La Taverna in Conwy

We had a lovely meal at the La Taverna restaurant. The meal was delicious salmon pasta followed by ice cream. I will certainly be going again.

Fantastic menu and staff. Nothing too much trouble and timely with their service. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Llandudno. I have dined there on numerous occasions previously and will continue to do so. LaTaverna is always the first on my list of restaurants to book whenever I visit Llandudno, which I do several times a year.

Absolutely incredible Italian restaurant tucked away in a side road. This place is a hidden gem, we booked last minute for our 30th wedding anniversary and they managed to squeeze us in with another couple. The food was incredible and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again thanks for a lovely evening.

Again we've been going to La Taverna for around 12 years never ever failed to be very pleased with the food , service , atmosphere its like oldie worldie Greek restaurant not modern but traditional will always continue to eat there lovely 😋

The food was lovely, the sevice was good and friendly until the main course was finished. They don't sell draft beer, its bottles so quite expensive. We had been drinking earlier so only ordered 1 beer and then drunk water. We waited 20 minutes to give dessert order, if I'm honest we were quite full but also got fed up of waiting and asked for the bill when we eventually could get a waiters attention. I left cash, I did intend the rest to be a tip, however, no offer of change or a goodbye when we were leaving, left us wondering what went wrong, we felt it all fell apart and put a bit of a dampener on us returning.

If you are looking for a top-notch Italian restaurant in Llandudno then look no further than this hidden gem! Wonderful little restaurant with a lovely ambience, staff are very helpful and courteous. Service was brilliant, in some restaurant's I have been to, if they are busy, means you have to wait for ages for a food and drinks order - not so much here. The small layout means that it is just about right for the Italian ambience and the service flows smoothly. Food is fabulous - I had Parma ham and melon for starters (sounds unusual, but is delicious), followed by Salmon and prawns in pasta with a very tasty tomato sauce, all very tasty and cooked to perfection. Make sure you book ahead - when chatting to the staff, they had already turned away several couples / groups who had not booked. Cannot fault this place - fabulous food, fabulous staff, fabulous evening! Thank you!

We were recommended here as a good place to eat. I'd recommend it as well, great staff, excellent hot fresh food and reasonably priced. If you want to go, I would advise booking as it was full when we were there.

It was our wedding anniversary and in Llandudno for just one night but it wouldn't have been complete without a visit to this lovely restaurant. The pizza here (Italian sausage) was the best my husband had had since the last time we visited, I had chicken in ham and cream sauce with a hint of tarragon, gorgeous, followed by ice cream and washed down by bellinis and wine 😊. It's only a small space so you do need to book but the staff are lovely and you don't feel rushed. I can't recommend this place enough!!! We will be back.

Authentic Italian restaurant with freshly cooked delicious food. The staff were friendly and professional. Lots of choice on the menu. The tiramisu was to die for!

This restaurant gets very busy we had to book..clean inside with attentive service... However, the food was average at best.The garlic bread with cheese was two pieces of square foccia with cheese, not circular flat garlic bread like you expect...it was basically cheese on toast??! Bizarre..The pasta dishes were very average.. not ridiculously expensive but not worth the price. We've had worse, but won't be back.

Italian restaurant serving traditional dishes. The lasagne was lovely and the garlic bread was outstanding. The panna cotta and tiramisu were both wonderful. Friendly and efficient service. Advise booking in advance as we went on a Monday night and it was busy.

We were staying at The Belmont Hotel next to this lovely little Italian restaurant. I have read previous reports giving high-level satisfaction so we popped in and was able to get a table. At 7.00pm most of the tables were full with attentive staff trying to keep up. The food was first class, high quality and served with great efficiency. Terrific value for money and well worth a return

our orders were taken by 3 separate members of staff so unfortunately we never received our drinks order and had to have the amount removed from the bill, manager gave us a discount to apologise. food was nice you have to book a table here as its only a small place.

The only restaurant I have been to where you have to pay for sides orders. The lasagne was tasty but more sauce than meat and pasta. No italian atmosphere and noisy. The only saving grace was the young waiter.

The staff are pleasant but the service is slow and unnattentive, 45 minutes wait for our starter. Cheap wines on the wine list at expensive prices. The food is average, starters were ok but neither of us finished our mains they were bland.

Lovely Restaurant with lovely food and staff. There isn’t many tables therefore you are well looked after. The food is brilliant, pizza has ampule toppings and cheesy garlic bread is exceptional! Really recommend this place for a filling hearty Italian meal :)

We traveled from the Wirral for a short break and decided we wanted some authentic Italian food for our evening out as a family. La Taverna did not disappoint! From the faultless and friendly service to the tastiest Italian food we have had outside of Italy. One of the nicest meals we have had anywhere. The front of house guys were lovely and even sorted a mini cheese plate for my wife alongside her coffee. The Tiramisu was divine. And the Ragu sauce, wow! Even the small details such as the olives and focaccia were so fresh and full of flavor. This place is a hidden gem tucked away in Llandudno town center.

Didn’t even manage to eat. I’d booked a table two weeks before I knew we’d be going. They took my phone number and my name. We arrived a the restaurant on time looking forward to a nice Italian meal that was never going to happen. They denied taking the booking, however the restaurant had two very large parties in, I guess we know where their priorities lie. As it was a bank holiday weekend everywhere was packed. On our first night in Llandudno we came across La Taverna by accident but our second visit which was on our last night in Llandudno was by design. Both occasions were first class and the food, service and everything else was a treat - but be warned - portion sizes can be large and you have to be prepared to share a desert! Had an absolutely fantastic experience with amazing starters.....king prawns which were plentiful and breadcrumbed mushrooms for me which were delicious. Swift service. Main course again....meatballs gorgeous tomato sauce for me ..hubby a mushrooms and pancetta creamy sauce. I couldn't manage a pudding but hubby had panna cotta which was well presented, very creamy and he wolfed it down. We had a bottle of house red.....smooth and complimented our meal. We were not rushed at all. Enjoyed it soooooo much we have booked for Saturday evening. We felt the bill reflected the quality of the ingredients of the meal. Looking forward to Saturday. Thanks 👍

Booked a table small restaurant and the food was amazing. I had the lasagne and my friend had the meatballs. Huge portions so really glad I didn't order garlic bread or fries to go with it just a lovely mixed salad. Very good house wine. Would recommend

A nice easy-on-eye taverna offering attentive service and an excellent selection of food that I'm sure is cooked and presented as beautifully as our choices: breaded mushrooms, calamari, fillet steak, and chicken. Saturday night and all tables were busy. Many compliments were offered as customers left. I'd have offered 5 stars if there were more meals without lactose-based sauces (cream, milk, egg, cheese) if you can offer GF selections... Especially the dessert menu only one lactose-free option lemon sorbet. We enjoyed our food which was worth every penny and the tip. When we come back for another mini-break we'll certainly book again.
