La Terrazza in Bedford

4 of us ate here early Saturday evening, the food was fantastic and Naz looked after us really well. We had arancini balls and calamari for starters, both were lovely with the calamari in a really light batter. For mains, we had octopus, chicken, lamb and gnocchi and all were really tasty. The house red went down a treat as well. We'll def be back.

Wow! Absolutely exceeded my expectations. The setting, service and food were all exceptional. I had a selection of small starters and the giant conchiglie stuffed with sausage and ricotta - I could easily have been greedy and had a 2nd portion of it!

Attended with 7 other people for a bottomless brunch for a birthday and had a lovely time! Live DJ and an additional 30 mins added - got a little bit messy but had a great time! Big big thank you to the staff and owners who made sure we were all ok!

The bottomless brunch was one of the best i’ve been too, amazing array food, brilliant DJ and cocktails came quickly and were just gorgeous! Coming back for sure in the summer, great vibes overall

Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food and wonderful service. What more could you ask for? We had a joint celebration and everything was perfect. A very nicely cooked steak and lovely deserts amongst only some of the highlights. We will be back! Thank you for making a special day lovely.

Such a fantastic evening at La Terrazza! This was our first time visiting and will definitely be returning. Our waitress was welcoming and very attentive. Food was delicious and the atmosphere and service was great! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again!

La Terrazza restaurant in Bedford is a great place to have an Italian dinner. Very cozy and warm. The food is tasty. Very busy and service might be a bit slow. We were a table of six. We had bruschetta, calamari, seafood risotto, beef blade, octopus, trio desserts, torta della nonna. A bottle of wine and some drinks to start. Pricey but recommended.

Firstly the staff were friendly, inviting and very professional. The restaurant is very nicely laid out and be it a little small, it was very cosy and inviting. The menu is very good and the wine and beer, choices are great. The food was flavoursome, hot and good - if I’m “nitpicking” I requested my lamb , medium rare but it was over done. I didn’t complain because overall it was a very nice dining experience. I recommend La Terrazza Restaurant

Delightful experience at La Terraza last night. Properly delicious food - the dishes aren't pretentious, but also not exactly what you'd expect. Everything was fresh and cooked beautifully. Service was brilliant aswell, very attentive and knowledgeable with smiles all around. Vegetarians in the group weren't pigeon-holed into one or 2 dishes either.

Absolute first class food and service from Chefs Daniele and Marco. If you haven't already been, you are missing out. The quality and the flavours of the food and the detail is simply outstanding. A group of us dined here for my Dad's birthday and we were all very impressed with just how delicious the food is. I love seafood so I had the seafood linguini and it was the best I have ever had. Popped in for a late Saturday lunch. Friendly and attentive service was just right, not overbearing at all. Calamari, a salmon croqueta and gnocchi with San Marzano tomatoes and aubergine were fresh and generous. Go and find it!

Excellent dining experience in a hidden gem in the heart of the town! The serving staff couldn’t do enough for us, which was so refreshing….even the chef came out to thank us for our comments on the delicious food. We had the prawn starter, (amazing sauce and huge juicy prawns), prawn spaghetti, chicken supreme and rigatoni with Italian sausage and Burrata. All fantastic dishes. We have already booked our next meal there! Excellent place to have a romantic meal with your other half, that's exactly what I did. We went for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday and I am glad to have chosen this restaurant. The service is excellent, as it is the menu and the wine selection. I recommend this restaurant without reservation.

We had such a wonderful evening last night at La Terrazza which was made all the better by Sophia B, what an incredibly attentive server and super friendly too. The atmosphere and music is great and the food and wine selection is perfectly pitched. We ordered the tomahawk steak with all the trimmings. Incredible quality meat, my niggle would be the way it was cut making it a little chewy but cooked to our liking. The trimmings were okay but pretty minimal. They could afford to be a little more generous with that. All in all though an absolutely wonderful experience. Sophia is a star!

I popped in whilst dropping off one of my offspring to her prom. I had a few snacks and a drink. I was not hungry but soon tucked into some wonderful starters. My other daughter had the Cotoletta that she thoroughly enjoyed. The chef is obviously proud of his craft. Well done and keep up the good work.

This is the best restaurant in Bedford centre. A hidden gem just off the high street and competitive with some of the out of town 5* destinations. A great meal, with excellent service. Give it a try, you’ll be impressed.

I am not impressed at all! This restaurant is advertised as Italian, but the food is nowhere close to authentic Italian cuisine. The menu is poor and strange. My husband ordered a chicken cotoletta, and the bread was completely separated from the chicken. As for my risotto with wild mushrooms, it only tasted like stock. We won’t be coming back here again!

La Terazza is the best Italian restaurant in Bedford! Lovely fresh pasta and meat courses, With a wide selection of dishes ! Two great chefs in Daniele and Marco! Anything you choose to eat on the menu is amazing and completely fresh! The service is great for the front of house. I recommend to everyone I know to go there whether it be a date night, family or friend event! The warm and friendly atmosphere makes you feel at home !

Friendly service but forgot a few things. The food was pleasant. Chairs were SO uncomfortable. Wine was excellent, as was the lemon dessert. Not a fan of where we were seated though.

This little place is a like a diamond in the rough…I’ve been enough times to be able to say that it is consistently gorgeous, tasteful, quaint, personable, with delightful food to satisfy all appetites. It’s great for a party or an intimate dinner and the quality of the food is absolutely on point. We love it here, we love the partners running it. Their passion is clear to see in the service, presentation and over all experience. Can’t wait for another reason to come! ❤️

This is a little gem of an Italian restaurant in central Bedford but tucked away in a quiet alley of the high street. It offers great food and friendly service all in a great atmosphere. A great find to which we will certainly return

The swordfish is a must try! The steak is also pretty great. The service and atmosphere are excellent. You completely forget that you're only a few meters away from the high street especially in the summer with the French doors open and outdoor seating area. I highly recommend this restaurant for date nights or celebrations

We had a wonderful meal at La Terrazza. Everything we ate and drank was delicious - especially the seafood pastas. The meal was extremely good value for the quality of the food and dining experience. We wished we lived closer - I think we’d be here all the time!

I would like to say that the staff were superb throughout our visit. Our group literally had the run of the restaurant for the whole afternoon celebrating our friend’s birthdays. The food was fantastic and so was the service. We were looked after tremendously. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I have not been before but will make sure we book again. We got 5star treatment and it was fabulous.

Food was good but was way to noisy we couldn’t hear each other speak and ended up giving us a headache will not be going back you are crammed in and so close to other people there is just not enough room between tables

We got a warm professional greeting on arrival and were swiftly seated upstairs. Nice atmosphere and not kept waiting for our drinks order. The decoration etc is good except the 1st floor WC and WC lobby that faced our table. With the doors constantly left open. Easily sorted with a door closer on the WC lobby door (please). The food was really good ( blade of beef, swordfish and a pasta dish. There was maybe too much salad with the swordfish but otherwise all good. The service was 10/10 effort and attentiveness, the young staff were great. It just got a 7/10 all round. It was a bit rushed at times (through no fault of the waiter's) and a few smashing noises. I would definitely go back and try them out again.

Went for the first time tonight since they've opened and cannot stress enough how much, you, who reads this should go! (Also get the calamari with garlic sauce) The food is so delicious, the staff obviously love being there which helps add to the great atmosphere, other tables are just as excited as you are reading the menu & getting their food and drinks! Hats off to you guys it's amazing! Obviously special mention to Naz, Daniele and Sofia! Thank you guys we will be back ASAP!

Lovely Italian with classic dishes.

Came here around 2pm on a weekday. Had a table booked, but it wasn't too busy. Friendly staff and lovely decor. Ordered calamari and bruschetta to start, both amazing! Then for mains, I got the pesto chicken tagliatelle and my partner got a well done steak, with chips. He said it was the best steak he'd ever eaten. Both were so delicious. The owner then came to chat to us as we were paying, very friendly guy. A lovely place and would definitely return.

We went to La Terrazza for dinner the evening before our wedding, the food was delicious, the staff were amazing and Naz was a wonderful host!

Delicious food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Scamorza cheese ravioli with aubergine was rich and tasty, side of green beans perfectly cooked followed by the exquisite chargrilled octopus. All freshly made and beautifully served. Finished off with a delicate panna cotta and a great coffee. I was travelling so dining alone and was made very welcome by the waiting staff. I highly recommend this little gem!

I have traveled the world, lived overseas for a number of years. So I would say I know a great restaurant. If you haven’t tried this little gem yet, you’re definitely missing out. I celebrated my 50th there with family, the service was outstanding, the chef came out personally to see a family member, who suffers from a serious nut allergy. He advised what dishes to have, something that made my family member feel at ease. The service was outstanding the food was to die for, so please try this beautiful restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding service and lovely food at this welcoming friendly restaurant. We both had olives and salad for starter then swordfish, new potatoes and salad for main course. Fish was cooked to perfection and the champagne was delicious. We’ll be back very soon.

Visited La Terrazza for lunch today and the food was amazing, great cocktails too. Staff are very attentive providing an excellent service. I spoke to the head chef who is very dedicated to making excellent food and making it a lovely experience for anyone that visits. Well done, we will be back!

4 of us had a wonderful evening last week , great food and lovely staff in a very attractive restaurant. 2 of us had swordfish who both said it was delicious and the best they’d ever had . The risotto with fish was lovely as was the pasta , all with a good bottle of house red. We’ll be back soon.
