Lamb Pub and Food Served in Camden

My colleagues enjoyed the quality of the food and beer. We appreciated the jug of water and sense of privacy as we chatted. I love the surrounding area.

We were a large party of 14, but thanks to the facility to pre-order our food in advance the food service was smooth and everybody received the food they had ordered (without even having to remember what they ordered!). The food was tasty and well-presented and the prices were fair for central London. I had the fish and chips, which were delicious, and a very generous portion of sticky toffee pudding. It was also nice to find Free Damm non-alcoholic beer on tap. The pub is full of character, and I would certainly visit again. Special thanks to Irene for help with the original booking, and to Ralph for looking after us on the day.

Really enjoyed our dining experience here. We went specifically for an "English Roast Dinner" and this place had been mentioned multiple times on a London FB group as "the" place to find an authentic one. The interior is very old; cozy and charming. The service was fabulous and our dinner was delicious. All in all, very satisfying!

Great atmosphere, good food, excellent service from the friendly efficient wait staff. Good selection of well-kept real ales. High marks for the Lancashire hotpot. Will definitely go again.

Ralph and the Team made us so welcome. We used the room for a memorial meeting for a colleague: all of us said that the Lamb was a perfect place and it was a great evening

I wanted to express my extreme thanks to The Lamb for letting us have our (22) group dinner there on Sunday, 16 June. Everything went great and William and Bella were great hosts. People in the group commented on the dinner throughout the week and I think more than a few returned to enjoy a quiet drink. I hope to be able to do this again at The Lamb with a future group. We threw a surprise 30th here, not only were the staff kind and friendly, they went out of their way to help us. In particular, Alessandro really put in a long and fun stint, was incredibly charming and kind and helped whenever we had issue. Irene was also extremely lovely. We loved it, will come back for a weekly, and enjoyed every minute.

To look at a stunning Victorian pub. Off the main hub of Bloomsbury. Charming lovely Spanish staff member from Valencia. Service acceptable. My the food. Not sure how you can go wrong with simple fish and chips. But they did. Cheapest lowest quality frozen chips. Poorly cooked. But the fish. Tasted a tad off. Batter like a tortoise shell. Greasy slimy strange colour. And the sort of peas? And other stuff in mini receptacles. Darent touch as looked ab dubious. Such a shame really. It’s an old London boozer. Gorgeous. And the atmosphere was grim. Groups of Uber priveleged students from nearby LSE revelling in their wealthy takeover. Loudly and densely. We moved to stop them drowning out us being able to talk. The Lamb looks like a local. Don’t be fooled. Standards are seemingly kept low by an endless stream of undiscerning tourists. From a nameless country that likes orange politicians. Positive was the lovely lady from Valencia. The Provençal rose was good I would say

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere, but the best thing about it is the food. The menu is fabulous and I could have ordered everything! The oysters were sensational and my fish and chips were the best I’d ever tasted! The staff are so lovely at this pub, the service was exceptional. Having a Masterchef Winner as the head chef is the icing on the cake. We will be back!

Having heard great things about the Sunday roasts being served at The Lamb in Lamb’s Conduit Street, we decided to booked a table for our group and put their roasts to the test. The verdict: Wow, wow and wow! Not only did Ralph & William (the owners) welcome us as if we were dear friends, the service throughout our Sunday lunch was impeccable. Irene, who waited our table, was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food. As for the roasts…between our group we had the chicken, the Welsh lamb and the beef annd they were all sublime. I had the Welsh lamb which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. All roasts were accompanied by the fantastic roast potatoes which had been cooked in goose fat and they were the perfect texture of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The carrots were buttery, the parsnips were sweet and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. The gravy was rich and flavoursome and in abundance. I have to say that this is the best Sunday roast that I’ve ever had in a pub. Natalie, the head chef, deserves high praise for her cooking and for elevating the culinary standards at The Lamb. We will certainly be going back and if Sunday roasts are your thing, you’d be hard pressed to find better!

Went to the lamb for the first time. I can certainly say it won’t be my last. I reckon this venue will be our definite go to for food and atmosphere. Met friends for a roast dinner, being a Northerner I’m particular about a roast. I can say it didn’t disappoint great portion sizes, home made Yorkshire pudding ms, great selection of veg, and the gravy…. Wow. The lamb has a great selection of wine and craft beers. Lovely traditional pub. The staff are great. Very welcoming and helpful We’re already planning our next visit.

DELICIOUS Sunday lunch at The Lamb! I had the roast lamb which chef Nat had slow cooked for 24 hrs before roasting so it was gorgeous and tender, with yummy sides a plenty! Highly recommend this for a lunch with friends. The pub is stunning with original features, the guys who run it were SO friendly and welcoming, and the food was awesome!

Very friendly and casual place, with a chilled crowd and nice service (especially the bar guys are brilliant!). Good food choices and presentation for the chain place, compared to other Young's pubs. We've had just a few snacks but all was delicious! Will be back!

A casual dinner with a friend at the Lamb. I booked a table knowing it would be busy of a Thursday evening. No separate dining room, so we seated were amongst the lively hubbub of fellow diners, drinkers, tourists, students and regulars. We even ended up letting a couple share our table! Fine for us - may not suit all. The welcome was warm from the bar staff. Some patience required when ordering at the bar - but to be expected on a busy Thursday - London’s new Friday! The food was great value ; my friend enjoyed the burger and fries. My bavette steak was cooked to perfection accompanied by piping hot thick cut chips. It was essentially classic pub food done to a high standard. All at a great price relative to the Bloomsbury location. Would certainly return.

The atmosphere and choice of drinks were great however it was spoilt by the barmans officious service. I waited quietly whilst he served the ladies on my right. During this time a man joined the queue on my left. When he finished serving the ladies he completely ignored me and asked the man what he wanted. The man kindly said I was next. The barman then turned to me and officiously told me to switch off my mobile phone light which was only on because I was holding it under the bar with the menu so I could read the name of the wines I wanted. I explained this politely to him. The poor service continued no smiles, no understanding. I felt very intimidated by him as well as upset. I could not believe he could treat a 66 year old woman in that way.

Really good Sunday roast dinners all round for our party of 6, nice atmosphere in a genuine, down-to-earth pub, our waitress was friendly & helpful ..... would happily return to The Lamb and recommend!

We rented the Empire room for slightly over expanded family Christmas drinks and had a fab time. We had the room to ourselves with a staffed bar. It was great. Highly recommend as a solution to needing a space for a large group to congregate.

Found this delightful pub by accident after visiting the beautiful St Christopher’s Chapel at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Had the Cumberland sausages with creamed potatoes and a Yorkshire pud. Really delicious and very good service.

Nous sommes allés 2 fois dans ce pub, une fois en salle et une fois en terrasse. Pub très traditionnel dans son décor et son atmosphère (assez tranquille) mais aussi original et délicieux dans sa carte. Un ré-interprétration des plats de pub généreuse et gustative.

Was recommended by friends and the food was very good quality. We all had Sunday roasts of some sort though when they came, the server said "you need more gravy as it looks dry". It was so okay but then, when nothing arrived after 10 minutes we went up to the till and asked after the gravy, we were promised its arrival but when we had finished, still no gravy.

With the good reviews we saw we were expecting a nice place with excellent food. The food, Sunday roast was nothing to write home about.

Our group of 15 came for a meal here after an evening event at the Dickens Museum and the team couldn't have been more helpful, especially when everyone wished to order and pay individually.

Was staying nearby and a friend and I decided we wanted a roast. It was about 630pm on a Sunday and we tried the Lamb. I had beef and my friend had the nut roast as she is a vegetarian. She said it was the best nut roast she has ever had ! We washed down with some Youngs bitter. Service was friendly and atmosphere was great. No TV either. Really good evening.

First abs last time visiting this bar. We were refused service due to being 'drunk' despite being sober, either because I accidentally choked on my drink, or because my friend knocked over my glass when I put it back on the bar.

What a great find...a great pub that does a good range of booze and food...best is that there's a courtyard/beer garden out back that you can even have a cigarette!!

Pedimos 2 pescado y patatas fritas y un plato de vientre de cerdo. Las papas fritas estaban destinadas a ser fritas triples pero sabían que estaban calentadas 3 veces más. . . El vientre de cerdo prácticamente no tenía carne. Soy consciente de que la barriga de cerdo tiene grasa, pero esto fue solo un montón de gotas de grasa. Terminé comiendo solo el puré. . . Cuando le dije a la persona que nos quitó los platos que la comida era decepcionante y no comestible, simplemente me ofrecieron un café gratis. Teniendo en cuenta que pagué 14 por el plato de panceta de cerdo que ni siquiera pude comer, un café gratis fue insultante y lo rechacé. Después de una semana completa de comer en Londres, esta fue la peor comida que tuve. Para ser justos, mis padres dijeron que los postres eran buenos. . . No me arriesgué a pedir postre después de la comida fiasco.

I went there on a busy Friday night. The staff found me a chair and made sure I got a meal, even though the kitchen had just closed. The Victorian decor was nice, and the beer list was good. The burger was very good also.

Esta vez reservé el Lower Lamb para un almuerzo de reunión para 15 amigos que no se habían visto en tres años. Hi, we organised our farewell party at the lamb upstairs room. The room is perfect for gatherings. We ordered platters which were delicious. Beer was delicious too, great selection. The manager and service staff are extremely friendly and everything was easy. We had loads of fun and will definitely visit again when back in London.

La comida era satisfactoria y bien presentada, compartimos una fuente de quesos, pero otros en la fiesta tenían almuerzos de pub tradicionales como pastel. We just called in for a drink before going on to eat next door. The Lamb really appealed: lots of wood and glass, plenty of old photos on the walls. A good choice of beers, wines and spirits. Next time, we'll sample the food.
