Ladygate Tandoori in East Riding of Yorkshire

A very good and I go there regularly. The atmosphere is very welcoming but it's a takeaway and therefore one can't expect a high class Indian restaurant atmosphere. Very good food as well 🤩👍👍👍👍👍🤩

Awful, ordered chicken tikka kabab no coriander, got very soggy normal chicken kebab covered in coriander, pitta bread so wet couldn’t even pick it up , horrible + ordered a coke not even with the delivery… not used them for years but the star rating was good so gave them another go, not again.

Food was nice and order was correct. Drivers was lovely and clearly had a lot of flak from other disgruntled customers. 3 hours from ordering to delivery. Ruined our sat night plans. THEY NEED MORE DRIVERS!!

A truly abysmal takeaway. Two curries, both incredibly bland. Sag paneer that didn't contain paneer, instead some kind of mozzarella mixed with wilted spinach (paneer does not melt and stretch like whatever cheese this was). Greasy, tough naan bread. Rice overcooked and flavourless. I was concerned when our food arrived no more than 15 minutes after we placed the order. What arrived was lukewarm and subpar. I am confident in saying this was the worst takeaway I have ever received. I will unsurprisingly not be ordering again

Food not good,won’t be ordering again. Been ordering over 20 years with and food not good now! Devastated that’s chips undercooked and no salad,omelettes not like used to be. I would like a full refund and not order anymore,very disappointed

I’m not from round here so u know this is a real review, first of the mixed kebab. There was so much grease I could off filled a litre water bottle and drank that for the rest of the day, second the garlic bread was so hard I nearly chipped my teeth biting into it. Chicken pakora was ok but like 0 chicken in it. The special rice had nothing special about it. Poppadoms were the best but about this takeaway and they have absolutely 0 taste to it. I’d suggest calling this place lady grease tandoori

Over charged me by 8 pound and missing doner. Wasn't busy at the time can only presume deliberately overcharged me.

Chips were cold and soggy - not fresh - curry however was superb.

Absolutely brilliant. Well done.

Went in tonight for chips and garlic. Non English guy saw the missus was drunk and the price went from £2.70 to £5 . Never again will we return!!

Delivery was rapid although I believe if more time was taken, a vegetable biryani would have been delivered rather than a chicken biryani. Everything else was lovely.

Brilliant service, polite and patient when ordering and helpful when you need advice of food, the food turned up hot and cooked to perfection, very nice, highly recommend.

The food is incredibly poor quality, they got the order wrong then accused us of lying. STEER CLEAR! Garbage, please steer clear.

Both curries were on their side in the carrier bag and some had leaked inside making a mess when trying to dish up. The quality of the food was good just the state it was delivered in wasn't.

I ordered 1x chicken biryani 1x chicken korma and 2x naan and guess what I got 2x vegetable curry 2 uncooked naan and pulao wasted my money worse food ever!

Awful meat like plastic and small last time I went got a burnt pizza definitely at a no no won’t use again worst in Beverly or maybe stick with Indian food

Burger was stone cold and the bun was like a wet flannel ,curry was nearly warm …. Have ordered from this place a few times and this is by far the worst it has been

ordered 3 different types of chicken. all the chicken was the same... like generic flavoured chicken just with different sauces... pretty disappointing. not sure how it was basically cold by the time it got here too. wouldn't order again.

I had friends over we ordered takeaway when it arrived the delivery man gave us 1/2 of our order we had to ask for the other he said oh yeah there's some more in the car The curries my friends ordered looked nice and appeared hot but the pizza we ordered was the worst it was supposed to be crispy it was mushy and soft the whole pizza was cold the pepperoni was thick and raw it was inedible . We definitely wouldn't ordered pizza here again

If 0 was an option it would be that. 2 hour wait for the food, when we rang up the person said the delivery driver was pressing our buzzer and tried ringing us, the owner said the driver has photos and videos of the buzzer not working. After the RUDE customer service he agreed to bring our COLD food back, and I showed the driver the buzzer working which clearly buzzed, walked off knowing full well he had no videos and that he’s a old liar. The other reviews on this page says it all😁😁

Currys was very nice as where the pizzas, however the chicken burger bun was over cooked

The peshwari rice was so salty that most of it went in the bin, what I did eat was probably responsible for a stomach upset.

Me and my partner have been using this takeaway regularly for 20 years, tonight however was absolutely awful in both quality and consistency. Re-used chips and significantly sub-par food compared to what we're used to from this place. Sadly, this will be our last order. For the sake of transparency, they did send us some chips that were freshly cooked, but the seed was already sown in terms of quality.

The chips were cold. The tikka sauce was cold and tasted nothing like tikka and half full. The korma dish was half full. Speedy delivery though but couldn’t enjoy the food to a high standard . Very disappointed

Onion bhaji very greasy but curry very tasty

Ordered fairly hot chicken Balti with Saag Aloe - came on time and was still hot, not too spicy but very tasty and loads of good quality chicken. Good Naan and good Saag - will order again 9/10 👍

VILE....and The worst curry I have ever had. Haven t been back nor will do. " Curry specialists ' sign is laughable. Also their chicken nuggets are soggy, regurgitated, congealed, giblets and who knows what else, wrapped in wafer thin, equally as soggy, poor excuse for batter.

Absolutely delicious food tonight (Saturday night). Collected due to delivery issues previously. All fresh and hot. All of us really enjoyed it. The tandoori mixed grill was missing the salad but that was the only slight issue, everything else was great.

One of the best curry’s I’ve had in a long time. I always enjoy ladygate but never seems that spicy so this time asked for it extra hot. Nervously all be it! Wow Never burned my mouth but the heat was there. Only found one place many years ago that cooks this well. You know When the flavour out balances the spice you know it’s done right. 10/10. Thankyou lady gate. Quality curry’s everytime but think I found my new goto dish.

Food here is always good but sometimes found a little lacking on heat. Ordered this time and asked for extra hot. Wow! Last time tasted a curry this good was years ago. Sweats from the heat but no burn In The mouth. When flavour outways the spice you know your curry is done right. Thanks ladygate will be ordering again soon. By far the best curry in Beverley as all the other places just seem watery and bland.

Cancelled delivery as I live “too far away”. Anybody would think Leven was the other side of the moon. I have been ordering deliveries (with a tip for the driver) regularly for months. No phone call, just a text I cannot respond to saying that my order was cancelled. Food was excellent, customer service is just awful.

Ordered 2 vegetable curries and one contained chicken!!!! Had already tipped it over my chips before I realised, so all wasted and considering one was supposed to be a balti and the other one a madras they both looked disgusting and smelt off! I rang to tell them about the meat in my food and he said I cook food again and put phone down on me. A single curry turned up with no apology and that also looked and smelt disgusting! Won't use again as they don't make a decent curry not even a pepper in sight or onions

Piping hot quality curry, chicken was moist , spice level was just right for a Dhansak .

Very disappointed, not used in about ten years, but only takeaway who does a meat feast pizza with onion and peppers on,🤢 if I had actually looked at a paper menus would have been stated but not on the.boads on the takeaway only place who adds onions and peppers to MEAT FEAST Pizza very disappointed, won't use again!!!!!!??

The korma and rice was lovely no complaints but my son had a margarita pizza uou couldnt see where it had been sliced just looked like the cheese had been slung all over it it was so greacy waited till it was cold.worst pizza ever had tried to ring several times to complain but no answer

I specifically asked for no extra onion In my order and when it arrived it was covered in them so everything tasted like onion.

Use Ladygate as our go to Indian takeaway in Beverley - have used all the others over the years but always come back to Ladygate. Food always authentic and tasty, ready/delivered quickly and very reasonably priced. Had a few hiccups over the years but always sorted - staff friendly and happy and I Just can’t fault the consistent service and quality of food. Well done

Great service, and the meals themselves were full of flavour, but we all (4 of us) had very tough chicken, which sadly spoiled it. More likely to try the many others on the area before trying here again

Tasty takeaway, called in and ordered a hot shot pizza and lamb kebab. Both were great, fresh and tasty. Loads of toppings on the pizza with fresh chilli's and the lamb patties in the kebab were delicious, served on a pitta 4 x large patties, salad and sauces. Great prices, yes not a modernised kitchen but hey the food was good & traditional. Yes will go again

Truth about this place it is just a take away no dining in food was only just palteble up until my wife found what can only describe as a pubic hair in her food the garlic Nan had no garlic and the sauce that came with the onion bahgis and popadoms could only be described as looking like green toxic waste you could see into the kitchen prep area every thing as i started to notice was dated equipment food on the floor not cleaned up no hygene rating displyed anywhere wont be using this place ever again.

We ordered two chicken tikka masalas and one of the containers was only just over half full. The Rogan josh was good however on the milder side.

Poppadoms were inedible- tasted stale. Meat in the curry was ok but the sauce was tasteless and not sure what was going on with the bright green mint dip that tasted of food colouring

15 mins late with half of the order missing. The items which did arrive were cold. Really poor food quality. Tried calling the takeaway and the line was always busy.

Ladygate Tandoori. AVOID AVOID AVOID! So rude. No customer service ........ no food!!! They have basically stolen my money from me and had the audicity to hang the phone up on me numerous times when I complained about my food not being delivered instead of trying to sort the issue out! Appalling customer service. Food never arrived despite being paid for and attempting to resolve the issue by speaking to them.

We have been ordering from lady gate for A long time and always had great food great service however this must be the worst experience of service and food ever from any take away in Beverley. An hour late cold and poor cooked food. All apologies for being late fine but poor food is absolutely intolerable. I only got the food in the end because I rang up and asked them “where is my order” sorry sorry sorry etc, it’s ok no worries I said but when it arrived a tasteless byriani, one green pepper in my jalfrezi onion under cooked plus old precooked chicken that must of been thrown in the sauce for speed. Indeed having eaten in some Indian take always and restaurants over 25 years I can say this is the worst. We actually had to throw it out! I write this with a hope that this isn’t a slippery slope because it’s usually good.

Ordered vegetarian set meal, only to be eating it and started chewing what thought was potato but pieces of chicken I called and they said manager would call me back, didn’t and when I went in basically called me a liar, no apology just a bad attitude. Ordered through Just Eat and there attitude was just as bad, stating I should check meals before leaving takeaway 😂

Pizza looked like it had been dropped Asked for no mushrooms and there was more mushrooms than a cafe in Amsterdam. Gonna give it a miss here for a while, really poor tonight
