Lovely food, friendly staff and fantastic views! Everything was beautiful! The staff were very kind and helpful in accommodating my awkward food habits! Definitely recommend anything on the breakfast menu (especially the £6 sandwich and drink deal). We visited twice and tried the scones the second time. Very tasty!

Lovely setting , very dog friendly , does get really busy especially at weekend and during the summer due to the water park activities and the holiday park . We live locally so avoid the peak summer months . There is an small inside dining room you can take dogs plus an outdoor marquee . They sell some amazing cakes and I love their cherry flapjacks . Service is always good and food is freshly cooked . Breakfasts are popular as is the fish and chips on a Friday . I love the salads too . It’s lovely to have a walk round the lake too whilst you’re there .

We visit regularly and went especially for the Friday fish & chips but we’re disappointed to find the chips overcooked and hard ( think they might have been cooked before ) & the batter was very thick and greasy , hence the low stars However on previous visits the scampi and chips have been great , & my grandson loved the chicken burger he had on a previous visit so we will go again

Have been going to Allerthorpe for many years. It’s always been a great experience, lovely place, great activities and have always enjoyed a nice coffee and cake whilst there, today the lady with brown hair in the cafe was so rude and abrupt - half way through being served my friend and I actually looked at each other in disbelief at how rude she was being!

The service was slow and we received what was probably the worst scone I’ve had in my life…. The scone was flat, doughy and totally unrecognisable as a scone, what really disappointed me was that the cafe was happy to serve this sadly lacking object… we did complain and received a replacement after a somewhat puzzled look… oh and the Panini, we’d lost the will to live by this point, all I’d say is people please don’t waste your money…… we won’t be revisiting

A fabulous place, very friendly and with a great cafe. We come regularly and are never disappointed. Great for a visit whatever the weather.

We went for the day here at Allerthorpe Lake We took a picnic but I got 2 hot chocolates as the girls were very cold playing in the lake. The hot chocolates were very nice. £2.50 each though.

Escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy some great refreshment next to the lake. Plenty of peace and quiet during the winter months but busy during school holidays. Pot of tea for one £1.85 includes hot water refill. Family friendly. Recommended.

Since this place has had a new manager it's been awesome. The service is amazing now. Can't fault it. It always seems clean now. The manager is super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If there is anything wrong with your order then just tell him and he'll sort it.

Visited 7th November. We were served by Lexy and Mary. Can I just say it was such a nice visit. They both had a big smile and were pleasant, positive and very well organised. The service and food were absolutely perfect thank you.

Always huge queues at the bar. Always short staffed. And it’s always quicker to brew your own beer than to order from the app. Worst spoons I’ve ever been to.

Stopped here forca quick drink while out in the town. Love a mocha from here and husband loves the Americano with milk. Nice shop, usually very clean but was very busy so tables were not being cleared as quick as usual. We ended up clearing our own! Staff friendly and polite and drinks good value for money.
