Tables not cleared, peas cold and hard. Tea for 2 ...2 mugs with hot water and a tea bag plonked in. After 10 mins asked for tables to be cleared not one uncleared table.when we walked in. Not very inspiring menu. No tip this time.

Second visit today, arrived early, but welcomed by Dee and parents. Latte and breakfast bap/eggs on toast, all very tasty and gorgeous looking cakes (including vegan options). Will definitely return for a carvery (either Wednesday or Sunday) & highly recommend for the lovely food, friendly atmosphere, lovely owners, staff and amazing lake views.

Visited for lunch today. Food was amazing . Nachos were fantastic, large portions and beautifully presented. Tasted amazing .!! Staff very pleasant and even the dog got a treat !! Will definitely return

I visited with friends and disappointed it was just a buffet and no menu. The food was not very hot. The pizza was so hard. I had a coffee which was ok. The caramel shortbread was good. Unfortunately I would not return.

We have been using this restaurant for about a year now (if not longer) and we have always found the food to be excellent always fresh and freshly cooked. Staff are also very friendly which I must say goes a long way with me I don't like going to places that are stand offish. Just a few minuets friendly chat even if they are busy is really nice. We have been again today and they have some new milk shakes which I just had to try one flavour down plenty more to try cant wait It was wonderful. Its lovely to go there in the summer as plenty of outside seating and lovely lake either side of the restaurant sometimes with jet skiing.

We always have excellent friendly service here, with lovely food and plenty of it! Beautiful setting, often with entertainment courtesy of the water skiing alongside.

This was our first visit for a Sunday carvery and we was not disappointed, the meat was succulent, and the vegetable cooked to perfection, the starter “prawn cocktail” was bigger than expected, and pushed all the right buttons for me, didn’t think we would have room for a sweet, but the temptation was too strong, for me it was bread pudding and custard (loads if it) and when I see my partners apple crumble, I instantly thought she won’t eat all that, she did, my biggest surprise was that my partner, who the fussiest eater on earth, polished the lot off, which says everything to me about the quality of the food at this restaurant.

So pleased that they now have a carvery. We have visited for Christmas and Easter events and have always had good food and service. The carvery was great, plenty of choice and lovely homemade yorkshires. Nice to see an option for extra Yorkshire, stuffing and pigs in blankets. Looking forward to coming back. Donna and family always make us feel very welcome, and it’s such a relaxing place to go with the lakes surrounding it, and water-skiers for entertainment. Highly recommended.

Had the most amazing meal, along with great service and warm hospitality, today. Six of our family visited and enjoyed two sizes of carvery, with four choices of meat, and loads of veg. The pigs in blankets, were to die for and the whole experience was amazing. Extremely well priced, with a great waterside setting. It is now our favourite restaurant.

Very disappointing visit. Waited an age. After 25 mins told Diet Coke machine not working. Victoria sponge cake( £5) now half size and stale. Ham and cheese panini came with bacon not ham, cold sliced cheese.. what happened to the idea of toasting it to melt the cheese and how can they run out of ham!? Complained, offered a refund in the cake, waited 20 mins plus and it didn’t come. Left in disgust

We came to this little cafe when it first opened and were very impressed since then we have started to become disappointed and but we wanted to re try. However we won’t be returning my husband ordered his food which was a panni might I add there was far to much for a lunch meal there was far to much tuna inside, the panini itself was hardly warm and hardly toasted. I had the dirty fries which again was a portion to serve about 4 people.. pervious to this visit we had visited for breakfast and had to wait over 2 hours for our meal even though if was barely busy.. no refund offered on another occasion I came with my mother in law which again our food was cold.. At our first visit you could tell the food was freshly made and we really did enjoy however the food you can tell is either frozen or ready made meal which to me is disappointing I won’t be recommending this place to anyone such a shame as it’s a beautiful location and some of the staff are nothing but nice.

Table not reserved though booked. Staff were helpful but dizzy. Told to sit anywhere then another staff member passed comments loud enough for all to hear that the table we chose was always saved for the regulars who had arrived after us. She passed the comments more than once but never to us. Not what I expect from waiting staff. The food was completely from tin or freezer, the soup gelatinous and cold in parts due to poor use of a microwave. The bread for the sandwiches was dry on the outside, so made earlier and not wrapped. The glasses of water never arrived. We will not return.

This was my second visit and I opted for the steak and ale pie whilst my dad had his usual beef Sunday roast which were both thoroughly enjoyed. My pie was full of meat and the mash was really nice. With 2 lemonades this totalled about £22. For me it's the staff who are the highlight there.....extremely helpful and very chatty too. The views are nice from the cafe and there is an ample sized car park. Visited 21st November 2021.

We have just been to this lovely cafe/restaurant for lunch. Greeted by lovely staff as soon as we got there and seated the food was lovely, very well presented and a good potion. Can't wait to return for the breakfast with santa bear.
