Went here for my friends birthday for bottomless brunch, 12 girls all making lots of noise and finishing our drinks quickly, and Gabriel our server was so kind and attentive! Writing this review just for him thankyou so much! :)

Food and and service appalling vibes ok but will not go again

The £25 set menu was good value but the portion sizes are pretty small. There’s a DJ and the music is so loud it’s impossible to hold a conversation so definitely one for the vibes not for a proper catch up!

You know its never a good sign when the hostess can't even be bothered to show you to your table! Especially as you're attending a private dinner and the venue are portraying themselves as "upmarket" Bland food that definitely isn't cooked authentically by a jamaican or even someone who knows what salt or seasoning is. How do you serve mango wings and a BBQ jerk chicken burger that tastes of nothing and take forever to come out.... Service was slow but the guy hosting our table was kind considering he had to deliver bad news. I was incredibly disappointed as i attended a private dinner and they changed the offer 3 times only to turn up on the night and be told that a majority of the food was not available. I just think this is the type of venue that has been hyped up on socials that was unfortunately a huge disappointment. If it wasn't for the birthday girl I would have left. Wouldn't return or recommend unless you don't have any expectations

The crispy squid and piña colada prawns are very tasty, the rice is a bit dry though. The £8 cocktails are alright, very weak. The more expensive cocktails are really good and fruity. It's a bit expensive, but you pay for the atmosphere and fancy cocktails. Overall it's a good place for an occasion or to hang out with friends.

Worst night in London. Had a reservation, waited an hour when we got there. Waited another hour and a half until drinks came.

Excellent vibe and atmosphere, celebrated my birthday here and the staff were gr8 at ensuring I enjoyed my time, music was great and the food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend the Jerk Salmon !

I have been twice now and will definitely be back! The food is INCREDIBLE and the drinks menu is ever changing and vast! Absolutely love this place... Service is always 10/10 and i love the decor. I always recommend this place to anyone who listens🙏🏼

Excellent service. All the food was good, but the Miso Aubergine stands out! super smoky and flavourful, highly recommend it! It was my birthday, and the staff made it really special with a little sparkler and shots. The cocktails are all really cool too, with a fun element of theatre at the table. Would come back again!

We came when it was a Thai menu and this time it was Caribbean. Both times smashed it out of the park. All the staff here are friendly & helpful. I recommend a reservation as they do get busy. The music, food & service make this place an absolute vibe.

Nice evening out lighting very dark for eating food average atmosphere and entertainment 10 out of 10

My wife booked us in for the rum making experience with dinner after for my birthday and we had such an amazing night. We arrived a little early so had a happy hour cocktail first - annoyingly did take a photo of the menu as these were on the specials page which isn’t on the website. Both were a complex blend of spirits and flavours but perfectly balanced. Mixes of mezcal, tequila, rum, whiskey and one with absinthe flambéed sugar cube. We then headed with drinks in hand upstairs for the masterclass-such a fun, crazy drink fuelled session with so much laughter. While learning about the history of rum you get a mojito, rum punch and a daiquiri, 6 samples of rum and then distill your own blend of spiced rum in your own baby pot still using their own homemade rum. So much fun tasting your distillation at full strength as it drips out the still. You then get to pour the watered down to a more sensible strength back into the 750ml rum bottle to take home. We then headed downstairs very happy to get a free shot before dinner. We had the set menu which included another cocktail and for some crazy reason we got a final cocktail before heading home very very happy. During dinner we got some burlesque fire dancing and later balloon popping entertainment which was great fun. Georgi Radev co-founder and legendary mixologist looked after us all night letting us have a cheeky taste of one of his top rums during dinner as well. He is a charismatic, passionate, fun loving comedian who absolutely loves his job. Food wise the pina colada prawns - OMG need a have this as a mains option in a barrel. The prawns were huge and the sauce I could drink it was so tasty. The chicken wings also were great. The jerk chicken main was so tasty even for my wife who normally hates jerk seasoning. The pulled beef with the £3 supplement though was disappointing. BUT the skinny fires soooo good with some cajan spice and not too salty. We got the set menu 50% off for £25 per person with starter, main and a cocktail included which was an amazing deal but if paying full price I would order al a carte and ignore the pulled beef. Will defiantly be back to work our way through the cocktail menu and cocktail masterclass.

The Caribbean is in Islington!! Great music all night long, the staff are incredible, service top notch. The food selection is epic, we actually shared different options as we "wanted everything". The margarita flavours were unique and expertly done, packed a punch too. Can't wait to go back 💛

A night to remember, the service was excellent , the food was amazing the drinks are strong lol and the vibe is on point! Love the decor in the restaurant. We went on a coupes cocktail making experience and it was really fun and engaging . 10000% will return , thank you guys!

I had been dealing with Katie one of the managers regarding our booking and her customer service is outstanding. She really went above and beyond. Thank you ever so much. I had this place saved to go for a very long time and, casually, my boyfriend took me here for lunch for my birthday. It's probably one of the best places we've been in London on a date, considering the experience, the food and the price. We had the set menu for £25, which includes a cocktail, a starter and a main (plus a couple extra sides and another cocktail each). I wasn't expecting much from the food for this price, but it was surprisingly good and ended up full. I wish there were more offers like this in other bars/restaurants in London. It got busier the later it got in the afternoon and the vibe is very nice. The atmosphere inside is really cool, from the decoration to the music, and very nice cocktails with fancy glasses. We had a good experience with the service too, very nice and attentive. I would recommend this place as a fun date spot or for drinks/food with a few friends. I will definitely go back!

Our visit to this bar was an absolute letdown from start to finish. We initially booked the rum tasting experience, expecting a well-curated session with expert guidance. Instead, what we got was a complete rip-off. For £40, we were given just seven small shots to share between two people and a basic information card—no bartender to walk us through the flavours, no insights, nothing. It was a self-service experience that felt lazy and uninspired. Having attended numerous whiskey tastings in the past, I know that a proper experience includes a knowledgeable host who brings the tasting to life. Here, they did the bare minimum while charging the maximum. To make matters worse, when we arrived, they initially tried to give us just one tasting session to share between all four of us, despite our separate bookings. It took a ridiculous amount of time and back-and-forth explanations before they finally acknowledged their mistake. Instead of apologizing, they made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Hoping to salvage the evening, we decided to order a round of cocktails—but that only added to our disappointment. Each glass was about 95% ice with barely any actual drink. We were genuinely shocked by how little alcohol was in the glass; it was shameful. After just one sip, we knew we wouldn’t be staying for another round. As a group of four who have been visiting cocktail bars for over 20 years, we’ve never come across such an overpriced and poorly executed experience. This place is clearly more focused on cutting corners and maximizing profit than delivering any real value. If you’re looking for a great night out with quality drinks and good service, avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere.

Lovely cocktail bar that also serves very nice food. Liked the atmoshere - music, interior. Also not extremely loud as some of these places are so you can actually have a conversation. Food was delicious, good selection of cocktails and everything we tried was great. Definitely coming back with a group of friend for a night out with their fiery shots and sharing cocktails

Been going to Laki Kane since it first opened and with time it just gets better like wine… this January they had an awesome deal when you sign up to their mailing list and it didn’t disappoint in any way- food amazing and drinks where flowing, perfect vibe to start the year off

First time visiting Laki Kane and the food is spot on. This will be my new favourite place in London. I visit there for my birthday, doing the bottomless brunch. I can't fault it. The service, atmosphere and vibe was great. The service was extremely fast. There was no waiting around for drinks. The drinks could of been stronger and less ice but that's just preference.

Gabriell and inigo the waiter was really friendly. Really good service The drinks was also coming on time and quickly too.

Gabriel and Inego was excellent. I can be quite challenging to serve as I have many dietary requirements. He made sure I was taken care of and constant check up on me and the other guests.

I went with some friends towards the closing. One of the few bars still open past midnight. Drinks were pretty good, had an espresso martini with a rum base instead of vodka, which turned out super yummy! Props to the bartender who recommended it. Good vibes and good drinks, would definitely come back here again. It definitely also seemed like a late night couple spot, which was cute.

I was looking for where to spend my evening and remembered this place and my awful experience so I finally decided to post my review. I obviously couldn’t at the time it happened, because I was too sick to, then got too busy and forgot about it. I will not be emailing you as I do not see any reason to. you can not reverse the damage that was done when you can’t even take accountability ! Actual review; Used to be my favourite restaurant. Not anymore. I went on a Monday evening with a friend and my order gave me major food poisoning. I wasn’t okay for three days after eating here. The food came extremely fast(I should have known this was a red flag as it means it was just reheated left overs). My friend is a picky eater and stopped eating after four to five bites (little did i know). The rice was all clumped together but I was hungry so just ate. I suffered this for decision. The other times I went and the food was ok were weekends. Just because you don’t have that many customers on weekdays or a Monday doesn’t give you the right to serve stale, infested food. We paid full price for that meal and should have been served freshly made food. Instead I got food poisoning literally the next morning. It’s best you just close on days you’re very quiet rather than give someone food poisoning.

I have a virgin experience day with this company for cocktails making classes as does a colleague of mine. Despite both of us attempting to book days there is never availability even if you try 6 - 8 weeks in advance. I had no luck last year so had to argue with virgin to extend the voucher after providing proof of my numerous attempts to book. Now this year it’s the same again. My colleague’s voucher actually expired. So it’s lost money. I honestly think this is a total scam I’m afraid. I will never give virgin experience or this bar any business in future Avoid at all costs

The food was disgusting especially the curry goat personally they should remove it from their menu asap! It had a strong burnt smell and tasted very very bitter. The sides were also nasty and weren’t worth the money spent. The lady that served us was very kind and helpful throughout our time.

Went for the rum tasting flight this evening which was a birthday gift from a friend. It was a lot of fun and the staff were very friendly. Was a good evening.

Very attractive Cocktail bar with unique cocktails. The cocktails are served in different glasses, which fits very well with the ambiance of the bar. The inside of the cocktail bar is completely decorated in a matching style according to the concept. I personally think the Laki Kane Cocktail is highly recommended. Definitely recommended for an evening of fun drinks!

We went here for our Christmas party this year and it was brilliant. The service was great, the staff were great. They catered for a large group like it was nothing! Thank you so much for the hospitality.

The food was disappointing. I ordered the shrimp sewers and the pulled beef with stacked plantain. The shrimp had a jerk paste that was not properly marinated and the pulled beef and so much mayo sauce over it. I think they should consider stop serving food by 9pm and focus on the bar, that way there would be more room to stand and dance

We always love going to Laki Kane, great music and delicious food & drinks. We did feel that the £10 cocktail menu wasn’t much of a deal as they were just smaller than the regular cocktails. Will deff be back!

I celebrated my friends birthday last night. What a fabulous evening!!! The menu has definitely changed for the better!!! Excellent service. This is the first time I have ordered a cocktail with such a punch 👊 Loved it!! We even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Colin Brown. What an amazing person. We took pics with him. Such a lovely man. Lol . I will definitely be returning and look forward to tasting some of the additional items that will be added to the menu in the near future such as fish dishes. Overall 10 out 10 .

Lovely bar and the staff are great. It used to have a good range of veggie/vegan food and great cocktails. But on our latest visit, both the food and the drinks had got smaller and the happy hour had very limited options. Not sure we'll return.

Last weekend, we had an incredible time at Laki Kane celebrating my cousin’s milestone 21st birthday. She had reserved the Tropical half-board drinks package, which was quite impressive—it included a total of 32 shots, two bottles of Prosecco, and two large sharing cocktails. Considering there were only four of us in the group, we were taken aback by the generous amount of alcohol provided. To top it off, since it was a birthday celebration, the staff surprised us with a complimentary round of shots, adding an extra touch of festivity to the evening. The atmosphere at Laki Kane was vibrant and lively, making it the perfect setting for our celebration. The DJ curated an amazing playlist that perfectly blended Afrobeat, Bashment, Hip-hop, and R&B, keeping us entertained and dancing all night long. The music really set the mood and brought everyone together on the dance floor. I also want to express my gratitude to the staff, who were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, making the night feel even more special and memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic night out filled with laughter, great music, and wonderful memories that we will cherish for a long time. Shout out to Georgie 🙂

I more than enjoyed my bottomless brunch! I had booked for my bestie on her birthday and as I had to change dates, forgot about the message I left. Our experience at Laki Kane was wonderful. It was my graduation, and the entire staff made the evening feel so special. They were warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant, and every detail added to the celebration.

I visited this bar/restaurant On Thursday for the first time, Having seen it on social media. I must say, I was slightly disappointed. The bar is a lot smaller than I expected from social media, the decoration and ambience and music was ok. The food, however, was extremely disappointing. We opted for the two starters for £19, The starters were extremely small, and the majority of starters were frozen/deep-fried options you might get at icelands. I ordered chicken satay and duck spring rolls. The chicken was better but tough and tiny portion. They aren’t skewers. The duck spring rolls were awful, four small, greasy rolls with hardly any filling. I only ate one. I do not feel like I got value for money nor did I enjoy or finish either of my starters. The drinks are sold separately, and for a midweek deal, I do not feel it was value for money. They advertise £10 cocktails on Thursday which still seems expensive considering the venue and location, we therefore opted for wine ordering the cheaper rose option which was £30 per bottle and tasted awful. The bar has potential, However, the food and prices Disappoint. Massively overpriced for awful food and expensive drinks.

We had tapas pre order and waited 1 hour, tapas arrived 3 out of 4 and we had to ask for the missing plate. The cocktails very very tasty.

We attended a complimentary dining night last night. Service was welcoming and cocktails were creative and tasty. Yes we waited a long time for the food but it’s a gamble when a place is trying out something completely new and not charging you for the experience. Staff did their best to keep smiling through what must have been a difficult service. The host came over to explain what had happened and was very apologetic. He won us over with his passion for bringing the Caribbean to London. When the food did come out it was delicious and I have to say that the vegan option, miso aubergine, felt like the winner for me. Have previously visited for the rum tasting experience which I’d also highly recommend. Book, you won’t regret it.

This is a great place if you’re just here for drinks. I wouldn’t recommend eating here, we booked a table for 9:30pm and waited for an hour and a half before any food came. In the end we ended up leaving and asking for our booking deposit back. I wouldn’t call this a restaurant, it’s very small, plays good music and serves good drinks but DONT order.

Great vibes and music, nice staff. Food is okay. The service felt a bit chaotic, we booked for 12 and they sat us down on a table that usually would fit 8-10. They divide a portion of food on multiple plates which causes a lot of confusion. Why not just have bigger plates to fit one portion of food? Also when I went to buy a drink at the bar they added a service charge. £15 + for a cocktail.

Cocktails were delicious and can recommend the sweetcorn cakes and penang curry! Really nice interior and vibe.

I went here over the weekend, it was my friends birthday and she booked a table. It was definitely a vibe with great music and fantastic drinks (reasonably priced!). The service was wonderful thanks to G! I'll definitely be back with my sister! I know she'll love it.

I remember when this place first opened it seemed overly hyped and I remember trying to get in with my husband and the door staff were very rude but after second attempt years later I made a booking for me and my friend and by our surprise everything was top notch! From door staff, the service, the vibes and the food. We had best time ever! We will be definitely coming back and telling all our friends who are yet to try it to go there.

We had a fire breather perform during our meal! Nice food. Bit of a walk from tube station. Not a quiete meal, fun atmosphere.

Amazing food cocktails and really good music !!! So fun

Sadly this bar was so disappointing. Don’t book the 8pm Saturday slot. From the moment we sat down we were pressured and harassed to order as much food and drink as possible, then pressured to leave when we were still finishing up. So sad this bar used to be lovely, good music and food etc but it’s become a money making machine to rinse clients now. Won’t be coming back.

We were 7 people to celebrate for the Brithday. It was great experience. The staff were good and food were good too. You can visit someday if it's for some occasions.

We held a 50th surprise party here it was excellent great atmosphere and the customers service was fantastic!

Laki Kane and the team were outstanding, helped plan my 34th bday dinner for 12 people. Shout out to Tina And Harriet and the other staff who were also extremely helpful throughout the night!! We had spectacular service, smiles and accommodation where it was almost impossible for a last minute booking but they really came through. Been here for drinks on two separate occasions prior so thought I’d plan the bday there.. I’d go back again and all my friends have said the same. Can’t say much more.

We went to Laki Lane to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. Due to our late booking, we were told we could only get an outside table which we accepted. Upon booking over the phone and on arrival we were thanked for booking, and told we'd be getting something complimentary for choosing to celebrate at Laki lane. In future its better not to get ones hopes up as we never got anything. Not the end of the world. Down to the most important bits. The staff were very friendly and very attentive at first. We got our 1st drinks in hand really fast! Tasty and really nicely presented. We were able to choose and order food without any issues. When it came to ordering second drinks, again it was really efficient. Ordering the bill however was a bit of a faff as the staff got busy inside and wern't very attentive to the outside tables. Food was really tasty, albeit the portion sizes left something to be desired. The best ambience was by far inside which we missed out on, but this was down to us as we accepted an outside table. Next time we will definitely book inside as the entertainment is really good, which we saw afar. If the portion sizes are enlarged, then it would be almost perfect! Also, try not to make promises to guests which won't be fulfilled. All in all, definitely worth visiting, just have a bit of patience at busy times and expect cocktails to be a tad pricier than most other venues. However, the cocktails are tasty and definitely an experience in itself.

Came here to host a cultural event with six ladies we had the bottomless brunch . The service was impressive and the speed was fast and the staff we super friendly. Cons: we got move twice, you only get allocated a two hour slot. Drinks are small and full and ice. ( two slips and your done.)

This place is a little gem. My husband took me to this place for my birthday and I must say it was definitely my type of ambiance. I went on a Sunday, so they had music playing, just not a Live DJ (on Fridays + Saturdays only) and no fire dancers. I was greeted with "bubbly" and we had the Bottomless offer (which was well worth it). The only thing I would say is about the service. Although we had a reservation, we were seated and no one came to our table for at least 10 mins. My husband had to get up and find someone to come to our table. Secondly, we were seated by the open window facing the street. Although this is a nice view, we were constantly interrupted by "passer-bys" sitting down at the tables that were adjacent to our high top table and smoking incessantly. There was 1 occurrence where an entire family sat down with their 2 dogs; another instance was a group of friends who sat down to smoke weed, then another group (who appeared to be staff) sat down to smoke their cigarettes. If the window was not open air, it would have been fine. Furthermore, if the people who sat at those tables were actually patrons and ordered food it would be ok; however, it seemed like the chairs were set for whomever wanted to sit and enjoy the view. I would recommend that the establishment set parameters/restrictions for outside seating to be held only for people who are frequenting the restaurant, not pedestrians. Secondly, maybe limiting the areas where people can smoke as it was very disturbing and quite irritating to sit and enjoy my meal with constant cigarette smoke blowing in my face. Secondhand smoke does KILL too! Nevertheless, I will definitely be back on a Friday or Saturday to check out the vibes on those days. Food and drinks were amazing. Laki Kane hosted our Bulk summer party which, not only is a mega venue, but excellently executed. We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish! Thank you for your awesome organisation and communication, extra touches (i.e. rebranding the cocktails list), the waiting team, and connecting us with an incredible performer. Wish we could do it all over again!

A nice interior but service was poor and quite a cramped venue for the type of restaurant and bar it is. It was our first time here and I heard a lot of mixed reviews but mainly good so I thought it would be good to try It for my friends birthday. Sadly half of my party was late and we had the waitress come back on regular basis to check and remind us that they had another booking. Once the rest of the group arrived we all already knew what we wanted because the urgency of ordering quickly was shared across to the group. However after having the waitress constantly remind us that we don’t have much time left when we were ready to order she was no where to be seen. It was maybe another 10-15mins before she came take our order, I thought it was quite surprising that she would constantly check up on the guys sitting next to us her frequently who were giving her free drinks. We didn’t understand how the portions worked as no one explained and we had to search for our server again when the food arrived as we thought this was the wrong order but she then told us that another board was come etc. A lot of the staff looked like they didn’t want to be there and the only waitress that actually took good care of us was Holly (thank you girl) We were told we weren’t able to order even having 30mins left of our booking. They gave us the bill and it took another 10mins for someone to come and take our payment. If you’re rushing a booking and constantly reminding guests about getting the table back there needs to be an effective way to get payment and assist the guests to the exit. If you’re gonna drink on the job please ensure that you have staff that can handle working and being intoxicated.

I blinked and the bill was already over £100! We did have multiple well-made cocktails and a sharing platter of a decent high standard so the price was justified in my opinion, especially given the stylish ambience, good music and intricately detailed decor. Great for birthdays and special occasions but probably not sustainable as a weekly hang out spot.

Hollie and Dee were the most amazing hosts. So gracious and warm, the love was very much felt from the birthday girl. Thank you for making our evening so special. U deserve a raise!!!!!!

Food was really nice, tasty and yummy Staff waz so accommodating, they agreed to change us our table to a less noisy place as we requested it when realized that the music was too loud.the waiter waz so nice and polite

Had the bottomless brunch between 2 of us. Food was excellent with good choice of cocktails, wine, prosecco and beers. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Went for the rum making class and ate afterwards, had a blast. Good atmosphere, good food, not crazy expensive, enjoyed it
