Tried to book for Saturday but only answering machine with no response. Went round to find restaurant closed, being refurbished and under new management!

We have just had a lovely time at this place which we believe is under new management. We can't describe our experience any better. To start with, the service was excellent and professional. The food was the tastiest we ever had in Sheffield for a very long time, well cooked and beautifully presented. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and we highly recommend trying this place out as it is really really good.

We all enjoyed our various dishes. Fantastic food, great family staff. The service was so relaxed and friendly and just added to the quality food. Will be returning soon.

Been coming here 40 yrs.Brought the kids after soccer for dinner twice a week for yrs. True family style. Live in Castro valley now but the drive is worth it. Especially if you want hand cut French fried zucanni. A meal,itself. I have tried zucchini through out the bay area and haven't found the large fresh portionssize anywhere. Most of the time the zucanni is frozen.Try them well worth it.

I had not eaten pasta in weeks and fancied a change, so one afternoon I left for work slightly early intending to drop into a cheapish Italian restaurant and have a quick meal on my way in. That cheapish Italian restaurant ended up being Dinos, after trying unsuccessfully at several other places (Sharrow Vale's restaurants are quite expensive).

Wish I could give six stars to this place. We had a very nice meal (simple food done really, really well) and at the end someone on the other table spoke to us about his recent drag queen experiment - didn't bother us at all but the waiter very kindly gave us a couple of free drinks to compensate (including the extremely tasty Amarula!) For great customer service, a nice ambience, and quality food - head to Dino's.

Me llevé a mi marido aquí después de disfrutar de una gran noche con amigos hace un par de meses. Me quedé muy decepcionado. El pollo que pedí no estaba preparado en el medio y era muy de queeky 'cortar en los extremos. Me pareció que el pollo había sido procesados de alguna forma (mal estado/textura. El postre pannacotta) habría preparado más hábilmente por mi nieto de 6 años de edad. No hace falta decir que no vamos a volver.

Having visited here in Dec 2016 & been delighted we were disappointed with our 2nd visit. MSG's are clearly added to the food here & we didn't expect this, sorry but need to leave out the mono-sodium-glutonate.

Beautiful food, great value and such friendly service. The fresh fish is always fabulous with Sea Bass being one of my favourites. Will visit time and time again

El servicio era fantástico pero la comida era horrible, odio tener que escribir una crítica nunca he pero yo estaba tan decepcionado. Tuve bruschetta de empezar y los tomates deben haber estado apagado dejaron un horrible sabor de boca. Entonces me tenía pollo y el jamón que estaba en la era literalmente un pedazo cuadrado de jamón de un paquete probablemente compradas en Sainsburys por la carretera. He dejado el restaurante aún hambre! Mi novio tuvo el calzone que estaba bien, pero pequeña. No me puedo quejar del servicio, pero la comida que recibi no fue la pena la visita:

Visiting my son at Sheffield University he booked us a table at Dino's and all I can say is it is probably the best Italian restaurant I have visited. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very relaxing. There was something on the menu that would suit all tastes and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. I would highly recommend Dino's and would definitely return.

I went to Dino's tonight with my mum and my brother who were visiting Sheffield, the food was amazing, every starter main and desert was fantastic, portions are generous and the service is excellent, and on top of all that, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of food and service! Visiting my son at University of Sheffield looked at the many places to eat on Eccleshall road. Booked Dinos and it did not disapoint.Only small but interesting menu and lots of specials. Beautiful fresh flowers on each table. You can BYO wine sunday nights for a small corkage fee which seems a great idea ! All our meals really good and what we saw passing to other tables especially the Calzone looked very good indeed ! I had a Tuna Steak special and it was divine ! My vegetarian daughter had plenty to choose from. The seafood Risotto and pasta both brilliant. Our waitress was faultless ,efficient and friendly turned out she was the owners daughter.Small family run italian which I just wish was In Leeds ! As only small bring your coat as I can imagine sat near the door chilly but not a lot can be done about that !

The staff were very attentive and it was a very good menu. This was an enjoyable evening which we all complimented and won't hesitate to return!

Excellent food and service, will definitely return when next in Sheffield. We have tried many restaurants in this city and Dino's is by far the best.

Went to this restaurant Saturday 28/1/17 for birthday party 8 people.Reservation made 3 weeks in advance with requests not to sit back of room NEAR TOILETS & KITCHEN DOOR and confirmed on taking the booking.Rang again to confirm week before then again day before.Arrived on time to find the restaurant almost full with one long table set for us"YES you guessed"back of the room we go.After remonstrating with the manager we got nowhere.I'm afraid apologies,and free fizzy drink declined is no replacement for a poor booking service Anyhow been many times before in 2s&4s and food is always ok. Just not as good with sweet smell of disinfectant & a very active kitchen swing door.There's better organised places for your party £££.00

We had dinner there on the 27th of December. It was very quiet after the rush of the season. Very nice food although the crespelle I ordered had just melted in to the rest of the food so I couldn't even see it. The calzone was very nice. My favourite was the starter Fungi Al Forno. Nice ambiance and the music was not too loud which is just right.

My wife and I have passed this restaurant many times and never managed a visit. But last night we rang up and they managed to find us a table for two at short notice. The hospitality and the food was excellent . We shall return very soon.

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed, had steak on our last isit, Dino said he had engaged a new butcher and recommended the steak, it was great.

I walked past Dino's some weeks ago & liked the ambient lighting: it looked cosy! The actual evening was great, nice food (except over-cooked liver starter), & good service. I would defo go here again.

Went to Dino's this evening with my son and we had a delightful experience, staff were friendly and attentive and our meals of lasagne and meat calzone were very tasty and freshly made. We will definitely be going back soon.

The food is great however the service is poor:We had to wait a while to be offered an initial drinkThe waiter took the wine list off me after we did order a pre dinner drink without asking if I was ordering wine. The restaurant is quite pleasant and welcoming. However the food is basic. My prawn and salmon tagliatelle contained only prawns, I couldn't find any salmon. The portion was tiny. Luckily I ordered some sides. My partner had fish from the specials board. He enjoyed it but again there wasn't much with it, just a few veg. We left feeling a little disappointed and therefore won't be going back.

Really lovely three course meal, nice atmosphere midweek, excellent welcome and service. Highly recommended!!

This is a small restaurant serving mainly Italian food and quite biased to fish. The surroundings, staff and food were excellent and all 6 of us had no complaints at all. We have been before and will definitely keep on visiting. The only drawback, but not a criticism really, was that you can't take your own wine on a Saturday, but there aren't many places that do allow that anyway.

This is the second time that I have visited this restaurant and hopefully not the last as the food and service was first class and I would recommend this to anyone, I had the garlic bread for starters and the spaghetti bolognaise for main and both were outstanding, the staff were helpful and friendly and the party I was with all agreed it was an excellent night all round

We decided to treat ourselves after watching The Kinks musical. We were in a bit of a rush but it was worth it. Food was lovely as always, my cheesecake was divine and the service excellent. It is a lovely place to have a meal and the food is very good. It was a Saturday night and they were turning people away.

Friday night is pizza night. And this was a really excellent one. Even without Dale and Becky the staff were really friendly and helpful, the ambience is cosy and relaxed. Thank you Dinos. Our only request would be a small portion of bread with the starters. Of course we'll be back.

Outrageous and unfriendly waiter ! The waitress was friendly .I expected homemade dessert and starter! A fault!The main dish was ok, I had some fish with prawns, but i had to search the prawns, they were little shrimps from a deep frozen packet!Anyway I didn't want to recommend this restaurant!

My boyfriend and I have dedicated this place to be our official special date night spot! We love the service and everything on the menu. Everything taste so fresh and the atmosphere is so great. We went here on our first valentines and it was perfect. I can't think of a better Italian I have ever been to. The lamb was delicious and the calzone is to die for. Love!

Ate again last night at this wonderful Italian Bistro on Ecclesall road The food is wonderful the choice for such a small establishment fantastic and the staff and service beyond words. We often try something different and are never disappointed .There are always some interesting specials on the board as well as the printed menu.Well worth our journey across town and our friends journey in from Derbyshire WELL DONE GUYS xxx Last night was no exception couldn't fault it but don't just take my word for it TRY IT

We visited here last night for a private family/friends party. It was my nephews surprise 30th birthday. The staff could not have been any more helpful. One of the party was in a wheelchair, and as theres no ramp we needed a hand getting through the door- the chef ran to our aid helping lift the wheelchair in. The food was fab. 38 clean plates!! The restaurant itself is a lovely place for either a celebration or just a meal for 2. There was a lot of us to feed all at once, but the staff coped brilliantly. Service amazing. Everyone had a lovely evening. We will return.

When we return to Sheffield we like to meet up on ecclesall road with old Sheffield friends for a meal, generally Italian. I now think we have found our new favourite place. It was pouring outside but we got a warm welcome from the staff. Bread and olives waiting on the table, a good menu and loads of specials. Good portions but not over the top. Cooked fresh and not too quickly served. Bring your own wine. The food was great, we all had something different , three of the party are veggies and they were happy. No room for a pudding. Great value and we will be back. Must say the young girl that looked after us was lovely and natural.

Great place, Great atmosphere, from the moment we walked in the staff were attentive and helpful, olives and bread to wet our appetite six of us and the starters were very good and a insight to the standard of the food served here,we all had different main courses and without exception were excellent.the reputation of this restaurant is not wrong will be going again soon

We love this restaurant, it's bring your own wine and the food is so good! There's olives and bread for the table, free of charge and the staff are so friendly and really make the effort.

We visited Dino's last night for a private family party, WOW it was amazing, So busy lots of guests but still produced amazing food. Outstanding service, We were celebrating my sister and her husbands 30th wedding anniversary, My steak was cooked to perfection. We had been to Dino's in February also for a family celebration and food then was just superb, Just wished we lived nearer, I am sure when we visit my sister and husband we will come visit again, Thank you once again for an amazing night x

Visited to celebrate a birthday with a friend and her young son. Food good, very accommodating and polite staff. However, the portion of vegetable given for two seemed a bit small so ordered extra if you like your veg, and no sign of a pudding menu and none offered so not sure if they do desserts or not!Will definitely be back though!

We visited here for a treat with friends and although they don't have a children's menu they where more than happy to do any meal on the menu a children's size or and alternative you can think of that relates so they made just a cheese pasta for my son. The staff where super helpful and explained menus, and they were very efficient and attentive to our needs. They brought the food.out quickly and it was lovely, and not too badly priced what was better was even after paying the staff where helpful and wished us a safe trip home.

The atmosphere is cosy with tables close together but without any intrusion from other tables. The food is excellent. The young couple who do front of house are attentive, professional, well informed and welcoming. A consistently lovely evening.

This restaurant never disappoints. The welcome is warm, the service professional and friendly and the food excellent. The white linen tablecloths add to the ambience and the menu is wide and varied. It is a jewel.

Booked two tables for 6pm, from the minute I made the booking the staff were lovely. Table for 3 Mums and a table for five 12 year old girls for my daughter's birthday meal. The staff couldn't of been more attentive and lovely, the food was gorgeous and the place is a very nice airy space. The prices are fair and the fare delicious. I would recommend this to anyone and YES I will be back!

Delightful olives gratis and attentive but not over the top staff. As old far☆ts we now have smaller àppetites and had wonderful garlic bread wìth tomato for starters to share then pasta with bacon and I had pollo romana. Beautifully cooked. Panna cotta the best I'd ever had. Amaretto portion a bit measly but we'll go mon to thurs next time and we'll bring our own.Husband who is awkward enjoyed his so we'll be back.

I have been several times and have always received a warm welcome even if they are really busy and the staff are very helpful. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu and if you fancy the sauce from another dish with your meat or fish, then they will accommodate you. The food is mostly delicious but sometimes the fish is a bit overcooked. The pizza bases are not very nice (a bit like a standard "bought in base") but the toppings are lovely. They are a bit mean with the bread and butter. The starter and mains portions are generous though. I have not tried their desserts. You can take your own wine during the week, which keeps the bill down. This is a great favourite of mine.

I've been here several times. It's just round the corner, but so are several places I'm not going back to. Food is good; more interesting menu than you often get with an Italian. Nice specials board, often with good seafood choices. Shot but respectable wine list, but in midweek you can bring your own. Service is always friendly and helpful.

The food is great. In fact we considered this restaurant as one of the best we have been to in England during our holidays. We tried their seafood pasta, lentil soup and baby calamari, they were delicious. The person who served us was very cheerful and attentive.

This restaurant is not hard to get to but parking may be difficult during busy times as it is on a street and doesn't have its own car park. The food is delicious! I had chicken with ham and melted cheese in a tasty tomato sauce and my boyfriend had swordfish which is actually really nice. The lady who served us was really nice and the food came quickly as it wasn't busy. There was complimentary bread and butter and the place was decorated very quaintly, not too OTT. For a 3 course meal with two drinks, two mains and a shared starter, it came to £55 - we have been to other places where a shared starter, two mains and two drinks have cost more than that so the prices aren't too bad. I would recommend that you call them to reserve a table as my email to them got missed. Would definitely visit again.

Spent a lovely evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. Good selection of food including a specials board with extra treats. Starters included baby calamari, scallops etc which were both delicious. Had chicken with porcini mushrooms and choice of veg or salad for main. Very tasty. There was ten of us but we all had good service and food. Will definitely come again.

We can highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff very polite, attentive and friendly. It was a birthday treat for my partner and it was just a perfect evening. It took us an hour to drive to this restaurant but it was well worth it and we will be definitely be making a return visit.

We have visited Dino's several times since it opened but there has been a gap of some 6 months since out last visit. We were not disappointed. The staff are very efficient, friendly and not 'in your face'. The food is superb, although the fish on the specials board is a tad expensive. However, this does not detract from what is a competitively priced main menu with a great range of standard Italian dishes. the dessert menu is short and not over complicated which makes choosing that little bit easier. Give it a try!

Visited with family including two young kids. The staff could not have been more helpful. Plenty of options for the kids even though no children's menu. Lovely food, our table really enjoyed the king prawns, lasagna, chicken on mushrooms, swordfish and pizza. Tiramisu and profiteroles for dessert were excellent too. Wine and coffee really good. Will definitely be back as a couple and family.

Went in group of 9, hadn't been before and pleasantly surprised. Waitering staff were excellent and had good knowledge of the restaurant. Had fried calamari for starter which was perfectly cooked. Chicken dish for main was also good with generous sides. Will come back again.

My family party of twelve visited Dino's in February for a family get-together. Everything went extremely well, from the food and wine to the service - it was all excellent

Totally agree with all the 5 star ratings already given. The service, price and most importantly the food are all first class. Every dish our party had from the mussles, baby squid or lambs liver starters to the chicken and salmon, chicken Romano or calzone mains were excellent. Thanks for a really enjoyable evening.

Dropped in here without a reservation on a Wednesday evening and fortunately they were able to accommodate us. Not a large restaurant but a nice buzz to it & very friendly attentive staff - a family run business.Special boards were full of fresh dishes of the day with a good selection of fish. The staff were on hand to offer any details about the menu.The meal was very enjoyable, I had the lemon sole with fresh veg and the feta salad as a starter. All washed down with a bottle of Amerone (delicious!)Reasonably priced and a warm welcome, I can see that this is restaurant would have regular visitors.I would visit again when next in Sheffield for sure.

Small, independent Italian restaurant with lots on offer other than pizza and pasta. A good range of fish, seafood, meat and chicken dishes.Excellent staff who were pleasant, very knowledgeable and accommodating.Good quality food and wine. A quiet, calm atmosphere. There are a lot of similar restaurants in the area. Food at Dino's was of a high standard and my risotto marinara was absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, staff very friendly. Well worth a visit

The pong of dung and socks should be enough of a hint that mussels are bad, but unfortunately the chef was oblivious to this. Two of us sent our starters of mussels back and chose whitebait and calamari rings. These two plates were beautiful. Our second course came out, and four of us had these same mussels in our food. Luckily mine were on a pizza and were easily enough removed. Unfortunately the other two dishes had mussels throughout and the pong had pervaded - especially in the seafood spaghetti. The staff seemed in denial that there was a real issue with the mussels, repeatedly saying the were fresh yesterday, this morning, this afternoon - and showed us the box (which bizarrely enough were stored in a 'chicken breast' container)I eat mussels very regularly and have no doubt about it that they were bad. The service was good enough, and we did get a discount off the bill, but it's still disappointing to be told that as customers, we are wrong. I work in the hospitality industry and would not dream of arguing with a customer. The ambiance was great and the other customers seemed to be very happy. The mussels should have been taken off the menu for the remainder of the evening and I hope that no one else ate them.

We've been back and again had a perfect Pasta. Not only the Pasta was cooked to perfections ,the seafood that came with it was generous. It's a family ran very friendly restaurant with nice atmosphere.Can highly recommend it.

Went for my birthday with family. My family were dubious due to the frontage looking more cafe like. I assured them it will be great (going on a previous visit). Nobody was disappointed. Excellent food. Good service. I feel they have a bit too much choice on the special menu but this is just a personal opinion.

So 12 of us turned up 6 adults and 6 children on Friday night and were greated by the staff which we later found out was brother , sister, mum and dad. They were attentive to our requests and guided us through the menu. Overall a lovely restaurant , great staff and delicious food. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting good food , professional service and an ambient restaurant.

Staff are courteous and setting is perfect. Food is generally good and this is one of our favourite places to come on a date. Only thing lacking is dessert, was small and felt overpriced!

Efficient polite and friendly well paced service. All dishes well cooked. No rush to leave table (booked for 8.15). Deserts indifferent. House wine pleasant. Group given comp liqueurs. Nice touch. Watch out for the price of specials though - overpriced and diners not informed!

We dined here last night, a party of four, and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The first table we were offered wasn't quite right for us, and we were immediately offered two other choices, one of which was ideal.The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times, and gave just the right amount of time for us to choose our food - we all chose different food which was interesting to compare.All I can say is, the starters, mains, and desserts were all out of this world.The atmosphere was very relaxed, and every table was taken at one point.We didn't feel rushed, and I could hardly believe the bill when it arrived.Lets just say it was excellent value for money.It is a pity the exterior looks so uninviting, but don't be put off, for once inside you will be transported into a smart, modern, friendly family restaurant where nothing is too much trouble.We will be back !

We were looking for somewhere for an early dinner and fancying Italian, we chose Dino's after having read the reviews. As it was the week before Christmas, the struggled to find a table, but managed to squeeze us in at 6.30 pm. This was OK for us, as we had wanted to eat early. The only slight disadvantage was that we were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived, so was a little lacking in atmosphere. We understood that, however and we could see that with more customers it would create a warm ambiance.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We would certainly return and sample the delights of Dino's.

Dinos has a frontage that's VERY easy to miss. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn't go inside. The food is truly wonderful, with well cooked and presented plates of food to the attentive and friendly waiting staff. I really can't praise this place enough. We had a table of 6 but none of us waited too long for our food, the service was first class.Go there, you really won't be disappointed.

Small cosy restaurant, food was excellent and so were staff - nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again now we know where it is (little hard to see in the dark - could do with a lit sign outside). Lovely atmosphere - good for friends but also nice for couples.

This place is lovely, family owned, friendly, good atmosphere and excellent quality ingredients cooked fresh to order. I could have cut my steak with a butter knife. You can byo wine sun-thur too! Similar price to some of the chain based Italians but 100% better. Will visit again definitely.

Visiting Sheffield for the weekend my husband and I read the reviews for this restaurant and were lucky enough to get a table for Saturday evening as long as we could eat early. The food and the service were both excellent and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly. Well cooked and good quality at a very reasonable price. Less than £60 for a three course meal and wine for two of us. Would certainly go again when next in Sheffield.

What a wonderful, cosy,friendly restaurant. We booked two days before we went and were very lucky to get a table.Saturday at 7pm and the place was full.The waitress was very knowledgeable and described all the dishes on the specials board in great detail.All the staff were friendly and helpful. As everything is cooked fresh they are able to adjust any ingredients that you may or may not want. It will now be one of our regular places to eat, mid week as a couple or weekends with friends and family.Definitely on celebration days too.

Our friends took us here midweek and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to see somewhere which was busy during the week. The inside is much more welcoming than it looks from the outside and the staff were friendly too. The meals were really nice and the chicken dishes ordered came on hot plates and the portions were generous too. Take your own wine means you can go midweek for a meal and not spend too much money although I wouldn't mind paying for wine there either.

We went with our daughter, her husband and the two grandsons. Absolutely superb meal enjoyed by everyone. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Wii go again, hopefully with my twin brother and his wife when they visit us in December. Good value too

We went here on a Saturday night and were very lucky to get the last table available. The food was very good, the service was efficient, but not to the point that you felt rushed. The house red wine was perfectly acceptable and is a litre bottle....I wasn't expecting that!I had the pasta putanesca which is one of those lovely simple dishes that I adore but is so easy to get wrong that there's nowhere to hide when cooking it. I'm happy to say that it was one of the best I've tasted and they let me have spaghetti instead of pasta (I just prefer it that way.)The other meals at the table were equally well presented and everyone was happy with their choices.I'd recommend phoning early if you want to eat here on a Saturday night....We were very lucky I think.

Staying in Sheffield just for the one night to visit our student son we all fancied an Italian. Checked trip advisor and Dino's was closest. What a great choice. The restaurant looked so homely and busy upon arrival. A warm welcome was followed by some olives and bread whilst we perused the menu. The specials looked tempting but me and the boy settled for a shared garlic bread with tomato and chili. It was excellent. The wife had some prawns and mushrooms baked in the oven and said it was delicious. Good start. Despite waiting a short while for the mains they were worth it. Sirloin Pepe Verde and two pasta dishes were all piping hot and very tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces clearly homemade and full of flavour. The steak was good,not outstanding but the pepper sauce was terrific. If I was to suggest one thing it would be to offer veg and fries rather than one or the other. All in all an excellent meal in an extremely welcoming place. We will return.

We had to rejig our plans (families, eh!) and managed to get a table at Dino's for four on Friday night. The small restaurant looked gorgeous, the service was excellent and the food, chosen from the specials boards, was delicious and appetizingly presented. All four mains were lovely and the desserts were truly special. We shared two whitebait starters between three, but could have managed one each! All this, plus drinks, came to £116 which was such good value. Even the chocolates that came with the bill were nice. We will be returning very soon.

Went to Dino's again tonight. This is our favourite Italian restaurant in Sheffield. Absolutely lovely food and service. We shared a garlic and tomato pizza bread to start and it is authentic and really tasty My main course - seafood spaghetti is the best I've had anywhere! There's a specials board with lovely fish dishes. Great value mid week, with BYO wine. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for a lovely meal. Claire and Saskia.

Been to this restaurant on two occasions, once mid week and then again on a Saturday. Service excellent, food superb.

Ate here last Friday evening, table of 8 including 2 children, very pleasant waiter, food was lovely and plenty of choice, no actual kids menu but no problem with them choosing pizza and pasta dishes, restaurant was busy but not crowded and good waiting time for food to arrive, everyone enjoyed the food, only negative is I'm sure the creme brûlée was shop bought as wasn't very tasty but we all enjoyed the evening, will definitely return !

The staff were immediaelty attentive with a warm welcome. We were given the time to chat and explore the menu.We were offered advice regarding the specials board and the wine of the month. The staff approach was friendly, professional and left you feeling comfortable to make your decisions on what you wanted to order.We were a party of 6 and everybody felt the standard of the food was exceptional. The range of choice was creative and inviting, the portion sizes were generous and the quality of the flavours and taste experience absolutely made our family celebration. The staff had listened to us when we chatted with them and they topped the evening with a wonderful surprise in celebration of our families combined birthdays and golden wedding anniversary. It was wonderful and my parents were absolutely thrilled for which I thank all the staff. Equally I would chose this restaurant for a quiet private meal. All my family wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant, they will be seeing us much more often.

Went with friends Sunday evening and found the place absolutely bussing. I have to say the brilliant atmosphere did not compromise the standard and quality of the food which can only be described as excellent. Cannot wait for a return visit.
