La Wok Chinese Takeaway Penilee in Glasgow City

My wife ordered a takeaway and thank God I never ordered anything for myself. A burnt chow mein, the worst chicken fried rice ever (according to my daughter), curry sauce that tasted like water with minimal flavour, chips from 2 days ago. Chicken balls , I'll give them a pass mark, at least ther was a crunch in the prawn crackers

Foods not as good as it use to be. Delivery comes in about 10mins.

I agree with Josephine's Wales review it was my favourite Chinese takeaway for the past couple of years but think it must be a different chef now food is soggy or greasy or over spiced not like it used to be. Disappointing now.

Loved this Chinese but unfortunately as of late the place has become very disappointing. Dinner tonight was to be honest disgusting. Chips were soggy and not the same ones they ised to do, chowmain was salty and had more noodles than meat and very dry, and the chicken wings were salty. Actually putting me off goin back to it. Its my local and always liked the food but don't know what's goin on if its new owner's or what but not impressed lately. None of us could eat it. We were left hungry. Waste of money.

Ordered the peking ribs & chicken chow mein both were lovely fast delivery also

Took my order today (for over £50), then claimed they hadn't received it (after over an hour) and no offer of a reduction in cost to rectify the situation. Absolutely rubbish customer service and no acknowledgment of any blame whatsoever. Avoid at all cost!!

We get the munch box regularly, it's fantastic. We usually pick up but couldn’t on this occasion so got a delivery. The delivery driver was one of the most pleasant people I've met in a long while. Just go you won't be disappointed.

Curry sauce was more spicy than usual about 90% of it was just covered in spices, not normal, found the woman who served me was pretty rude also wont be back here again.

Worst place ever I had guest round places a order for delivery at 6pm got only half and charged me £37.00 and the replayed sorry but got the other half 40min later by the time my guest left it was so embarrassing never been so embarrassed in my life even the guest say what kind off service was that not slow in taking full amount money and not given you the full order maybe they dont understand English

Been using for a while but sunday for mothers day thought i would treat myself. Chips were hard and omelette was cold as was chips. Dont think will use again

Salt and chilli wings, satays and peking ribs are our go-tos. Love them. We often try other things and have little complaints except the S&C crispy shredded beef was really dry, chewy and inedible. Having said that we have tried many Chinese takeaways in the cardonald/penilee area and keep coming back for value and flavour (especially those wings!) We are rarely disappointed.

I would say between this and Ruby's there both the best Chinese takeaways in the Southside always nice n fresh and the staff are really nice and friendly.

First time using this takeaway and it’ll be the last time. In all honesty the rice and curry sauce where nice but the salt and chilli chips where the worse I’ve tasted from any Chinese…small and hard, over cooked and tasteless…won’t be back!

Will never use them again been customer for years. Was worst meal ever spent £30.60 to receive food cold, chips were soggy so was chicken balls like they were lying for ages as if reheated in microwave. My husband phoned to complain, customer service terrible argued with him saying only cooked 10mins before left shop and actually hung up on him. Will be telling friends and family to boycot them too. All our food went in the bin not edible at all.😡😡😡

Food is nice ,but don't order a delivery as driver takes out 15 to 20 orders and by time it makes it to your door it freezing,don't order on a public holiday they can't keep up with demand ,ordered at 6 delivered at 815 freezing

Beef chow mein is lovely and you get enough in your takeaway for lunch the next day.

Got a salt and chilli munchy box which is usually really good value for money and tastes good as well. But tonights one was really poor there salt and chilli spice mix was over loaded with sugar quite sickening taste. Also no chicken bites. Not worth £8.50 thats for sure.

As usual superb Best in Southside

Simply the best , tried others when they've been closed or on holiday , but , La Wok is the best of them all .

Best chinese around.. wouldnt go anywere else
