Lakeside Chinese Takeaway in Aylesbury Vale

Ridiculously overpriced and food was inedible! I made an order online - said it would be 40-50 minutes. Within 5 mins food had arrived. Food wasn't hot and part of the order was missing. Thought I would try them instead of our usual place but after chucking most of the food in the bin I will never order from here again. I DO NOT recommend!

Honestly the best Chinese in Aylesbury in my opinion. I changed to this one about a year ago and each order I have placed is a 10/10 Definitely recommend A tad pricier then my last Chinese but in my opinion it is worth every penny :)

A couple of days ago, I ordered food from a website and quickly went to the shop just 2 minutes later. Within 5 minutes, I received my order. My family, friends are noodles with chicken and lamb when I got home. Unfortunately, just 2 hours later, everyone experienced an upset stomach and diarrhea. It's concerning to think that the chicken and lamb may not have been properly prepared or were possibly reheated from leftovers. Based on this experience, I can confidently say that I will not be ordering from them again, nor will I recommend their food to anyone.

First delivery from Lakeside today, used the website, website was easy to use, emailed with expected delivery time, delivery was great and most importantly very very nice food. 100% will order from here again 🤩

The chips and chicken where dry and hard, too much bbq sauce in the pork. I did not enjoy the meal

I did not receive part of my order and I called twice and was told they will come back to me and never did. The person I spoke to the second time I called insisted they had sent part of the order and this really upset me as I ended up cooking as we could not eat part of the order without the rice they didn’t include . I was very disappointed by this and didn’t feel it was worth fitting for. I hope they don’t do this to other customers and that it will not happen again to me.

Distinctly average. Threw half of my Meal for one dish away. Not recommended.

We received the order after 2 hours that we placed the order. Food was ok. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy. We had to eat something else before food arrived. Because we were so hungry and couldn’t wait. Feel like we wasted our time and money for nothing.

Food arrived over 45mins late, was cold and might aswell not have bothered delivering it. Very very disappointed

order was very late and stated food was delivered and we couldn't get hold of restaurant. food was delivered after I submitted food was not delivered. issue is now resolved, refund no longer required . thank you

Very poor service my order arrived 40 mins late, cold and greasy. I asked for a partial refund due to not fulfilling my expectations and they said no. Order else where not customer satisfaction what so ever.

Excellent food, really fast and hot. Portions are massive. Chicken balls and chow main were excellent.

The food was 'okay' but I've had better Chinese from much cheaper competitors in the area. The rice used in the egg-fried rice was especially disappointing. It seemed to be missing that decent MSG+onion kick that I've had from other takeouts.

asked for a receipt for my order, didn't get one and your delivery driver gave my order to a random person in the pub, when I contacted him asking for a receipt he said I didn't put it on the notes on my order which I clearly did in capital letters because its not the first time this has happened.

After recently ordering beef with vegetables and rice, I will never set foot there again. The beef is old, bad and rubbery. Disgusting. £9.50 ended up in the bin.

Ordered food via Uber eats specifically requested for no beansprout but surprise both noodles dishes had beansprout in it. I called the takeaway to replace it without beansprout which they agreed to it and 60 minutes has passed now and replacement still isn't here. This is the last time I'm ordering from LAKESIDE CHINESE TAKEAWAY. Replacement never arrived and when called Takeaway was told I would have to pay. Lady on the phone has absolutely no what she is doing does not have any manners whatsoever.

Reliable Chinese fare but would be good if they had a add tip/ delivery charge option on their website.

I went to place a order for my usual meal for 3 people and the price was £44.95 but my usual Chinese I use is king do and the price is £29.40 for the same exact meal

I have used this Chinese numerous times. I really enjoy the food but the app is diabolical (so barely any orders go through the app). The app registered my food as a collection order but I ordered delivery. I got kicked out during the order and had to place it 3 times. I called to find out where the food was and was met by a pleasant girl who explained the issue and I tried to pay for delivery. I gave card details and said I was disappointed in the app which is always quite painful. She said ‘let me speak to the owner’ next thing I get is a ton of abuse from an old lady!!!! She rose me to anger with her lack of customer service!!! I had just tried to pay for their app’s mistake!! Then I got another owner call back when I said I would refuse the payment through the bank. At the end of the day, a mistake happened. I gave card details to pay for their app’s mistake and got abuse!! It is what it is. Good luck if you suffer app problems, because they have no customer service skills when things go wrong and won’t let you speak to explain the problem. I will never use them again after this experience.

Squid was overdone (very tough). Chips were covered in seasoning despite asking for them plain. Chow mein was quite bland.

Me and my girlfriend recently moved walking distance from this plaza, despite mixed reviews we thought we'd try the Chinese takeaway as Chinese is our favourite, we couldn't be more pleased with the food and service, we ordered for pick up, it was quick to be ready and the lady behind the counter was very quick and helpful, and added bonus is the 2 cute parrots inside. Food was perfect and we had a well needed feast to break up the unpacking session we were having!

Absolutely shocking, lucky to even be getting 1 star The duck was dry and had loads of little bits of small bone in. The chicken satay was just.. chicken no satay the sauce was more like a vile hot chilly sauce. The egg fried rice was burnt and extremely over cooked. And for my partners noodles well she had one mouthful and couldn't eat any more. 🤢

I ordered a spicy bag. The chips were soggy didn't get it in a bag got it in a box. Curry was OK. The egg fried rice was greasy chicken was nice too

Rice and Noodles were cold and hard, unedible. Prawns were bland, didn't want to risk it going by the rest of the food... Chicken Balls were pouring in oil. Think I'll give it a miss next time.

Terrible experience do not use this chinese takeaway Most expensive Chinese in Bucks - £36 for 4 dishes, wanted to charge me extra for chilli in a dish, then wanted to charge me £2.50 for prawn crackers (only chinese to do so on an order over £25/30) Picked food up and whole room was smoking/coughing Will not return here

Always a great option for a Chinese, I highly recommend the spicy bag (aka. salt and pepper chicken and chips in a box with chillis) the shop away from the kitchen has parrots which are super friendly and talkative. The staff are always polite and helpful and food is ready very quickly and always tastes fresh.

The food was old, burnt, and tasteless. I couldn't eat it. I do not recommend this place.

Waited over an hour, for it to be cancelled at the latest delivery estimate! We were trying for the first time, not sure we'll bother trying again. No contact from either uber or the restaurant, had my phone on me at all times. I won't be made out a liar as you have many of your other customers. If the driver had knocked for 20 minutes we would definitely have heard it, we were waiting near the front door.

ALL Prawn crackers were totally stale Chicken was tough and difficult to chew Chips cold & tough to chew also. The only good thing was the garlic Broccoli!

I’ve tried a few other takeaways with similar menu and Lakeside has always been on top with taste, price, quality and quantity. I keep going back to them because the others just fall short. As the song goes, Simply the best, better than all the rest!

Food was warm although some was over cooked and over battered also not enough bbq sauce flavouring.

Lakeside is the only Chinese I will go to in Aylesbury, I have never ever had a bad meal from here, the food comes quickly and fresh, great portion size and always gets finished. I ordered tonight (New Years eve) it said it would take 1.5 hrs but arrived in 45mins. Food was piping. I will recommend lakeside to everyone
