Lambs Green Inn in East Dorset

We popped in for some lunch and Sharon found us a table and looked after us really well and made us feel like valued regular customers.

Very disappointed. We're going to stop for something to eat, but the general cleanliness and disorganised pub area, put us off order more than a drink and pork scratchings. Tables left with dirty crockery throughout our time there. Staff chatting at bar and did not appear to notice. Customers came in and had to clear their own table, as they wanted to sit in a window box. Fire had been made but allowed to go out. Would have been inviting and warming to have maintained. New additions of 1 blanket per window box, presume for these occasions. Staff chatting between themselves pwhilst serving a gentleman at the door. Long gone are the usual greeting you used to be met with at the door on arrival. Finished our drinks and made our way to a much warmer, friendlier and cheaper Wetherspoons in Wimborne. Same hygiene rating as the Lambs but half the price!

My partner and I had dinner here tonight. We were served by Kate who was very helpful and full of joy which was lovely. Quick service and three courses later we are well fed and very happy. Thanks to all the team, but specifically Kate for looking after us this evening.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my mother. The food was great and Kate looked after us fabulously 10/10 would recommend

Used to love this place. Recent experience was dire. Waited hour for starter, ordered a msin which were informed only had as a starter and overall service poor. Food on whole pretty poor and thst is a generous assessment. Wont be going back 👎

The Lambs Green used to be a really lovely night out, but the atmosphere amongst staff seemed really down this evening. The only reason this review is worth so high is because there was an exception to this atmosphere in Katie, who was incredibly friendly, fast service with a smile, and very diligent with all orders. If it wasn't for Katie, this night would not have been what it was, so thank you Katie for saving the evening.

The inn looked very tired and unkempt the grass at the front of the building was long and weedy, out the back in the garden area we sat under a shelter which was dirty floor unsweped tables not cleared and dirty, a planter broken with soil and weed, when our coffee eventually came it was cold so went and informed someone behind the bar who was not appogetic all in all this pub has gone down in tidiness and cleanliness.

We had this pub recommended to us by friends, but sadly were sorely disappointed by the experience we had there. When we arrived we waited some time in the entrance whilst young girls rushed past clearing tables, but no one stopped to ask us about our reservation. The base of my pizza was burnt; which really marred the flavour & frankly I'm surprised a decent chef wasn't aware that it had happened. Our actual waitress was very efficient & apologetic about the quality of the food. It won't be a venue we'll be returning to.

A lovely meal here today served by the very efficient Sharon. Food was really hot which makes such a change. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

They were obviously busy even at 5-30 as had special offers running. Some confusion when waiting to be seated but once seated our order was taken quickly. We had a very nice pub meal and all was great. Haddock was not massive but a good size and very tasty. All servers were friendly. Cosy too.

We got our favourite server Sharon who gave outstanding service as usual. She made sure we knew knew the vegetable options on our food, additionally making sure the food was served the right way round and made us feel like she really cares about us. She even took a photo of us. Both the fish and fishcakes were excellent quality. If we’re eating when Sharon’s working we ask for her when we book.

We visited Friday lunch time and the restaurant was busy. Our lovely waitress Sharon, who has served us several times now, is always happy, frinedly and busy! We booked a table for two last night for my partner's birthday, and had a very pleasant evening. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and our steaks were just as we ordered. We are still talking about our visit today. Thoroughly recommended!

Greeted at the door by Sharon who showed us to our table, also reminding me of the steps as I walk with a stick. Very pleasant atmosphere and busy. Did not have to wait for drinks order as Sharon took straight away followed by the meal order, Hunters Chicken Schnitzel and Home Baked Pie of the Day "Steak".....spot on... Just had a fantastic lunch at the Lambs Green Inn with friends. If you have never been to this venue before it is well worth going out of your way for. Excellent food, great value for money and a special thank you to Sharon who looked after us so well throughout, Sharon explained the various menu options and what was available on the specials board. Sharon kept us topped up with drinks and the odd was presented brilliantly and so professionally. I would highly recommend this venue, my photos do not do the food justice, but believe me you won’t be disappointed. BIG thank you to the team at The Lambs Green Inn and particularly to Sharon who invited us all back and we will be taking her up on that offer, for sure.

A lovely menu in a very attractive setting. Our waitress, Kate was very helpful and welcoming. There was music in the background but it was turned down low so we could talk. The menu catered for all diets. Highly recommended.

First time visiting with my hubby (was recommended by his friend) and wasn't disappointed. The whole ambiance of this cute country inn was very pleasing and inviting. The staff were happy and friendly. Everything was clean. The food was A+ and so was the service. Our waitress Sharon was a busy little beaver but did so well keeping up with everything....she was pleasant, friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back.

To suggest that the Lambs Green Inn is a “destination” pub (which it undoubtedly is - with its olde world charm, excellent restaurant, good beers and views of the rolling countryside overlooking picturesque Wimborne Minster) does this welcoming village inn a bit of a disservice. I suspect that if I were a local I’m sure I’d find a cosy snug to while away a few hours while viewing the world through the bottom of a glass and if I ever have a canine companion I’d be comforted in the knowledge that they would be well catered for as well. Nothing appears too much or seems to faze the friendly and attentive staff. Our server Sharon was only too helpful when questioned about the menu as well as offering insightful advice regarding this beautiful part of Dorset. I’m sure we’ll be back (Spoiler: we have…)

Ordered a takeaway Sunday roast. Got to say absolutely beautiful!!!!! Roast beef, 3 large slices, loads of roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots parsnips, huge Yorkshire pudding and gravy. One of the best roasts I've ever had!! Beautiful, just beautiful

We booked for dinner as there was 50% off mains and that always makes things attractive. We arrived and were shown our table. The drinks were quickly delivered and we had decided on what we wanted. TJ had the lasagne and side salad that looked very nice and I had the Mac & cheese that came with garlic bread and side salad and I added streaky bacon, to finish it off . Just to add our light dinner we decided to share a portion of chips with our mains and it finished things off nicely. The service was quick and friendly the food was hot and delicious and we had a really pleasant experience, we’ll be back soon

Our server Sharon gave outstanding service as usual, helping me use the best app offer. Food was very high quality especially the turkey pies which were very hot and meaty with a lovely selection of vegetables including sprouts which we love.

Impeccable Sharon is the meet and greet server every establishment should have. She's quick , efficient and charming....nothing gets past her when you order. She gets it right first time. The food is equally impressive, we had pizza Flatbread and sticky chicken, which were delicious and all we needed to break our 5 hour journey from Torquay to Eastbourne. Visited this pub with family for dinner. After a less than favourable 'welcome' at a different wimborne pub, where we were left standing at the door for ages! On arrival to the Lambs Inn, we were immediately welcomed at the door by Daniel. Daniel appeared friendly and welcoming. We said that we had not booked, but it was no problem at all, and we were shown to a lovely window seat in the bar area. I asked what beers and whiskeys were available, as that it my tipple. Daniel appeared very knowledgeable on the alcohol available and which to recommend to suit my taste. The food was excellent and i would definitely recommend it. From start to finish, we enjoyed our experience at the Lambs Inn and were very pleased to have found such a lovely, friendly and relaxing place.
