First time that i have visited the restaurant, it was absolutely packed with diners, so i knew that it was going to be a great night.

Amazing food,,amazing service always polite funny and go the extra mile for you..its our family favourite place to go and eat..keep up your hard work as it has paid off

Very nice food, very busy place makes for a great atmosphere. My first time visiting and was very impressed. Clean plates all round is a sign of good food and that's what we had!

My favourite Italian to go to, the food is always divine, service impeccable and such a lovely atmosphere.

Food was really nice and the waiter was lovely , the only thing that spoiled it was because there was only two of us we were shoved at the back of the restaurant right next to the emergency doors and a fire extinguisher. It was like we were add ons at the last minute but we wernt as it was booked in advance. This unfortunately spoilt the experience 😕

We were a pre booked party of 17 . The service was fantastic and the food was 1st class. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive. We all enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend.

Visited La Scala this evening for the first time, for our son's birthday. Lovely food, beautifully presented! The staff were attentive and very friendly. Would go again and highly recommend it 😀

Top meal as always, great friendly staff

£23.50 for a steak and a bowl of fries. No salad, no veg, literally that. The steak was lashed in a cheese sauce which just over powered the steak. The pasta marina said it was in white wine sauce. Was just over powerd with tomato sauce. It never mentioned tomato sauce on menu. Peppers with feta. 5 cubes of feta, and a pepper halved and soggy. Looked like the one you get in jars. Had scallops. 2 scallops cut in half 2 cherry tomatoes and a few slices of chorizo. Tell us the scallops ae halved. Well I think that says it all. We definitely will not be going back. We were starving when we left and that cost £80. Each to their own.

I've been here quite a few times, but tonight was not good. I ordered a sirloin steak medium, and they bought out a well-done fillet. I sent it back, and they brought out a well-done tastless ribeye. I know my steaks being a butcher. It's a shame that they don't know their steaks. But I will go back but will never order a steak.

Place is far too noisy for me but maybe the younger generation are not bothered. It certainly doesnt make for a relaxing evening.

We use regularly for take away and it it always as good as the resturant quality wise.

Wow, just wow!!! We did not know what we wanted to eat and found this amazing place by accident. Staff was just fabolous , chatting, joking , very passionate about place. Thanks to them atmosphere is excellent. Chef is making perfect Italian food. Lobster ravioli🤤🤤🤤..... just gorgeous. And you like authentic Tiramisu , it should be definitely your choice. Highly recommended for romantic date, family meeting , parties , little dinner. Big plus- you can take doggy bag🤩🤩 No waste😊

Our go to italian best one around no doubt

Nice ambiance on a Saturday night . Large group in very drunk noisy and rowdy staff did not control them but of a let down. Not sure if this is actually Italian owned or Eastern European owned . The steaks t bone at £27 quite thin but cooked of med rare . Side dishes ok . Starter ribs good with a chilli kick . I have been spoilt by going to a real Italian of quality DaSandros in Huddersfield but to be fair it deserves three stars no more . What made it good was the young female staff very nice . Note to people going I never tip unless I can guarantee the money goes in the servers pocket …. In this place they are told they will get a percentage and they never do ! So in my mind all the tips go to the owners which is outrageous. I will go again the cooks are good but I think Albanian, Hungarian or some other nationality behind the scenes not that it matters 5 percent of Indian restaurants are actually run by Indians ! Go give it a try food just above average , service good but crowd control zero and not a “real” Italian

I'm not from Rochdale but I often visit this Italian restaurant on my travels and have so far not been disappointed. Highly recommended.

I was visiting from London and joined friends for a birthday meal here. Amazing atmosphere reasonably priced. I loved the service, staff were down to earth and friendly. Food was good not fond on the dish I ordered but portion sizes are really good and the food did taste nice (just tasted my friends lobster ravioli & liked that better) overall a beautiful place run by genuinely great people.

We normally love this place, but when we visited with a couple of friends a few weeks ago on a busy Saturday evening the experience was not so great Food was great, but felt very rushed amd before we had finished our drink after the meal, we was asked to leave the table as it was needed for another party. It wasn't like we sat there for hours, we only had drinks and main courses. they really need to consider allowing customers to enjoy the meal and drinks before kicking them out the door

Take your money to mazzo's or belavista

After a fabulous meal here ,we decided to go back. Totally different, barb ribs fat and cartilage very spicy. Chicken main course, not very nice and again way to hot. So disappointing after recommending to all our friends 😞

When we first walked in we were not very welcomed and was not a friendly environment so much so we wanted to walk out as it took a while for our order to be taken. Other people arrived after us and were seen to first. The starters were ok but lacking flavour as were the mains. The pasta had hair in it and after that experience we didn't want to stay for dessert

Called in on a Saturday evening to see if they had any tables free. They set up a table even though the restaurant was very busy, all the staff were great, the atmosphere was great and the food and service were impeccable 👌

Food was good and came out quickly. Unfortunately my birthday meal didn’t go down as planned. After me and my future wife finished our main meals, the dishes were collected and we were expecting a waiter to come over to ask us if we wanted dessert (we had stated this at the beginning of the evening). After some time passed, I tried to get the attention of a waiter but unfortunately all of their attention was focussed on flirting with the groups of girls seated behind us and a few tables away. The restaurant was hot due to the weather and we wanted to order a drink in addition to the dessert but after we had waited 40 minutes with no service at all we decided we were no longer going to continue our order. The couple sat next to us also had the same issue. We were really disappointed in the service and would not dine here again due to this.

Hands down, I’m a regular here. Staff, are brilliant, hardworking and patient. they have brilliant food and have not cheaped out on things like seats or food and is a place to enjoy. Have recommended it to friends and family. It is in my eyes the perfect local restraunt.

Wonderful welcome lovely Italian atmosphere restaurant. Food is excellent hot good size portions and excellent value for money. Prices are good value . Staff are so pleasant and can't do enough to help. There is parking which is good. Special days new year's eve there will even be music and dancing which we enjoyed enormously. Definitely give this restaurant a visit. Thank you again la scarla x

Great food. First time we went. 17th June 2023. But definitely not the last. We both had fillet steak and extra sides which was not needed. Hence the price we paid. A couple could quite easily have a bil of £50 for a meal out here with drinks. We will definitely be going back soon.

I visited La Scala today and I was blown away by the food and the amazing staff. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly polite, friendly and very funny. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel welcomed by the great atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and I could tell that the staff truly cared about making our dining experience a memorable one. I highly recommend La Scala to anyone looking for fantastic Italian food and outstanding service. I'll definitely be back!

Foods great here but the staff were surly on 13th when we visited. Really surprised as we've enjoyed it before.

1st visit and DEFINITELY not the last. Arrived Sat' evening at 6pm and the restaurant was packed including a large Birthday party but the service, food quality and staff were absolutely excellent. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and all-round great experience.

Buzzing atmosphere if not a little loud due to a large table but thankfully they left just as our mains arrived. The food is good, it won't blow you away but it's worth a visit, the menu is vast with lots of different flavours and styles of dishes to choose from, service from f.o.h was slow, one waitress i noticed in particular ( a blonde girl maybe late teens / early 20s) bad mouthing her previous employer quite loudly which is never a good look and not very professional. Initially it took around 15 minutes to get a drinks order in by which time we were ready to order mains, despite these issues i'm fairly certain we will visit again soon as there was nothing uo with the food.

We visited here on valentine's day and we found the restaurant to be spotlessly clean and Modern and the staff where very attentive and polite. The food was absolutely stunning and very reasonably priced. We ordered a bottle of pink prosecco which was very reasonably priced and every time a member of staff passed us and our glass was looking a bit low they would top us up. Made our day very special and memorable Thank you all at La Scala we will be back in the near future

First time dining here and here is our honest review. We were warmly greeted and we were asked where we would like to sit (never had that before) which was nice for a change to choose instead of being sat somewhere waiting on staff put you. We were asked straight away if we wanted drinks and then given a good amount of time to decide what we would like to order. STARTERS :- I had the scallops. Rating :- 5/5 (I would have loved more scallops & less chorizo) My husband has the Pate. Rating :- 4.5/5 A very good amount of starter. Mains :- I had the Sea Bass. A great portion size. Rating :- 5/5 Husband had the Lamb Shank. A massive shank with lots of meat and the mash was delicious. The veg was lovely. Rating :- 4.5/5 Desserts :- I had the Crème Brûlée. Rating :- 3/5. It was nice. It was VERY small. I would have liked the top to be more crunchy than it was, definitely needed the blow torch on it longer. I absolutely am fully aware that a Crème Brûlée is meant to be cold and the topping warm/hot BUT, it definitely would have been better all warmed through IMHO. Drinks were 1 pint of beer and an ice water. The starters, mains and desserts are very well presented. The starters and mains are a very good portion size too. The service was excellent. Waiting on staff were very attentive, professional, courteous, never rushed us at all, dressed to impress & all looked immaculate. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with very nice food and we would return. It cost £84 for the 2 of us.
