We ate a high top inside the bar and had a great experience and solid service. The bartender was so friendly and kind, and the waitress checked on us often. The food was also delicious! We just walked by and happened to stop in and were so glad we did.

Great little pub. Reasonable prices. Pints went down a treat on a hot London day. Could be nice to throw some ice and lemons in the water, especially in the summer. Food looked good from what we saw.

Nice pub to have a good drink and enjoy with friends. Its always crowded and enjoyable. Good service and friendly.

We booked a table for dinner this afternoon, but on arrival was told that the booking wasn’t valid as the staff “only checked the morning” Each time we order food or drink the service was extremely unfriendly and rude For the food we ordered, the mains were nice but the small plates were very underwhelming and overpriced Overall it was a mediocre pub experience at best, with below average service and hit or miss food.

Beer was well kept. Very friendly staff. Watched a T20 match (Eng vs USA) whilst the girls sat comfortably out side on the pavement.

Good pub just off Oxford Street.

Very expensive - got charged £14.80 for a pint of Level Head and half a pint of orange juice and lemonade! I know it's London prices, but that's almost twice what I paid for a similar order in Covent Garden!

35 minutes for inedible fish finger sandwich and a steak sandwich with 6 tiny pieces of steak. They do not serve any coffee either.

Mahtu was great and the food was absolutely delicious. As an American visiting London for the first time, fish and chips was phenomenal! The nachos were amazing and the chips were very well seasoned - you’ve impressed some Texans!!!

We were here for the 2024 Champions League final and other BVB fans obviously had this idea. An exuberant and peaceful atmosphere as well as atmospheric singing sessions meant that we spent a few lovely hours here after Pub 1. The beer was always available at the bar, which was very good for us. There were enough of them too ;-). Sometimes there were glasses, sometimes plastic cups, which was absolutely fine given the mass of people. I can't say anything about the food here either, but the beer was reasonably priced for London standards. It was also nice and cold and it was great to drink beer in front of the pub, sitting or standing.

In this day and age I find it totally unacceptable that Scottish bank notes which are legal tender are not accepted in this establishment. Can someone give me a plausible explanation of why not.

Always a quick and welcoming service. A good atmosphere every time I come to visit after work. Would be nice to have more sitting outside as it gets very busy. However always managed to get a seat outside when wanted. Like to return back every time.

Paid a visit to this pub while in the area and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Mathu gives excellent service as well.

I was visiting last night this place with a group of friends. We had a great time, till one group of guys came in and they ruin all the atmosphere. They had a bottle of tequila, that clearly didn't bought it from this place. When the manager try to deal with the situation, she was insulted very badly. 5 stars and all the respect for the manager that she deal so calmly with them, I know that sometimes is very hard to work in the hospitality industry. We will definitely came back and recommend this place.

I recently visited The Pub with my friends (the evening of 21st of May 2024 – located upstairs), and our experience was nothing short of disappointing, primarily due to the mistreatment by the female manager. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The lady seemed disinterested and annoyed by our presence. Her attitude were consistently poor. She was rude, dismissive and extremely unprofessional.

Went for a Sunday roast with my friends this past Sunday. The food was perfect and the customer service was top notch.

The manager (21st May) was terrible. A few friends had come to have a drink after a meal locally and was immediately greeted with hostility. We tried to look past the first few interactions but left after we were told we couldn’t put a bottle of champagne gifted to our friend for his 30th birthday in our bag and was accused that we were trying to drink it whilst it was still in the box and with no cups (which clearly isn’t possible).

From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt very welcomed, The food and service I highly recommend it! The staff very friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a place who serve Sunday Roast, this place is a great one. Last Sunday me and my friends we went out for dinner and we find the right place, friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food was delicious. I really recommend this pub, it make you so welcome.

Not the best service, ordered a Sunday Roast which was definitely microwaved as it went cold within seconds, the carrots were wrinkly, the two pieces of so called “sirloin roast” were as small as if they came out of a spam tin, the meat was as dry as Sahara desert and the list goes on….never coming back here to eat again, mind you the Manager tried to make amends and gave us three free drinks, and that was much appreciated also

Great town centre pub. Duty manager is a top bloke with really good, caring, customer service skills. Always avoided going there in the past but visited today and glad I did.

Great pub close to the station. We enjoyed the service and the cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed a couple of drinks but will be back for food as it looked great

Wanted to have a fish and chips in a pub in London. First of all I was told by the waitress I had to find myself a free table and give the bar the number of the table to order. Once we got a table I went to order - was asked to pay beforehand - we had to wait almost an hour in the cold weather outside for our fish and chips to arrive!! So to sum up food is good but the service needs improvement

I visit this pub on my second visit to London with my wife. I had a nice meal and I spent a great time. The pub has tables outside and a second floor upstairs. Team was friendly and the atmosphere was spot on. I will be back when back to the city.

I've been coming to this pub from a while already, but lately i can see so much improvement in service and little details that makes it so much more amazing. Staff is very friendly and food is delicious. Big selection of cold beers. Love it.

What an experience ! Bartender Lucas poured me the best Guinness I've seen in a while, he's very knowledgeable about football. Would recommend anytime, prices are alright for the area but a great atmosphere

I had the most incredible experience when I visited this pub recently. The ambiance was so warm and welcoming, the staff went out of their way to be friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks were absolutely scrumptious. Honestly great pub but guy with curly hair who thinks is running the place should probably not be the one running the place. Very rude. We took our dog upstairs after asking the bar tender whether we can, and he came at us super rude to tell us that he’s not allowed up there and “he’s the one in charge”. Mood ruined, would have left if we hadn’t just bought our drinks. Probably won’t return, shame for how nice the pub is.

Purchased a drink however it came with a hair in it. The woman with a PIERCING on her nose or lip (wherever it was) was really rude and refused to change it and walked off. DO NOT come to this pub. Rude staff. Poor service. That girl should be more respectful.

Dropped in for a quick meal before a show. Food was good and we'll presented. We were a party of 6 so sat upstairs. Clean and standard was good.

Three of us booked a table here after a concert at Wigmore Hall for a Sunday Roast. It was a Sunday and we did eat a roast. My companions chose the roast beef, I chose the half a chicken and stuffing. My half a chicken must have been the bottom half, because I struggled to scrape much meat off the dry and scrawny carcass on my plate. I can't comment on the stuffing, as it never arrived. The roast beef as you can see from the pictures (apologies) was mainly fat or gristle. The carrots were nice. We only noticed the cauliflower cheese had any cheese halfway through. The food was lukewarm, the gravy was quite nice, there was no horseradish. Disappointed, we left and down the road we had dessert at Home Marylebone, and they did a Sunday roast for 1 pound more, but it looked much more appetising.

Came in on a Monday morning, a singular friendly and attentive bar man by the name of Francis holding the forte down by himself, he was brilliant, cracked a few jokes and I noticed he was by himself but was doing a great job, one man army.

A quality pub by Oxford street with the feel of a pub found in an English town (no offence, except the price, but as expected within the M25. So I’m not complaining just explaining with the relative audience and what to expect). I had a very pleasant time here.

Tutto ok tranne il prezzo, esagerato il costo del servizio(13 stelline) che non ho mai visto addebitato in altri pub e del bacon aggiunto (2,5 stelline ognuno)

We were very disappointed with this place. We went on a Sunday for the roasts and ordered the turkey (Christmas special) but everything about it was bad. The turkey was incredibly dry and rubbery, the veg was overcooked and soggy, and they clearly don't understand how to make a roast potato. It also came out luke warm, including the gravy. The only good thing was the single pig in blanket. I won't be returning and I suggest anyone in search of a good Sunday roast looks elsewhere.
