We popped in to get some lunch after seeing the board outside. We ordered some meatballs and rice, and chicken and hummus and it was SO yummy and great value for price. Lovely man who was super friendly and smiley. Will be back :)

Just a great experience, good food and staff

The stewed lamb might be the best one in Leeds. The owner is very hospitality. Price is reasonable. Highly recommend.

We used to go here a lot years ago when it was Sami’s. It was always unlicensed with a small corkage charge. We hadn’t been for ages but it was convenient so I checked it was still unlicensed before booking, as there were quite a few of us. There was no mention of corkage being £6 per bottle of wine plus £1 per can/bottle of anything else. We were supplied with awful plastic wine glasses that were either scratched or dirty, the service wasn’t greet and while most of the food was ok a couple of dishes were poor and one didn’t show up at all until everyone else had finished despite a couple of prompts. We weren’t impressed but then the bill came and the owner threw a strop when we objected to the corkage charges, which we discovered at that point. There are some lovely places to eat in Chapel Allerton. This isn’t one of them.

Visited here for some lunch with the kids. Food was really good and so was the service. Our son also gave the owner top marks.

This place is a real hidden gem. It is very cosy, relaxed and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is efficient and the food is proper home made style. Even the chips are real home made with potato skin still on which I love. I had never had Moroccan food before, and now I love it because the flavours are delicious but the spice is gentle. Portions are also very generous. The grillade chicken and the chicken with olive and carrot are my favourites so far. I think you can possibly bring your own alcoholic drinks as I have seen another customer do this in the past. But I am not 100% sure, and ofcourse you should always ask first. Just a lovely simple little restaurant.

I love La Princesse (aka Sami's). The food is always top notch and full of flavour. The service is always friendly and Sami is always welcoming. A real Chapel Allerton institution.

A really unexpected but amazing experience. I have read the reviews before but looking at how the restaurant visual appearance is, I didn't had high hopes. We went there 3 people looking to have some maroccan or as similar as possible food. Personally I was looking to eat some nice lamb tagine. Once the food started coming in all three of us were very surprised with the food. The quality is very good, really tasty and huge portions for the prices. The owner who was also the person serving us, went to the Moon and back to make our dinner one of the best dining out experiences I had in years. I can't say enough how happy we were and how I am looking forward to come back again!

Lovely food, very reasonably priced, only £13 for a starter and main! Good range of dishes to select from. Wife had the salmon and it was the biggest chunk of salmon we’d ever seen! The guy who runs it is very hospitable, gave us a free little dessert! Would definitely come here again, I think it gets overlooked because of the number of restaurants in Chapel Allerton, which is unfair.

Such a lovely little Mediterranean restaurant. The food is really nice and the owner was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. He let us try a little dessert which was lovely. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family here. :)

The value is second to none. My kids love visiting on a weekend after football, it is without fail their first request when I ask where they want to go! The service is friendly and comfortable, you just feel at home. The food great and the portions are extremely generous. Beats anything any chain restaurant can serve with ease.

Great portions and tasty food! We had the meatballs tagine and lamb couscous and soup for starters and it was delicious and the portions were a good size for the price! I would definitely recommend . The owner was a very nice and down to earth gentleman ! Thumbs up

Food is lovely, the service very good, location poor as very little parking nearby, the restaurant was very cold and draughty however. 2 customers entered saying ah thank god the table next to the radiator is available...!

Me and my partner have just had the Tagine Meghou each here and it was lovely, couldn’t fault the food for the price and the owner/ s were nice genuine guys.

We've been going to this restaurant for a while but tonight was our first visit since the rebrand as La Princesse. Pleased to see it's still absolutely fantastic. The food is brilliant - my chicken starter was as good an entree as I've had in ages, so tender and delicious. The staff are simply fantastic, chatting to us about Algeria and indulging us when I'm sure we were being quite tedious, but more importantly, the value is out of this world. This restaurant deserves to be packed out every single night, it never misses and succeeds in every aspect. Could not recommend more.

Stumbled across this restaurant at random. The gentleman who served us and cooked our food was so friendly and nice. And the food was yummy. Really reasonably priced too. A lovely surprise and would definitely go again.

I did not have big expectations, but food was very well made and tasty, definately a recommend.

Went with my mum for lunch on my trip to Leeds and got the 3 course lunch, the food was incredible and so much of it for lunch. Very good value and the service was great, so friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely be visiting again. Xx

Sami is lovely, nice guy. Menu is simple but good enough. We had harira soups, few starters and spicy chicken as a main. All fine, just little bit disappointed of baklava dessert. Moroccan tea is fantastic.

The worst food I have ever had.The place is so runned down it needs a full refurbishment.Felt the food was not made fresh and was just heated up and already pre cooked as some of my food tasted cold .Not the place to visit in chapel Allerton go somewhere that has better and larger selection of food to choose from that will taste nice.

Don't be put off by the look of the place... Absolutely gorgeous food and very generous sizes. Have eaten here a lot and never had a bad meal. Fabulously authentic. You can also take your own alcohol!

Food was average, not the worst not the best. Could have been a bit spicier for Moroccan food. Place is a bit run down. Food is relatively cheap however only cash excepted and no alcoholic beverages.

The food was great and for a large party of 20 plus the service coped really well .it was a joint new years eve/birthday party.but the evening was spoiled by a stelf payment that turned up on the bill a corkage charge for opening the wine and prosecco bottles at £3,50 a bottle for opening bottles that we had taken ourselves was far excessive imo plus a 10% service charge

Very nice family ran business. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was of excellent quality and the service was very good. Price wise it is not expensive! The restaurant is bring your own, so if you are wanting an alcoholic drink don't forget to bring it with you (there is a supermarket 2 minutes away). A point to be noted is that they don't accept card payments so turn up with cash, there is also a cash machine really close by. Would definitely return again.

Great food, great service, I had the chicken trainee with dauphinose potatoes and mushroom sauce and it was delicious, the restaurant was busy noisy and a great atmosphere, and in all that business service never slipped, thanks Sami, great night
