Super place for lunch served by Kelly And Lucy loverly ladies. Merry Christmas. Really nicely decorated for Christmas. We'll done.

Waiting 10 minutes for the host to find you a seat is going to lose you a lot of business. It was the same last week. If you insist on walking people to a table then do it quickly and have plenty of people available to take the next person in line to a table. Don't use the Covid situation as an excuse to have queues out of the door. There were tables a plenty inside and out. You don't escort guests away from their table, to the toilet or off the premises, so get a better system. I waited patiently last week but even then when using the App i couldn't order the Ale I wanted and had to wait to be served. This week after 10 minutes I went away. Pathetic. This is nothing to do with Covid its simply poor management and staff with no urgency to get customers seated.

There is a strict track and trace in place and social distancing is observed very well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food wasn't very nice though and out of a party of 5 only one dish was acceptable. Delays in drink order too. We had almost finished our meals before drink order came.

Do not recomend to visit place. Poor atmosphere . No music outside. Now a little bit more clean. One day you can come and have a drink other day asking for reservation even if it is empty and do not let purchase even coffee take away..sorry but it is not 5 stars restaurant to book a reservation for take away drink. In general i will not go back. Doesn't worth. I wish it would be other place for eating which would be more friendly for customers. Do not recomend

We came for a meal on Christmas day and I can say the meal was excellent the staff were really lovely and could not of done more for us. Would recomend the Lakeside to any one.

Evening meal, ordered baked Camembert and was told they had none, server came back and said the chef had 'found' some. Was delivered served with 2 crusts of bread and no roasted peppers we called another server to mention it. His reply was 'I'm new here i'll go and check the menu ( not nice being practically called a liar). Nothing appeared and we mentioned it to yet another server, her response was 'Oh'. Our main was Fajitas. After our started was cleared we were informed there was no salsa and advised to reselect, another long wait ! We chose the curry banquet for our new main, for this I just don't have words ! and delivered without mango chutney also mentioned, but again nothing appeared. Staff don't know their ar.. from their elbow. Lastly, we were trapped for breakfast, pre-paid, Coffee terrible and only just warm, crumpets are microwaved in the kitchen, disgusting. The rest was nondescript. I will never go in there again and as we were on a rekkie for a main meeting venue for a major company they have lost out on a very large amount of winter business. No apology from anyone and no discount for food not delivered and not even offered a complimentary desert or coffee. We sat listening to complaint after complaint.

Took my family there, went to order a meal but left without ordering as all we could hear was complaint after complaint. When we mentioned this to a staff member, her reply was “I don’t blame you as I would not eat here either”. The toilets have an awful smell, filthy and baby changing area is the same (absolutely disgusting). This place needs shutting down or someone to take over who cares about customers. I would not recommend anyone going there.

I can’t even describe .... was dreadful!! Roast pork was tasteless, roast potatoes no taste roasted vegetables-none few carrots very hard and all tasted the same, of nothing..waiting time 1.15 h never again .

Great location over looking Willan Lake. Food reasonable no table service have to queue staff often slow and do not always serve the next customer.

First time being here in about a year decor lovely, shame about the service we ordered drinks which was fine, glasses handled awfully please hold the glass further down and not at the top where I need to drink from.That aside we looked at the food menu and placed our order at the bar, while waiting for food I’m assuming the women was the manager she was very rude and abrupt to a French visitor not the French ladies fault she had good spoken English but was clearly misunderstood.My meal was fine although my husband ordered burger and fries which we asked for no salad it came with salad, fries where covered in some kind of chilli seasoning which was not noted on the menu it did not say seasoned you would assume you would be given a choice.When the food came I was just about to ask for a knife and fork & the girl said you can get cutlery from the bar or a table outside, my visions not bad all other tables where laid out.Overall I found the pub lovely in decor the location by the lake beautiful wish I could be more positive about the staff but I was disappointed..... maybe another year before we return

Visited this pub early Sunday morning on a lovely summers day so ate outside. The staff were very poorly trained and ill informed as to shortage of food options available. Ordered all day breakfasts at 11am but told by waiter that they had no breakfasts available. Manager then said she could do our order for breakfasts and then would take option away as they were short of food!!!! Waited nearly 50 mins for order to come out and then when I challenged the manageress (ANN) she said that we couldn't have our breakfast after all as it had been given to another family. Agreed an alternative order which was very poor quality and value for money. She was exceptionally rude when challenged. Management don't give a damn about paying customers - treating them with contempt when complaining. I would NEVER go back to this establishment and would not recommend to anyone. STAY WELL CLEAR!!!! should be closed down.

Dreadful food, Yorkshire pudding you could build a house with, roast potatoes few and dehydrated along with the carrots. To add insult to injury had to wait 1.5 hours to get this. When we complained the general manager couldn't even be bothered to speak to us, sent someone else instead.

Lovely location right on the edge of the lake. There were tables outside but it was not a very warm day, so we ate inside at a window table.Just recently re-opened after changing hands and fully re-fitted to a high standard it was warm,clean and comfortable and our waiter was extremely welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately the food was a let down. Pub grub at it's most mediocre.
