I had a flint eye pint while my infant was asleep and I had a pleasant time. The beer was good, staff is friendly, ambience is perfect British.

In this lovely pub fish and chips is very good, so delicate and tender, one of the best we have eaten in London during this vacation. Jessica is nice, brilliant and very kind. Highly reccommended.

Fantastic unassuming find. Was walking through Covent Gardens and was feeling peckish as I had missed lunch. Stepped into a really lovely size bar with a laid back atmosphere. Great range of drinks. Had fish and chips, decent size portion of fish with all the trimmings... Tasted wonderful! Knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming staff. Will return soon!

Called in for lunch as conveniently situated for where we were headed. Pub was almost empty. Ordered food which came reasonably quickly. My partner’s bbq chicken was underwhelming, and my steak and ale pie was just plain awful. Loads of pastry, but the inside was full of gravy with just two, yes two, tiny pieces of meat. A complete rip off. It’s not the fault of the pub or the staff because they have to serve what they are given/told by Greene King, but this food offering was more than disappointing. Sadly, this is place to avoid if you are looking for food.

Terrible food , poor quality and unfriendly staff. The description of food from the menu did not match what appeared in front of me I ordered: FRESH GARDEN SALAD SALMON & CHEDDAR FISHCAKES Dressed rocket with roasted spring onions, cucumber, new potato’s, pickled watermelon and fresh mint. .. the rocket was stale and wilted .. the rest was cold and tasteless!!! And I ordered Crispy Smashed Potatoes (Roasted and smashed new potatoes served with garlic aioli and topped with crispy Italian hard cheese) This was just cold new potatoes , hardly roasted /smashed and not much cheese!!! I asked if I could have smashed potatoes with my Salmon cheddar bakes instead of new potatoes .. they refused , so in the end I ordered both and I got the same… I definitely will not be going back or recommending to anyone !! The only good thing about this was I got to hang out with my best friends

Good beer selection, tasty fish and chips, good service but very noisy.

Mixed bag here. My friends burger was great but my small plates weren’t very good. The jerk chicken dumplings were dry and the crispy potatoes weren’t very crispy. The fish goujons were lovely however. My wife’s chicken had a great taste to it but came out warm rather than hot. They also have no kids menu despite there being one on the website. Also website needs updating because it says it opens at 11 and they didn’t open to 12. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My favourite local pub, since they became a theatre pub at the beginning of the year! As a Drury Lane resident, I was beyond excited when I found out the Stage Door Theatre venue opened in the room upstairs, just a few doors down the road. Affordable dinner theatre with west end production quality, and delicious cocktails. I also really appreciate they non-alcoholic range. It's provided a weekly get-together for me and my neighbours, all theatre buffs!

Great food, friendly service, great location! The Sunday roast was particularly delicious, as was the cheese and bacon burger.

It was average. Expensive for wine but it is London.

Came to this pub last night for drinks and to watch the footy. Service was excellent so we returned today for Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious and home made. Service from Jack was superb. Highly recommended.

The staff were extremely rude and refused to put the sound on for our sports game - we would not recommend watching sport here. Very disappointing.

A group of 5 of us (women) decided to go here for lunch before seeing a show at the Savoy theatre. Chose a Greene king pub because you know what you're getting. We walked in and found a table but before we had a chance to sit down a bouncer came rushing over to us asking us all for i.d. being in our mid 30s none of us tend to carry our I.D. He was satisfied asking our ages. We sat down and ordered food which was lovely and the service was excellent. We spent over an hour in the pub and the bouncer kept peering at our table through the window, still didn't understand why only we were asked for i.d before we'd even ordered any drinks. There were children in the pub aswell so obviously not an over 18 establishment. He didn't ask anyone else for i.d the whole time we were in there.

When my comics group decided to do a meet up in this spot I wasn't fan of the idea but for my suprise this pub is actually a great place. First thing I noticed is how attentive stuff is: glasses and bottles are being collected all the time, you can always see someone from pub on the floor. It's very clean as well, spacious place, which is not always a case in London. Visited Saturday afternoon, it wasn't extremaly busy since we managed to snag even 2 tables for our group. Again: that's a good thing since it's Central. And they had security already at the doors. Very good sight. My fish&chips was excellent, maybe not the biggest portion but liked it a lot. Crunchy, big chunky chips, tasty curry sauce - had it first time ever with chips - and good tartare too. Everyone seem to be happy and it wasn't very loud, managed to hear everything what was said. It's more like a laid back spot than busy London pub. Highly recommend.

My brother and I are traveling around Europe and stopped by on our way through London. Kasandra (our server) made our experience a very pleasant one.

Found as we were walking around earlier. Returned for something to eat later. Staff friendly, not sure of older man behind bar though who brought our cutlery. Was a bit miserable looking. Food was lovely.

We had a great experience here! Food is delicious. The bartender Alex is also very knowledgeable about drinks and gives great suggestions, a very friendly environment. Would definitely recommend!

£3.5 for about 15 chips. 5 staff at bar but had to wait for one particular person who was serving drinks. Not sure what the others were doing apart from congregating around a screen. Steak sandwich I ordered was not toasted and steak was very grisly. Could have and should have been better.

Decent spot on "walk" from Holborn to Covent Garden. Good selection of beers & wines, friendly staff (big shout out to the doorman who had to deal with some undesirables while we sat outside)

This was our favorite restaurant in London! Our server, Kassandra, made us feel so welcome and made wonderful food and drink suggestions. We loved the sticky chicken, calamari, nachos, burgers and beef & ale pie. The IPAs were ice cold too during the heat wave. We will miss Kassandra and the Prince of Wales!

Perfect spot for a pint after watching a show

Found this place on our way to the Covent Garden area after a morning at the British Museum. Friendly staff and pretty good food too, stopped by for lunch so the place was quiet.

The Prince of Wales pub is truly a gem! I've been here many times, and each visit has been fantastic. Special shout out to Gini and Jess, who are always super friendly and accommodating. Their warm and welcoming attitude makes every visit special. The atmosphere during the Euros was electric, and watching all the England games here was a great experience. Great service, excellent company, and a top-notch pub all around! Highly recommend!

We stopped by accident in this restaurant and was wonderful surprise! We order 5 different plates by the price of 27£ and taste 3 of the amount of beers they have. Particularly, we were attended by Jessica and Hannah who give us a phantastic service and were very nice. For us, Battered Halloumi was the best in the menu; second, Karage Sticky Chicken. Thank you!! Especially, Jessica, Hannah and the chef.

A great experience indeed! After a day of following round my missus in Covent Garden, we needed a real hearty meal, the Steak and Ale Pie was probably one of the best I've had in a while, my compliments to the chef, and then the table service was quick and efficient, the server Hannah was cheery and really added to the experience, a great visit indeed.

Visited here for a meal before our show at the Aldwych Theatre, and weren't disappointed. I was with my 80yr old father who suffers with poor mobility and impaired eyesight, but the staff were very accommodating and friendly, and patient with him....even when he walked towards the kitchen door instead of the fenta toilets! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank you to all the team.

Had a great time here!! Gini and her team were so attentive to me and my friends. We just stumbled upon this bustling pub and the customer service from beginning to end was amazing. Defo recommend for the area when it can be hard to find the perfect pub :)

Nice boozer which was clean and had plenty of atmosphere

I ordered the steak with chips. Chips were unsalted but alright tasting. Meat was overcooked and dry. I had the gravy with it and that was tasty and helped bring the moisture back. I ordered a drink that I usually get at American bars, and I've seen it at a couple spots nearby so I figured they knew it. They did not, but the bartender tried to make it anyway (it was not at all correct, but it's the sentiment that counts). The bartender was a sweet guy, and was patient and friendly. The lighting was nice and the atmosphere was cozy. There was a thief in the restaurant while I was there though. A shifty fellow, who kept circling tables and staring at people's coats and handbags. I think he got spooked because the manager or someone spotted him, but it was still a bit uncomfortable. I did see the same guy who spooked him, pull a lady aside and tell her to keep her bag closer. It was nice to see an establishment look out for its customers.

Monday nights at the Prince of Wales are great fun courtesy of Stage Door Theatre - they host the weekly Overtures Choir (singing showtunes) followed by piano bar karaoke where we sing even more showtunes! It's a very friendly and supportive crowd. If you like musicals, come on down and join the fun!

Spent two out of three evenings in London at Stage Door Theatre. Hard hitting theatre showcasing excellent acting and writing talent one night and then a heap of fun on a Monday doing singalong musical theatre after seeing a nearby show. Make a stop off part of your theatre trip to London.

Greene King IPA served oddly warm and flat.

Fantastic Off West End venue in the heart of West End

A lovely pub in the heart of Covent Garden - and there’s a pop up theatre upstairs!

The Whitby scampi was disappointing, the chunky chips saved the dish with the tartare sauce. The Cherry Bakewell cocktail was amazing. Staff were friendly but they don’t give you a number to put on your table or ask you where you are sitting meaning you have to watch for your food.

Terrific supper club theatre, food AND entertainment- all under one roof. London needs more spaces like this - intimate, well priced and so welcoming.

The stage door theatre is a must stop for any theatrical patrons. Whatever is on, you’ll enjoy the intimate performance and a bite to eat!

Visited the stage door theatre for dinner and a show and as always, great food and even better entertainment!
