I arrived and felt welcomed straight away. It’s been a while when a bar was this attentive and caring to customers from the get go. Food was delicious and drinks were severed to perfection. I even was allowed to try all sorts of ales since I never had one before. Over all phenomenal service! Big thanks to Hugo and his amazing team. 😊

We had a great evening drinking bottles of pinot noir. The staff were lovely and had reserved us a table in the back where we could enjoy ourselves without being in the midst of the busy bar, but were still only a few metres away from the busyness without it being on top of us.

I would have given 5 stars if one of the barmen wasn't so rude! My friends and I were asking a question about the booking, and he replied in such a rude way we were surprised, even though it was a simple question. On the other hand, another staff member was really generous when we wanted to return some drinks that we didn't like and gave us new drinks - and her recommendation was great. Overall lovely experience though, great atmosphere.

A very smart, light & airy pub in the heart of Fitzrovia. Really friendly staff, and a good selection of cask and keg beers. Really good music playlist too. Surprisingly quiet for an early Saturday afternoon but I’m sure it will have livened up later. Didn’t try the food but the menu looked good. Would definitely return.

I booked the private room for a retirement gathering for our company. the room was very intimate for the amount of people that attended, also as we had a few speeches it was only heard by the party members and kept this very private. The food was excellent had so many comments, was hot and fresh and came out exactly on time that was discussed due to a delay. Hugo accommodated all the needs even down to trying to find particular areas for banners that i provided to be displayed. I think improvement consists of maybe the decor seems a little tired and would be good first impressions along with the flooring to the room to be updated and a freshen up Also I think it would of been nice if we could of had a member of staff maybe serving the drinks and have access to all alcohol upstairs rather than going downstairs for specific drinks.

We came in for drinks on Thursday evening. The pub was charming and the service quick, despite being incredibly busy for such a small place. There was no outside seating but what seemed like hundreds of people enjoying after work drinks on the pavement. The staff will keep telling you to keep behind the barriers or their blue line if you step over it, but I suppose being a central London pub they must have to abide by what the council tells them, strange though as other pubs in busier places like Soho have people almost in the street and the staff don't seem to be pressured to enforce as strict rules. But it didn't dampen the evening and we stayed for a few hours enjoying the sun whilst in lasted. The beer selection was great, I was drinking a Deya beer recommended to me two of my friends said the Guinness was great. All in all a lovely little side street pub that we will be visiting regularly after work from now on!

Went into London, which I hate, for a reunion with school friends who in the main left in 1970. My colleagues sought a place which would suit us all coming from many parts of the country. Great choice! The proprietor was delightful and his bar staff remarkable. They did their jobs perfectly and left us to meet up with old colleagues. Simple menu but lovely and freshly cooked. Many thanks and hopefully we will return another year.

Really good service and atmosphere, during the extended bank holiday it was quiet and a nice place to chill and relax. The staff were all really friendly, the beer was great quality and the food was also delicious.

Met here for a casual drink with a, let’s say, new acquaintance, on a Tuesday and it was just perfect, the guys banter behind the bar really made me feel at ease, and provided some much provided support during any awkward silences… which fortunately due to the flowing Rosé was not too often. We were just seeing how it went, but when we saw some small plates heading out decided to have a few! We had the padrón peppers, calamari and some croquette things which were awesome. The food was lovely and much needed as I was starting to feel a bit tipsy! Overall, I would recommend Green Man and I’ll definitely be returning!

A truly great pub in the heart of central London. Great food and beers and the staff are top class. The bartender, Cam, made me feel right at home and provided first class hospitality. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

AVOID! FOOD POISONING! We had a party of 10 people who came to the establishment, within two days 9 of us had come down with violent stomach symptoms. The only person who wasn't sick hadn't eaten. One of my friends went to the pub to let them know so that the pub could prevent future guests becoming sick, and was met with hostility.

My friend and I visited this pub on Thursday. The music was excessively loud, and the service was poor. We ordered food, but unfortunately, we both suffered from food poisoning the following day. When we tried to address the issue, the manager reprimanded us instead. Overall, it was a disrespectful experience. I would recommend avoiding this pub, as there are plenty of nicer options in Fitzrovia.

Terrible experience at this pub! A group of colleagues and I visited recently and were unfortunate enough to suffer from food poisoning after dining there. Not only did the food make us sick, but when we brought it to the attention of the staff days later, we were met with nothing but rudeness and indifference. It's shocking that they would treat customers in such a dismissive manner, especially considering the severity of the situation. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to risk your health and be treated poorly! The person we spoke to then approached us outside as if he was going to do something! If the person who I spoke to is reading this, boy I wish you did something!

Upstairs Wildwood room was just perfect for a gathering of 30 - 50. Very friendly staff.

Friendliest bar staff in London, hands down.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had booked a table and as soon as we turned up they swiftly cleared the area and we felt very comfortable and well looked after. There were never empty glasses on the table for long as it was continuously being cleared. The drinks were great (so happy there’s a pub still serving Aspall). All in all a great visit and can’t wait to go back. Thanks!

Fabulous little boozer tucked off the beaten track. I didn’t catch the managers name but he seemingly runs a tight ship in which I was made very welcome. To top things off I had the best shamrock I’ve ever seen in my pint of Guinness.

Brilliant place to have a private event. Hugo made it easy to organise, he went out of his way to show private hire space on a day the pub was closed. They were able to accommodate a large food order which came out on time, well presented. Hugo and the team were super relaxed and helpful. Would highly recommend.

From 1st enquiry we received nothing but exceptional contact and service from Hugo and The Green Man team. The Wildwood Room was perfect for our party and everything was as we requested with particular checking on the day of our guest with special requirements. We were warmly welcomed and service was excellent. The party all thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food served and it was great to have the table service for drinks throughout.

We booked a fairly last minute function in the private room upstairs. Organised everything through Hugo; communication was really good and easy to organise. The day ran really well, drinks were ready and food came out on time and was really good and more than enough for everyone! Many Thanks to Hugo and the Team

Staff are rude and they charge £7.40 for a pint of hells. Highly don’t recommend.

A regular pub I visit, good service and nice layout. Can get very busy and due to wood everywhere can be very noisy (you kind of wish old wooden pubs could hang discreet noise baffles to deaden the echo). There is an upstairs when it's busy, but sometimes they don't open it which is annoying. Lovely little pub though and my favourite in the area.

We booked the Wildwood Room (upstairs, minimum spend) for a drinks party to mark the release day of our short film. It was a huge success and we couldn't be happier with how everything went! Hugo and the team were so kind and generous from the start, helping to get everything booked and prepared in advance, setting up for us on the day, and being very friendly and welcoming throughout. We wanted to put a slideshow up on the TV and to play our own music during the event - both were made possible without any problem. The food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced, especially for such a smart and central location in London. Overall it was an absolutely fantastic experience, and we are so grateful to the whole team there! As a group of young independent filmmakers on a tight budget, it was a huge blessing to be able to host an event like this in an affordable way, to celebrate the release of our film and catch up with lots of our friends. It was a really special day and will definitely be remembered for years to come! Thank you!!

Found this place while going for a walk during my lunch hour. Walked past it but went back and decided to go in. I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere was lovely and the bar staff were so lovely and friendly. I've been twice and only had glasses of wine and crisp, so the next time I go, i will be eating there.

Was a lot better when it was a cider pub. Now it's just another pub among many.

Seems like quite a nice pub, but I'd gone out of my way to check this place out after seeing it mentioned in several online articles (even recent articles) as having a particularly great cider selection. Apparently they "got rid of the ciders" so the one star review is for being a formerly good cider bar and now not that. at all. About the same selection as any other pub, which is to say not one offering of anything interesting or quality. Just sweet stuff. Cool looking place though and staff seemed nice.

A great pub, with very friendly staff who enjoyed a good laugh.

The staff were great, really helpful and looked after us as much as they could despite the pub being really busy! We had the upstairs room and it was all set up and ready to go when I arrived. Hugo had managed to squeeze in enough seats for us all to do a quiz, even with some last minute additions.

Hugo was absolutely remarkable he was very helpful and was 100% hands on.

It’s my second visit to this marvellous pub, strategically located, a mere five-minute-walk from Oxford Street, which gives you more privacy to have a drink and chat with friends also be in the mainstream of London. The staff is fantastic, very nice and helpful (especially attention here to Jose and Glen, who were beyond any expectations). There’s a great range of varied beer and the burger is delicious. Sure thing this pub will always be in my list of place to go whenever I’m in London. It’s well worth a visit! Thank you guys and see you next time.
