La Piazza Del Coffee in Sheffield

Myself and partner came here for lunch before heading over to mini. I ordered a penne carbonara. When it arrived it was scrambled eggs with ham and pasta. Can honestly say it was the worst carbonara I have ever had. The moment it was put down all I should smell was microwaved eggs. I tried one bit and had to send it back. Very disappointing. Lady serving was lovely about the situation however I was totally put off by the food and didn’t order anything else. I wouldn’t recommend and I wouldn’t go back.

Great food, lovely staff. Really nice and authentic food, hidden away in Brightside. Always a good place to go.

Last minute trip to Sheffield booked in at Ibis budget hotel. This place is a gem surrounded by fast food chains . Great Pizza with lovely crisp thin base and genuine imported Italian ingredients. Friendly and very pleasant staff. An unexpected but very good discovery

Found this restaurant before visiting Sheffield. Called in for a pizza, which was as good as I expected from earlier reviews. Freshly cooked to order of course. It was large, but I did manage to eat it all , just. Washed down with a pint of Moretti. The following day i had planned to visit a chippy that is also well recommended, but they were closed @ 8pm when I visited, so had no choice but to enjoy a second meal here @ La Piazza.

A good breakfast, well priced and served very quickly. Really handy they also have on site parking and outdoor seating for warmer weather!

We love this place. The food is basic Italian fare, done superbly. The chef apparently imports flour for that proper Italian flavour. The staff are very lovely and friendly. The food represents great value for money, because the quality is so good. Please support this independent business.

I visit here with my dad on our way back from visiting at the hospital. Lovely food & coffees, very friendly staff & lovely atmosphere

Was at La Piazza for a breakfast [business] meeting - rather than lunch or dinner. Really enjoyed the good coffee and croissants that I had, There were bacon sandwiches available but in deference to my waist-line I did not have one and so cannot directly comment. I understand that those who did partake enjoyed them Nice friendly staff - so a good visit.

My husband and I always visit this place when we're in Sheffield. They use great ingredients and the ciabattas are yummy. Great coffee too. Worth a detour if you're in the Meadowhall area, or (in fact) if you're anywhere near Sheffield.

My husband and I made our second and last trip to La Piazza today.Our first trip was a more positive experience where we ordered pizzas, but today’s visit was a total turn off! We both ordered omelettes from the breakfast menu that was on the counter and one tea and one latte. The bill came to £15.10. Whilst awaiting our food I checked the prices on the menu and realised we had been overcharged as the tea should have been £2 and the latte £2.50. I went to the counter and took this up with a member of staff who brusquely told me that the paper menus are out of date and the actual prices were on the laminated menus on the table, the tea now being £2.50 and the Latte £3. On checking the table menu I saw that all the drinks prices had been Tippexed out and new prices attempted in pen. The new prices were illegible as Tippex is designed to cover paper not laminate. If menus are out dated they should be disposed of and any professional organisation would have invested in new menus so customers know exactly where they stand when ordering.

Just called in for a coffee and a pint, both were very nice, nice little sun trap! Fab service :) :) :)

Absolutely without a daught on of the best Italian restaurants in Sheffield the place is beautiful with so much attention to detail the food really is spectacular and such nice friendly service I'm a regular there

Well Reading the reviews I can O ky assume it's the place for lunch or pizzas we were forced through circumstances to have breakfast the food itself was very nice but the bread was cold and doughy and butter was a solid block and unspreadable. The tea was not very nice one left so 50% on that.The price seamed odd that all the official menus all over the restraunt state £2.00 for tea but on a board out of view next to the toilet (with no light) says £2.50 this was pointed out when we questioned the bill. It was also a shame their not on the eat out to help out scheme as yet so £16 for 2 breakfasts is a bit top end. So give it a miss before lunch time that's my view as place is OK and staff are lovely

Just dropped in to pick up a couple of takeaway coffees as I’d heard they make good coffee. They were incredibly friendly and really good, I can see it’s well managed with attention to detail. Really good coffee and will be back for some food as it’s very spacious inside.
