My favourite Italian restaurant in London. Great atmosphere, very nice stuff and especially the chef. I tried a lot of different dinner options here and all were delicious. Highly recommended!

We love it here and come regularly, they always manage to fit the two of us in! Grace always looks after us so well, she has a great memory with long orders! Food is always stellar, the starters are my favourite, but recently tried one of their pizzas and was very impressed.

Fabulous dinner, the Bufala and Parma ham was delicious, tasty and big too. As always the quality of the ingredients are fresh. The vita e’ Bella pizzeria in Islington, 5 minutes walking distance from the Angel’s station is a must- visited place. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We visited La Vita e Bella a few years ago and loved it, but this time it was even better. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere truly transported us to Italy. A special shout-out to the waitress who provided excellent service and to the chef who went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary requests. The highlight of the evening was that our fur baby was welcomed with open arms, making the night even more special. We can’t wait to return! Thank you!

An amazing atmosphere and even better food. The waiter/waitresses were super attentive and lovely I definitely recommend the beef capoccia and fish dishes The tiramisu was also absolutely delicious. Next time I’ll try the apple pie

We were welcomed on a busy day and nicely served with care in this lovely restaurant that reminds me of Italy. We had a tasty vegan minestrone, a beautiful tray rich of vegetables, and a delicious vegan pizza margherita, all very good included the bread that came with the meal!

Went back for seconds! A local family friend suggested eating here. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We went back for Christmas dinner and it was wonderful with our two young kids.

We spent Christmas day lunch at La Vita e Bella. I was expecting a packed resturant and a slower service being Christmas day however, the service was incredible, staff were amazing with my children, food was delicious, we had lots of space around our large table table (14 of us) and the restaurant itself is beautiful. We will be back for another Christmas dinner in the future

Absolutely a charming Italian restaurant that has pizzas from the original way they should be made in A AuthenticPizza oven so you can actually watch your pizza being made the atmosphere is Vibrant good for romantics and & for girls/boys night out .Childrens menu available .Food was tasty and our cocktails were fabulous. ( They also do mocktails) all Yummy. Have booked for the New Year. Birthdays - u can bring balloons and your own cake.so go and enjoy. Also toilets clean. If by chance you have children best to have a table on 1st floor, as steep stairs to go to lower floor, including anyone with a disability. Staff very attentive & welcoming.

Great Italian restaurant. We were a table of 6 and ordered totally different things, but we only had to wait 10 minutes for each course. The food is delicious with high quality ingredients, and the service friendly yet professional. The decoration and music created a very pleasant atmosphere. A great experience all round.

I took my brother for a birthday meal and the food was unreal. The staff were really nice and attentive, they gave great recommendations and I will definitely be visiting again. It's such a cute little restaurant and was recommended to me. The manager Mustafa was great to they made my brothers birthday special

¡Odio hacer esto! Este fue mi restaurante en Upper Street, el calzone fue increíble, tanto que lo recomendé a amigos y familiares. El propietario, el chef y el servicio eran excepcionales. Sin embargo, después de una ausencia de 6 meses volví con muchas ganas. Los precios han aumentado y la calidad ha bajado notablemente. El calzone era terrible, no prosciutto como antes, empapado y honestamente un desastre. Y yo era el único allí mientras que al mismo tiempo luchaba por una mesa. Y el chef de pizza no era el mismo que realmente se mostró. Tan decepcionado que esto ha ido cuesta abajo en sus estándares.

Kind and outstanding staff, nothing is too much trouble (including lifting me -wheelchiar user- in and out of the restaurant. 1 step to restaurant). Incredible, authentic food.

I have been ordering there for years but I stopped. The prices are INSANE, specifically vs. competition. 22.5£ for spaghetti meatballs (I must say they are really good), 14,5£ for a burrata (average and quite small), 14£ for an average tiramisu. And now we have to pay 1.7£ for the smallest portion of cheese ! Come on wake up guys !

We have visited it quite a few times and it is amazing as always. Their menu is a classic Italian menu, with loads of vegetarian options too. The food tastes amazing and feels fresh quality wise. The ambience of the restaurant feels like you are actually sitting in Italy and the staff is very sweet and friendly. In terms of dishes - I highly recommend their Mushroom risotto, Bruschetta and Zuchhini fries. I had their Banoffee pie and tiramisu both were marvellous. Do try this place!!!

Delicious food (we had the supreme chicken and chicken Milanese) and incredible tiramisu. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The general vibe and ambience is authentic and lively upstairs. I would just avoid the downstairs area at all cost. It feels claustrophobic as it definitely can’t accommodate the number of people they are trying to.

The pizza + bruschetta were delicious and the lady that served us was lovely, definitely recommend!

Superb Italian Restaurant in a London Prime Location. The food is tasty and the decor is great. You can also sit outside to enjoy your food and drinks. Washrooms are aesthetic beauty. Service is a bit on the slower side, if you are a larger group, getting your order can take huge time. Life is Beautiful!

My family ate here and it wa so good! The food is delicious especially the fresh spaghetti and salad. The garlic bread and crème brûlée were my favorites. The atmosphere is amazing and has a warm and cozy feel. Staff is also so nice!

I don’t usually review places, but this restaurant had a great atmosphere and good service. Our food arrived a little late but that’s because we came at a busy period and the staff were quick to apologize and make up for it. The chef in particular, is a very lively and joyful man who is very entertaining and friendly. As a whole the restaurant not only has good food that’s authentically italian, but also an amazing atmosphere with good service which could make you forget you’re in Britain for a moment. All in all, I suggest you try it out.

Great compact Italian bistro with a limited but good menu and some daily specials worth looking at from the South of Italy. Food and service were both good (although a quibble with the beef stew could do with cooking longer for that cut of meat) and for Islington the prices were just below average. It's a small venue so not much space between diners and with a tiled floor can get a little noisy but these are only minor issues and don't detract from the overall experience. Service charge was 13% and added to the bill. Advise booking in advance to be sure of a table if visiting and it is worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant near angel and Highbury. Staff were top class and the service was quick. The food was absolutely delicious especially the mussels and veggie charcuterie board. The prices are on the more expensive side but the tasty and large portions felt good value for money.

I visited this place with my friends Food was good , service was good But we are so disgusted by the owners attitude towards his staff , very arrogant owner and rude and disrespectful, i heard he was swearing so badly to his staff in Turkish language , we will never come back and wont recommend anyone to visit this place .

Might be good for pizza but the chicken schnitzel and the fried calamari rings weren't great. Almost worse than pub food unfortunately. Quite disappointed as I was hoping for much better quality for the price.

Just simply the best Italian in London

Brilliant place. Very good service, great food and super accommodating - we were a group of 12 with two babies and they were incredibly nice helping us manage. Good wine as well.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at La Vita e Bella on Saturday evening. The food was good as well as the service. It was our first time there. Amreto, the manager was helpful and friendly. The waitresses, Mara and Carmen, both were helpful. We were very disappointed when the bill came. They had charged us for drinking hot water :). £1.00 per mug of hot water. We had five mugs between my husband and myself, so they charged £5.00 for that. It's ridiculous charging your guests for drinking water. No other restaurant charges for water in this day and age. We have been to so many restaurants but have never been charged for drinking water. We would appreciate if the management can look into this matter and think hard before charging people for drinking water?

I have found my new favourite restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The restaurant itself is quite small so I would recommend booking before but it is beautifully decorated and perfect for a nice meal out. The food was maybe slightly higher price than average but it was worth every penny. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

The best Italian in the Upper st area, hands down. Used to average service, small and pricey portions in the area, this one blew our minds for the food and the spectacular service, especially the care and kindness they showed with our little one. Bravo.

My wife and I have made this is our standard date night spot when we go to Islington for movies or shows, we love the food (the veal escalope is quite good), the ambiance of the place (especially in the evening), and the staff are super courteous and care about their restaurant.

Great place for a chill meal. Prices were great for the quality that is delivered in this place, from starters to dessert. Knowing lots of Italian restaurants in the city, this one is definitely one to remember as the food had lots of taste in a very welcoming ambient. Definitely a recommendation for anyone in the area.

Great gluten free options - all the pizza and most pasta dishes can be gluten free! The waiters were really kind and careful when taking my order and spoke to the kitchen specifically about me being coeliac. The food was lovely so would definitely recommend.
