This was horrid! Food took ages and my knife was dirty. My chicken was so small. My grandma cooks better then this!!!

went to the springs restaurant tonight as our anniversary dinner, we had been once before as well and the service has always been amazing , staff always very attentive and the food is great as well , my partner said it was the best lasagna he has ever had. the waiter harry who looked after us was amazing as well great service from him he must be a valued member of team who also had great dessert recommendations , well done , cannot wait to be back soon 10/10 👍

We would just like to say a big Thank You to all the staff at Riva Blu, The Springs, Leeds, who were there last night catering for our party of 13, you all did an amazing job and really made the Birthday celebrations feel extra special. Shout out to Harry, as usual, delivering outstanding customer service.

2nd Visit today. Really will not return. Not one of us enjoyed our main meals. Just the arancini and even that was slightly cold. Infact most of the food was Luke warm my cappuccino was flat cold. Staff are incredibly pleasant but I never agree with service charges. I have always tipped the staff but don't like it to be added to bill. Very disappointed as I do love the springs I know they are the same chains as the previous but the food has definitely gone down hill In response to Francesco who can not even get my name correct! Or are you calling be Debbie for some other reason??! Now thinking management maybe as terrible as the food!

Harry was an incredibly diligent and warm server. He was very attentive and polite. Food was really good. Couldn’t fault a thing. Highly recommend.

This restaurant has changed hands over the years but this is the best visit I have had so far. Harry the waiter was very attentive and served with a friendly smile. The front of the house lady was also very welcoming. The food was excellent, out of the group of 3 we had only compliments. I had the meatballs and semifreddo for dessert.

Harry’s an angel, had a great meal but he made our night! Always a pleasure x

After visiting the Manchester branch with my partner, I decided to take my Dad to this one as it’s only down the road from us! Sadly a very disappointing experience here, despite taking our order within 5 minutes of seating us - the service after was very slow! Starter arrived within 25 minutes but was another 40 minutes if not more for our mains which were all ordered at the same time so really shouldn’t have taken so long! Trying to grab a waiter’s attention was very difficult as they were constantly focused on a large party booking at one of the other tables. The “COTOLETTA DI POLLO” was highly disappointing for the £23.50 price, it was literally 2 very thin pieces of breaded chicken (like cardboard not an overreaction) with a plop of sauce, it was very dry and not even slightly tasty. No extras included like fries, spaghetti, pasta etc. Very overpriced for what it was. Nobody asked us whether our meal was okay while we were eating it and only after was it queried, we told the waiter the issues with the dish and he returned to say the chef apologised and dessert was on him, handing us two dessert menus. My Dad didn’t really want a dessert and was kind of over the whole experience after the disappointing main course, when the waiter returned I told him he didn’t want one and just wanted a Cappuccino instead and ordered my choice of dessert. When the bill arrived the cappuccino was still charged to it? The total of the two items would have still been £10 less than the terrible main course. We didn’t even want a freebie but the waiter offered! Trying to get their attention (again) to finally pay the bill was another 10 minute challenge. Service really needs to be improved, it really wasn’t worth the £77 bill for just two people.

Best restaurant I've been to for as long as I can remember!

Amazing prawn bruschetta very well balanced with chilly and olive oil. A superb ensemble to start your dinner and to finish off a stressful week. Beautiful and relaxing place managed by a vibrant Italian staff who look after you with the smile always on! We will come back for sure!!!!!

Staff were all very nice Service very slow Starters took 40 minutes to be served - We could see them sat under the lamps for 15 minutes Mains took even longer and even then Margherita pizza under cooked and mozzarella wasn’t even cooked - not worth waiting over an hour for ! Expensive for the experience

45+ mins wait for food for two people, service could be better too. The Pizza Capricciosa was mostly just tasting like a tomato? would give it a 2/5. However, The spaghetti carbonara was a show stopper, an absolute gorgeous bowl of spaghetti. Would genuinely come back and wait 40 mins again for this dish. Would also advise that it is very good value for money if you get the correct items. (don't get the bruschetta). Overall, i enjoyed the food and atmosphere so i would come again

Came here for my partner's birthday and had a lovely evening. Really lovely food, very obliging and friendly staff. Would recommend sitting nearer the back as the front is a little drafty by the door. Definitely recommend the duck and the seabass, and I'm told the hazelnut espresso martini was good. Dessert was just perfect!

As a longstanding Piccolino's loyalist - I've had cause to be over Thorpe Park way in recent months - and naturally made Picolo's my go to for business meets. Service, team, food - atmosphere has been nothing short of exceptional. For me - works for pretty much every situation - quiet solo lunch, family or corporate. That's a tough balance to achieve - but it does. Love it.

Came for evening meal with a large group. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Waitresses were helpful upon arrival getting our drinks order and showing us to our table. Unlike many other restaurants, service for a large group was good. Orders taken and food arrived very quickly. We were asked regularly if we'd like more drinks. Unfortunately the food was the real let down. Foccacia bread for starters was extremely dry and burnt and covered in salt! There was no sign of rosemary, which the menu said it had. Would have been improved if served with balsamic vinegar. The mains unfortunately didn't get any better. Portions were very small. Lasagne came like a bowl of soup. Bolognaise sauce with little meat and just a small piece of lasagne again burnt to the bottom of the dish in the middle. It was served with nothing else. Such a shame the food was poor, cos otherwise a pleasant, welcoming place in a good location.

Popped in today (Sunday) without a reservation and we were accomadated with a table. Food very good, service brilliant and we weren't rushed even though we only had 1 hr as the table was booked out again. Took coffee at the bar. Will go again and this time book

Harry was an enthusiastic, hard worker and a joy to have as our server. He went above and beyond for our large table of 17 and we couldn’t fault him in any way. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for other staff members who criticised him in front of us in an upsetting way. The food was beautiful and the service we received from Harry was outstanding. Staff very friendly and helpful. Seated in atrium which had a nice buzz about it but very drafty. Visited during 50% off promotion - enjoyed our meals but wouldn't have been happy to pay full price for portion size. Wine by glass is expensive (£7.50 for 175ml) but bottle not too bad by today's standards (£24).

The food was really tasty and service was lovely. I have been served twice by our server, Harry in the past week. He is always on the ball and really enthusiastic to ensure you’re having a good time. 10/10 service

Had a lovely family lunch today. It was made extra special by the young man who served ud. He was knowledgeable, friendly and professional.. my Mother inlaw had panecotta and said it was the best she had ever had!!

We have went out for a lunch break to Piccolo as it was one of the restaurant that offered nice vegan/vegetarian food but also had other options available. I must say that I was positively surprised by how good the food turned out. We had Branzino and Pollo Tartufo which even though they looked like small portions, they were really filling but didn't make us bloated. Staff was also really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place but I wouldn't provably be visiting it frequently due to pricing. It is fair but a bit above my budget to make it regular. Update 24/01/24: With the new promotion for January, we have decided to try few more items from menu and we weren't disappointed. Duck literally melted in the my mouth and my friends advised me that steak and fish were amazing as well (see added photos). The desserts were also really good and even after having main course and dessert, we still felt amazing and ready for more albeit we run out of time and had to go back. I was also really surprised by the back which I haven't seen before but you can see as the food is cooking and there is even stove which I believe is for making pizzas (again, see photos). We plan to bring more colleagues from office next week and will definitely try some more amazing dishes.

I came here quite often cuz the food is always delicious. I tried quite a few and none of them disappointed me. The staffs are all nice and work well. Definitely recommend the place!!!

We’ve just had our small works festive menu do. Food was lovely, staff were excellent- very enjoyable. We were in at 3pm so it was a little quiet but still a lovely atmosphere

Myself and partner decided to eat there for lunch, it was a disappointment, my pizza margherita was without taste In fact bland, I had a glass of chardonnay, not good, tasted more like pinot. My partner was equally dissatisfied, he left half of his meal, the staff were very nice, the decor was beautiful very clean. But the food left much to be desired. We will not be going back.!

The food is ok, not amazing but not bad either. It’s pretty pricey for what it is and during a lunch service took ages to arrive on the table. The restaurant was barely full too, unsure how they’d cope with every table being booked.

Waited ages for both food courses. Both the prawn bruschetta starter and prawn and courgette linguine for main were really bland and only given flavour by some calabrese chilli from another diner’s pizza. The young guy who served us was great but the wait between courses was crazy long.

For the money this was really disappointing, hopefully it was a bad day! Probably would never come back as I’d need to remortgage first.

Two out of three courses were ok. As a real ale lover, I would appreciate the addition of a decent beer. The service from Katerina was exceptional. We ate here again today and were greeted by the amiable Giorgio. My wife was very happy with her sea bass and said the sauce was tasty but her courgettes were cold. The skin on my “slow cooked crispy duck” was anything but. It was soft and limp. Maybe don’t call it “crispy “ on the menu. But overall a pleasant experience.

First time today to celebrate my friends birthday 🎂. Lovley meal steak was excellent as the rest of food will go again on my birthday, or special occasion

Bang average food. Francos over the road from this restaurant is miles better. Would not return. The outside space is decent in good weather.

We visited as a large family group as a birthday celebration. The service was poor, long wait for food and one order was wrong, resulting in one member of the group waiting considerably longer for a main course. I have the club individual app and made the staff aware of this. Nearly three weeks later I still haven't received my reward points from what was an extremely substantial bill! Despite contacting them twice, they are still "looking into it". Not a great experience. Mediocre food, poor restaurant service and even worse customer service from club individual.

2nd visit here and not disappointed. Food was superb, staff are brilliant. Would definitely recommend and will have no hesitation returning.

I visited Piccolo at The Springs on 16/08/2023 and was extremely disappointed with my overall experience. I ordered Pizza MARINARA San Marzano - tomato, garlic,, oregano & basil, when the dish arrived I was given a tomato garlic bread. Had that been the description on the menu I would have ordered something else. When I questioned the dish, the Manager offered me an alternative, 'Classic Margarita', not patronising at all. The replacement dish came under cooked, no fresh basil and again very disappointing. Following my complaint, the waitress was sullen to the point of being rude and i felt very uncomfortable. I have eaten there many times before and have always enjoyed the experience, however this is the first time I have complained and the staff response in dealing with the situation was disappointing, nearing rude.

Always a pleasure eating here, staff can’t do enough for you and the food is always great, great selection of wine also.

Lovely lunch here today. Food was nice, better than other Italian chain restaurants. Service was excellent, very attentive and went out of their way to provide great service. We were sharing a pizza and burger and they offered to cut it into 2 for us. They went an extra step and served a half portion each on 2 plates. Despite only being a few tables in, the atmosphere was great too.

We went to piccolo by piccolino yesterday with an intention to eat pizza but seeing the menu we have changed our mind and went with “carbonara” this turned out to be the perfect choice, we have specifically asked for the original Italian version without the cream and the chef honoured our request, pancetta was the perfect level of crispness and the whole dish was as they say in Italy “strepitoso”. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, the service was very very nice. The food amazing. Really looking forward to dine there again soon

This restaurant is perfect. Staff are so obliging and friendly. Food was the nicest meal I have had in a restaurant.

Went to Piccolo for a spontaneous lunch with boyfriend. Ordered the VEAL MILANESE , which was extremely bland. I explained this to them, and they were extremely attentive and kind to get my main course changed. I resulted in getting the hunter's chicken, and this was not so great either. . . The reason for the 5-star rating is that my partner really enjoyed his pizza, he said it's the best one he's ever had. My sides were amazing, and my starter was light and nice too. It's unfortunate about my mains, but the restaurant was extremely polite and understanding. Taste is subjective, and they were more than willing to accommodate my needs. I gave up getting a main after my second attempt, as I needed to get going, however they were also happy to bring out fresh sides, as they were worried that the sides were going to get cold when we were waiting for my second main choice. I declined as there's no need. When paying they explained that they had not charged for the sides, which I was not expecting, and was happy to pay for. When leaving, my partner and I had a brief discussion about the mains, and he was so apologetic, which I appreciated, but was further explained the reason the VEAL MILANESE is cooked the way it did. The manger ended up getting us a pizza to go for free, which again, I did not expect, but was soooo appreciated of their attentiveness and care for the customers. I did pay the service fee, as regardless of not eating the mains, my partner enjoyed his, and the staff were so kind. Overall great experience from this restaurant. :)

The food was amazing, piping hot just how it should be.

First time here, really enjoyed it, food prices are really good. They have daily deals on which we will be trying out. We both left full and satisfied staff are all friendly and very smiley. Negatives are when we was seated my plate had some sticky stuff on it which was alittle offputting at first, the staff dont know that when you have your knife and folk apart it means you are not finished we had to stop the waitress taking our food. The bottles of beer are expensive you should just get a pint. We will be coming again though

We celebrated Mother's Day in Piccolo and we really enjoyed the food. It was very busy lunch time so atmosphere wasn't great but lovwly food and good service compensated everything. 5*pizza, excellent wine and good desserts.

So glad there's a Piccolo here, used to go a very popular Piccolino in Cheshire until I move away. Piccolo continuous the tradition of serving delicious food with great service.

Just been for a quick lunch lovely main course but found a hair in my chocolate truffles put me right off. Only had an apology and they are bought in, don't believe that. Might be giving it a miss now.

Their bambini eat free is misleading, you have to be in some club to get it. Food was good, service wasn't so good. Would've been nice if we'd have been offered a highchair without having to ask having been ignored by our server. As soon as we were seated she was in a hurry to get our orders. You ought to have a little more patience with families with babies and toddlers. Just didn't find them friendly at all, in fact our presence seemed an inconvenience and then to top it off we paid £50 for two adults and a toddler. None of us had a starter or a dessert and we had soft drinks. Won't be visiting again. Appalling compared to their Ilkley restaurant which is exceptional. We thought it'd be similar. We only went for a treat for our anniversary and left very disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous food. Very authentically Italian and far far better than when it was a Gino's. Really enjoyed it. Great service too by lovely Italian waiters..

We as family love Piccolo.. The ambience and service is immaculate.. Food is really good and very tasty.. I have tried a mixture and dishes as I have been here quite a few times and I can say, each and every one of them have left me go yummmm.. My favourites are wild mushroom risotto and Panna cotta (dessert).. We recommended this place to our family too and they loved their food too. We will be definitely going again and again...and totally recommend this place for people to try too.

Dead restaurant and wouldn't seat us

Had an enjoyable experience here the other night. Thought the prices were very reasonable, the food was tasty and the service was friendly and quick. It was a little too loud due to the nature of the building, but other than that no complaints.

Lovely staff, great food. They only had space at the bar for me and was still very comfortable. I had the garlic bread with cheese for a starter, I was expecting a small piece but it was huge, like a pizza, ended up taking some away which they were happy to do. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection, they were happy to upgrade my fries to truffle fries and amazing tenderstem broccoli. Would definitely recommend, great place.

Booked a table for my wife's birthday evening meal. The service (Ylenia and the rest of the team) was excellent, friendly and helpful. Even when we were delayed waiting for our daughter to join us after work for dessert they were understanding and let us keep the table. The food and drink were great too, and the ambience and decor just the same. It was a bit noisy being a Thursday evening shortly before Xmas but that was understandable. Overall an enjoyable experience thank you. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

By far the best Italian meal we have had in some time, served pipping hot and tasted amazing! Service was also excellent.

Super average food verging on not good enough, not cheap either - £4.25 for 750 ml of water - such a shame. Also never a fan when tip included auto, always tip, but it’s my choice!

Waited an hour for a table, Me and my friend had really bad stomach all night . I had chicken and she had sea-bass, a shame cause it’s normally great.
