A fabulous cafe set on a fabulous beach in Penmaenmaur. The food was usual cafe food, baked potatoes, baguettes, wraps, breakfast served until 2pm, quite an extensive choice and cooked fresh. Definitely what we needed after a 10km walk. The ladies who served us were lovely, so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble which gave the cafe a lovely warm atmosphere and we all left feeling all the better for going there - it made our day!

Once we arrived at the beach we noticed we had forgotten our beach umbrella the owner kindly gave us one of his - very kind gesture . We enjoyed it that much we called back again before we went home for breakfast -again great service .

Walked along the prom and stopped here for lunch. Was very impressed with the place. My gammon and chips was delicious, proper gammon too; a plateful for only £8.50, fantastic value for money. Service was excellent. Need to be aware that this is a cash only establishment and plan accordingly. Will definitely be returning.

Called here after a bracing walk (or scoot in my case on my mobility scooter) along the promenade, initially for a drink but after looking at the menu we decided on a plate of chips with curry sauce to share too. Chips were crispy but fluffy inside (best chips we've had in a while) with a little pot of fruity curry sauce, it was just what we needed, light and tasty. The ambience of the place was lovely and had a nice view of the sea while eating. Staff were polite and nice to deal with. They serve drinks and snacks as well as full meals and have a good menu.

Went for breakfast. Coffee arrived and it was cold! And unfortunately that set the standard for the rest of the meal. The toast arrived before the breakfast and they had used crusts from a sliced loaf. Asked for bread and butter ( cost £1:50 extra) to eat with my breakfast but by the time I received it my breakfast was cold. Obviously I will NOT be returning !!

Visited today with family ordered hot drinks and cakes. Chocolate cake and frangipan were very stale. Hot drinks were ok but weak. Visited at 3.30pm whilst there, someone was sweeping the floor even sweeping around you then they started mopping g the flood again even around your feet whilst trying to eat.several people had come in during this with the floor being very wet which made it quite slippy under your feet but the smell of the cleaning products was overwhelming whilst people are trying to eat food that it put me off staying any longer. The floor looked ok so they could have waited until closer to closing time.

The menu had a good range of breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and meals like gammon, scampi and burgers. It is beside a cycle track. We arrived at 11.05 thinking we'd miss the lunchtime madness and while most tables were occupied, it wasn't full. We ordered a panini and a wrap a short time later and settled down to feed our baby. It was 12.00 before our food arrived. We had just told a member of staff to cancel the order if it hadn't been started and that's when it arrived. The quality of the food was alright and the value was good. The staff were ok, except when we complained we were told that in peak season the wait could be 30 minutes. We told her it wasn't peak season and we'd waited over 45 minutes. Didn't get acknowledged or an apology. We've just bought a house in the area and still exploring the area, but we won't go back here.

I visit the beach cafe a few times a year. Having grown up in pen and spending heaps of time down the beach growing up it's always nice to go back and visit. I think the menu is great and provides choice for a range of people! I had the gammon. The portions a fantastic size! I couldn't finish it as I was stuffed by the end. My husband wanted a breakfast and he loves fried bread. Although we didn't see it on the menu it was no bother for them to add some on for him. I was really pleasantly surprised to see cartons of soy milk on the counter. Having recently found out that I'm dairy intolerant this meant I could have a coffee with milk and not have to worry. Kids meals are fab and come with a carton of drink and a lolly for afters. It was really busy today and well deserved too. Can't wait for our next visit!

We cycled to Penmaenmawr and were hoping there may be a café for a break when we got there. We were very nicely surprised to come across this café as it was clean, welcoming and offered the sort of food and drink we were hoping for - I had a baked potato with tuna (served with a nice fresh salad and tasty coleslaw) and my husband had a bacon and egg bap (nice, not greasy). The lady serving was friendly and helpful and the food was good and reasonably priced. It was quite busy considering it was a Thursday in late September and obviously quite a few cyclists use it too. Living locally, my wife and I often park the car at nearby Dwygyfylchi (now there's a name to conjure with!) and walk the dog along the beach to Penmaenmawr. Our reward for our efforts is a "Mr Whippy" at the Beach Café, preferably served by the proprietor Kevin; he is very proud of his high-quality ice cream machine, which certainly does produce a lovely product - we cannot recommend it strongly enough, and the dog is quite impressed too! Once the weather gets colder, Kevin produces a good hot chocolate to ease our path. The Beach Café is a jolly and friendly place which does exactly what a beach café should do; it is wholly unpretentious, and keeps families happy with drinks, sandwiches and all-day fry-ups, whilst providing the children with buckets, spades and the usual seaside paraphernalia. A particularly pleasing feature is the loan of local history books on Penmaenmawr which you can read while you eat and drink. It is great to see such a café thriving and excelling at what it traditionally should do in the modern world.

Am a regular here on my many adventures in North Wales. Very friendly staff and I love my regular vegetarian all day breakfast and occasionally veggie burger. Good prices too. I'll be back many times yet! Thank you!

My wife and I have dined at this beach located cafe on a number of occaisions over the last six years or so. Mine hosts Kevin and Nicki are a very hard working couple always wanting to please. In addition the employees are always pleasant and go out of their way to make your visit a pleasant experience. The menu caters for all tastes and is prepared to order, whether it is a snack or a large, served all day breakfast. Children are well looked after, especially during the spring summer seasons, when they can be entertained by a clown, magician or maybe a balloon twister. A fair number of seaside essentials, such as buckets and spades etc. are also offered for sale. There is a large wide prom for an away from traffic stroll, with views far out to sea. ships, boats and yatchts etc making the best of the fines weather.Very well worth taking a detour off the A55 fist sign Penmaenmawr when travelling East. This takes you direct on to the easy parking prom. The cafe is situated in a non traffic area of the prom.

Popped in here the other day and delighted to find a café that doesn't charge exorbitant prices for gluten free cakes. They looked and tasted home made and were delicious. Staff friendly and café has fantastic views across the bay. Would certainly return if we are near this area again.

We spend a lot of time hammering along the North wales coast to visit family and Anglesey and this bit, between the two tunnels going east (or back to England) is somewhere that we totally overlook and have never stopped in. However we had a "I'm going to be sick any minute" incident and ended up coming off the main road at the first turning after rounding the headland into Penmaenmawr bay. We ended up on the beach car park, went for a walk and stumbled across this café. So we ended up here completely accidentally! It's a weird concrete world below the A55 built to replace the towns promenade that had to go to allow the road to be built and I felt rather guilty that Penmaenmaw, had had to suffer so brutally just to make my journey quicker. However given that it was very cold and "bracing" on the seafront, the café was a Godsend and delivered exactly the right kind of chips-with-everything, no-nonsense feel-good food at a reasonable price that the weather and the location demanded. We all enjoyed both it and the location and I suspect our accidental find may become something of a regular stop off now - especially as there was a playground next door and the sea is literally a stones throw away - certainly it was a bit more exciting than the usual Burger chains that the kids clamour for

Tried to charge for a squeeze of Costco ketchup on my son’s chips after I spent £15 on drinks and chips. It’s easy to spend my hard earned money ANYWHERE else. Usually really like going out of my way to support local independent business that go the extra mile to attract more tourists to the area…. Won’t be coming back here unfortunately. Shame as the location is great. Perhaps this is a little petty, but I thought it just plain mean.

Nice home cooked food, friendly staff! Visited a few times now, a basis looking place but the quality and choice of good home cooked food with really friendly service keeps us coming back and recommending to family. Great value, easy access and free parking.
