Laceby Chinese Take Away in North East Lincolnshire

Been searching for a good Chinese for a long time and have finally found it. First time ordering tonight and we are very impressed. Special curry and beef and mushroom absolutely gorgeous lots of big chunks of meat lovely sauce chips perfect, ribs perfect, all arrived on time and hot. Friendly delivery driver also very efficient guy taking the order over the phone. Won't be going anywhere else looking forward to next order. Thankyou

I always have the same dishes Boring I know We use this takeaway all the time and in the past 6 months it's gone downhill, so far now we are going to look elsewhere. We have just had the worst Chinese in the last 2o years. Because I always have the same it easy to judge the good from the bad and the diabolical to the fantastic This Chinese sits somewhere between bad and diabolical it was so bad we almost put it back in the cartons and took it back The chips were tough and chewy must have been fried more than once left to go cold then pinged to heat them up Egg fried rice wasn't bad Special chowmain was containing some meat I could not tell what it was if I try to discribe it, it was like luncheon meat crossed with cornbeef the noodles were dry and flavourless not nice Chicken fu yung was overcooked dry and quite chewy for an egg dish It had more course chopped onions than anything else. Flavourless and very poor. I don't think we will be going back EVER Shame used to be so good Find another one to get your takeaway from

Feel a bit sad leaving this review as a very nice man delivered the order within half an hour and the food was hot. Very large portion of chips and nice chicken, prawns and curry. However the beef and pork in my house special curry was extremely tough and i fear i shall be digging it out of my teeth all night. Whoever is cooking this meat needs to marinade or cook it much more as this is what ruined what could have been a lovely meal.

Avoid this Take Away I’m currently reporting this appalling food to the Local Authorities. How are these people getting away with serving up disgusting dishes like this ? The Laceby Chinese Take Away is situated in a good Area…..I cannot believe that locals actually eat this food ? I drove all the way from New Waltham to order and take the food back home to my family as my regular Chinese Take Away was closed. What a disappointment for all…..All our favourite dishes which are very delicious from Hy’s Palace or New Diamond had to be binned…..I have never tasted sweet n sour sauce like it……it was like poison and the pork tasted off ! The Vegetable Chowmein was dry and veg tasted old and soggy…..noodles were like pasta ! Spare Ribs were white bone looked awful my grandsons favourite they were spat out and binned ! Isn’t it a shame when your so hungry and so looking forward to your food that the Chinese are expecting you to eat this trash/garbage as that is how the food looked and tasted….,,,the serving up of food like this should not be allowed……I am so upset……that is why I’m taking it further……I mean who cooked this !!??? I think this Chinese take aways got away with so much because people don’t complain ? I was very dubious before I went in and did ask two young men what the food was like ? I should have listened to them and drove back home…….I also ordered quarter duck with pancakes which is normally served with pancakes and spring onion instead they gave me spring rolls with duck in side which were extremely soggy and absolutely Appalling. I am so angry….I just feel like they are just taking the Michael and don’t care about there customers just the easy money they are getting.

Tel order placed at 19.07 advised food wouldnt be ready to collect until 20.30, arrived to collect at 20.20 & paid for food, advised on paying that running a few minutes late. At 21.00 and 40mins after arriving Im still sat waiting. I appreciate that it is New Years Eve & busy, but if had been told at 19.07 that my food wouldnt be ready until 21.05, I wouldnt have ordered or wasted an hour travelling to Laceby & sat in the take away on NY Eve, very poor communication & very dissapointed with the service.

One of the best chinese takeaways i have ever had!! Stayed at Laceby manor resort and found this chinese in the booklet they gave us so wanted to try it out. My boyfriend and i thought it was lovely and great value for money. We just had the “basics” but was delicious and plenty more for a second round;) Would recommended and will 100% be back for a chinese’s here again at our next stay in laceby.

This is the best Chinese we have EVER had, we are not local and are staying near by, we had it delivered and my god it was good, very reasonable price wise, a lot cheaper than our local. It arrived hot! Wich is allways a good start! Duck in green pepper and black bean was perfect, king prawn in peeking sauce was top notch, prawn balls banging! The special curry my sons had was also top notch 👍🏻 Requested no peas or onions and they ate it all, big pieces of pork, chicken and prawns, we also had a house special rice wich again…top stuff! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. VERY GOOD 10 STARS FROM US 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just had an excellent House Special Curry. Huge portion, full of meat/king prawns. Hot when it arrived and very tasty. Well worth the money.

Good food and lovely service from the lady behind the counter. Highly recommend the crispy beef! Only downside is they only accept cash which wasn't notified prior to collection.

Just received our delivery, hot, fresh and delicious. We too have at least 4 Chinese takeaways closer to home BUT always choose Laceby, without doubt the best there is, fantastic high quality food everytime. We decided on a home delivery this time, arrived 40 minutes from order to Stallingborough ! Great prices and unbeatable quality. Super polite staff too. From recommendations we will try the ribs next time and will report back. Phew we are full and very happy 😊

Having a perfect takeaway that I’ve thought is the best in Northamptonshire..... I came across Laceby Chinese takeaway Wow we weren’t disappointed at all ! The food portions were great, proper large pieces of chicken breast, large prawns etc. I thought they certainly deserved a review.

We recently stayed at Laceby Manor and the menu for here was in our lodge so we decided to try them out one night. Took a while to get through to them but this wasn't an issue, order was taken swiftly once through and food was delivered in approx 50 mins directly to our lodge. The food itself was piping hot and fantastic, portion sizes were generous and great value. Only small quibble is they didn't take card payment over the phone it had to be cash on delivery, but a quick drive to cash machine at Spar up the road soon sorted this out for us.

Nice Chinese, long wait times, which I wasn't overly bothered by and was very enjoyable, once I was able to eat it.

Food is absolutely delicious always piping hot when delivered and we've often popped to pick it up if busy or we fancy a drive we don't live in the village and have 5 Chinese takeouts within walking distance but still we chose Laceby because of the quality each and every time xx PS best ribs ever no where in Grimsby or Cleethorpes can match you xxx

Chicken and Sweetcorn soup... Nice. Thai Tom Yum soup..... Very tasty (it has got prawns) Large Spring Rolls (just ok, next time we will try the small ones). Chicken in Garlic.... Nice (big pieces of chicken breast, lots of Broccoli and other veg too). Ayam Kari Chicken (again big pieces of chicken breast). This is a Malaysian chicken Curry..... Well Nice!!! Egg fried rice and chips... Nice. Free prawn crackers... Nice. Overall the best Chinese we have had in the area.

We were staying at the Laceby Manor resort and so decided to try this take away after reading good reviews. I have to say this was a great choice for us from ordering to delivery. Lovely lady who took my order was friendly and very accommodating as on top of what I ordered I wanted some fried Broccoli in Oyster sauce as a side which wasn't on their menu which they did for me and was no trouble to them at all. I asked for delivery to our lodge for 8pm and it arrived bang on time. Food was plentiful and very tasty and I have to say excellent portions and piping hot too, fresh from the wok. Definitely recommend.

Ordered on 5th August 2020. Lovely, friendly and polite lady took order over the phone. Said the price and delivery time. The young man who delivered was so polite and pleasant. The food was amazing! Best Chinese my partner and I have ever had. Full of flavour, none greasy! Could not recommend enough.

Fantastic salt and pepper ribs, then it all went wrong. The Singapore chow main was dull and flavourless and salty. You cant make up for flavour by using salt. The meat was small pre formed processed meat. One of the worst Singapore chow meins I've had. Everyone saying it was a good one , I pity you for obviously never having had a good one to know the difference. Wife's beef in black bean sauce was "ok" but again very salty. I was up in the night to drink I water a few times due to the amount if salt in the food. Will never order from here again. Quite how this place has so many good reviews is totally beyond me.

Tried this chinese for the first time. Lovely lady took our order over the phone and said delivery will be approx 1 hour. It arrived bang on an hour. Food was absolutely amazing. Normally Chinese can be greasy but this was tasty and crispy. Definitely recommend and we will definitely order again. Five star!!!!!

The Laceby Chinese is run by a lovely family who are friendly and welcoming. The food is always very good. They also have a delivery service which is useful, especially in today's difficult times.

Just fantastic service is very quick within ten mins excellent staff highly recommended food mind blowing great price fab servings plenty of food enough to last you two days they always do you enough food to go around excellent value for what you get. Five star service everytime it really is I always come here for my chinese massive portions and lovely hot food. Just moved to the area and find this place fantastic . Immaculate inside owners and staff are lovely . Food well it’s so good ! We live 10 miles away and even have a Chinese in our village but still travel every time to come here instead it’s that good !! Well done

I've ordered From Laceby Chinese at twenty past six and it's now half past eight and it's still not here have rang to find out where it is and she said oh your not the only one waiting here someone else take this I'm sick of people moaning and then ACTUALLY put the phone down on me absolutely shockingly bad disgusting customer service never ordering from them again and now we're starving and don't think it's gonna come!!!

Had family over for the evening, and orded a meal, when it came, the portions were quite large and enjoyable, and the service was polite and fairly quick, and the food was scrumptious

Having just moved to Laceby 2 years ago I was overjoyed to find such a fantastic Chinese. The menu is very extensive there is everything you could think of and the waiting time is minimum the price is very reasonable and most of all the food was fantastic and plenty of it. All in all I would highly recommend.

Called this take away for a delivered meal after staying at Manor Lodge lucky for us what a find. We had no menu so they worked with us to get the meals we wanted. Within 30 minutes we had our meal delivered. It was of the highest quality and hot. The spare ribs where so tender they came of the bone with a fork. The fried rice excellent both plain and Singapore. Beef and chilli was beautifully cooked and again crispy but tender. Highly recommend the Laceby Chinese takeaway all beautiful cooked and plentiful portions. If your this way and fancy takeaway give these a ring doubt you would be disappointed.

Cant big this place up enough, food was piping hot, tasty and delivered by a lovely pleasant delivery driver. Was unsure about ordering from them being 3 miles away but we have never had a meal as hot as this before & there are many much nearer. Best take away we have ever had. Couldn’t believe how quick the delivery was ordered at 6 was delivered at 6.19!! Couldn’t fault anything, food was gorgeous.. only problem is it’s miles away from our home had on a weekend away!! Gutted!

Best chinese take away in the area, been coming here for years and has recently changed hands but quality is still excellent. Would have been a 5* but it is a bit pricy compared to other local take aways.

Si la verdad que son un poco mimado por comida para llevar China calidad en la zona, pero este para mí es el mejor que he tenido. Es la primera vez en mucho tiempo que he estado aquí, ya que no es local en mí, pero me alegra haberlo hecho y sin duda volveré. Frases como 'cataratas del hueso' y 'melts en la boca 'están sobreutilizados, pero sinceramente, no se me ocurre una mejor manera de describir sus costillas - y son una comida en sí mismos. También fue una ventaja para finalmente encontrar un sitio que no adecuado fideos singapur - otra buena razón para volver.

Yo y mi familia siempre vienen aquí para nuestro chino llevar no iría a ningún otro sitio. El personal siempre dispuesto pedimos su orden siempre rápida la comida siempre se sirve caliente y es muy sabrosa. Siempre tenemos un montón de comida en los platos y a un precio excelente no podemos quejar de ninguna manera. La última vez que había pollo con salsa dulce y agria que estaba hecho a la perfección encantadora de pollo fresco y había un montón de la izquierda. El personal es siempre muy agradable para una familia de 6 por £25 libras con botella de gaseosa y pan de gambas en la parte superior encontramos que una excelente relación calidad-precio. El llevar siempre es tan limpio es genial saber qué estaban comiendo mi hermana tiene alérgia y siempre ten cuidado y que no nos informen si la comida como frutos secos. No puedo echar la culpa al personal para que no tome muchas escapadas de hacer o sin informarle si tenía una tuerca o de algún tipo de alergia, pero no es realmente genial saber. Very disappointed in the delivery of our chinese. We ordered our meal at 6:45, expecting it to arrive by 8pm - sadly mistaken. I called at just gone 8pm and I was told it would be another half hour. Half hour came and went - called again at 9pm to be told the driver had set-off - hooray !! So, 2 hours, 25 minutes to get our take-away - unbelievable. Perhaps, the guy who took the order should have warned about how long it would take because I would certainly have either gone to collect or made other eating arrangements. In addition to that when you're partner is diabetic this sort of situation isn't ideal. Not a good way to run a business, absolute lack of communication.

One of the best Chinese takeaways I had. A little out the way but worth the 5 mins up the bypass..delivery charge a little steep to be fare but the food is well worth it.

Normally, the food is very enjoyable, but this time I was really disappointed with my " vegetable spring roll" because all it had inside was beansprouts- no other vegetables... Hmmm... didn't taste good

Ordered a chinese beef and onions with rice from Laceby Chinese takeaway. Thoroughly enjoyed it with a portion of mushrooms. The beef was plentiful and very succulent. Top marks. Recommend trying it.
