. We always make sure we pop in here. Food is great, cheap + consistently good. A family run place, one of the best Chinese/Cantonese restaurant we have had the pleasure to dine in.

I had some food from the Lamoon restaurant while visiting London recently. I tried their chicken and shiitake noodle soup, jasmine rice, and their spicy tofu casserole. The dishes were tasty, and had a comforting, home cooked feel. I don't think they were exceptional, in terms of traditional Chinese meals, but I enjoyed the food, and the servings were generous (plenty of shiitake mushrooms in the soup, plenty of tofu in the casserole, decent side portions.) Also, the cost of the meal was very reasonable, especially for London! I would be happy to eat there again.

The food was nice for the price. Interesting menu with unconventional ingredients. However, the restaurant looked unfinished and very bright, which is uncomfortable for dining and enjoying the food. Also the wine selection was poor and not very good. They are all points that are not forgiving in a London restaurant. Unless it's a fast food but then it shouldn't have a restaurant setting and be mentioned somewhere.

Absolutely love this restaurant! We have ordered from here plenty of times and it’s always been fantastic. Great portion sizes and the food is really tasty so definitely recommend ordering from here! We usually get 1/2 crispy duck, crispy shredded beef, Singapore noodles and egg fried rice. The curry sauce isn’t very thick and isn’t my favourite one that I’ve tried but it’s alright if you really want one with your dinner. Really quick service too, I usually prefer to pick up and from calling the restaurant to order, the food is typically ready in 20 mins which is great.

Disappointing evening. Food was nothing special but service definitely lacking. The restaurant was busy, it was made clear they wanted our table back on time but our server introduced himself to us then left us alone and didn’t bother returning to take our order. We were trying to get someone attention all evening to order food or drinks - it was a big birthday and cost was over £500 for 4 people but wish we had gone elsewhere!!!
