Me and my boyfriend love a good Kebab Spot but definitely not here! We were on vacation from the Netherlands and decided to take a bite at this terrible place. Simply asked for two Kebab wraps without onions and a side of chips and he immediately got annoyed with the term ‘without’. A customer next to me tried to help me with ‘clarifying’ my order (even tought it was pretty clear) and he had none of it. Understanable it was a Saturday night, but doesn’t excuse the terrible service I received.

Barclays fraud department contacted to say that La Mashera is trying to take £201.99 from your account. We bought one round (5 pints) of drinks for £21.99 which was approved. looking at other reviews it's not the first time. Something going on.

Use have charged me 51.99 for 2 slices of pizza last night please contact me on 07717375387 I would like to be refunded the amount this happend last night

Ordered on ubereats and the order should have been here 40minutes ago and the restaurant is not answering the phone.!!!

Compré una mezcla de pizza combinada y recibí 4 rebanadas FRÍAS, anuncios de envoltorios fríos y rebanadas de pizza. Cuando se le preguntó: "¿por qué anunciaríamos pizza fría?", Me devolvió algo de dinero y luego puso la pizza que devolví a la pantalla. No lo recomendaría! ! !

Really good late night pizzas that you can mix and match quarters of, fair prices (a little bit above average takeaway prices but quality makes up for it!). I know they used to serve takeaway in boxes but I'm unsure now

Terminado mi pizza y esta señora me sirve. Fuimos afuera para un humo entonces ella volvió y permaneció en servir a los clientes usando el mismo guante. No lave su manos cuando regresó por dentro. No vamos allí!

Después de visitar la Iglesia de San Nicolás, mi mejor amigo y yo estábamos buscando un lugar para comer y allí está. Justo en frente de la iglesia (ubicación perfecta!) puede encontrar la Maschera"! El lugar es grande y el personal es muy amable. Probamos el Peri Peri sándwich de pollo y el pesto sandwich. Increíble! Puesto que estamos italiano pensamos que poner la salsa al pesto en un sándwich era algo extraño, pero tan pronto como intentamos que nos subimos en nuestras sillas, era tan bueno! La comida es deliciosa, el personal es estupendo, la ubicación es perfecta! Buen trabajo!

Just left, as a stag do group. Wanted a brew and a bacon sarnie each. Very friendly guy at the till, cheap price and was really nice. If in the town again, I will certainly make it my port of call to start the day.

I went in here for a salad, trying to be healthy. They had very little choice and almost everything was drowned in mayonnaise. I made my selection and my salad box was practically empty, with the sprinkle of lettuce, peppers, tomatoes and when adding roasted vegetables I was given about 2 bits of onion and a slice of courgette. It was fairly cheap £3, but I expected at least a half full salad box. I won't be returning!

I've visited La Maschera four or five times now. I first visited at the end of last year and we had coffee and cake and the service was just wonderful. The next time we called in, they were starting a refurb and couldn't offer a wide variety on the menu but the service was excellent and what we did have was really lovely. We went towards the back end of June this year and they had changed the menu and the food was gorgeous but service was nothing special. We called in a couple of Saturdays ago to have lunch and although the café was empty, we weren't acknowledged. We set ourselves down at a table and looked for a menu as there wasn't one on the table. We had a quick look around and the tables where we were sat were extremely grubby and sticky. We tried to make eye contact with the waitress but she didn't look up at us. Eventually I got up and asked for a menu only to be told that they only served wraps during the day. I asked why as we had really enjoyed our meals before and the waitress stated that they only sell wraps during the day as they stay open all night until 5 the next morning!!! I don't know whether this is the reason for the café looking a lot dirtier than normal but we were really disappointed as my children had been looking forward to their meal. The waitress didn't acknowledge us and just turned back around to what she had been doing before I spoke to her. We decided not to eat there and I went to explain but she didn't seem concerned. It's a shame because we really did like this little café but we won't be returning. It seems that they have done away with the day time business in favour of the night time revellers. Shame.

We'd previously been to La Maschera a few weeks ago and left very satisfied which is why we chose to visit again. Unfortunately, on our second visit it seemed the standards had completely slipped. Firstly, we ordered paninis to which we were told they had none, so they'd be made with wraps instead. This was fine so we agreed. The food was served quickly, but unfortunately everything was completely dripping in oil, to a point that it made the food sickly and indelible- there was a pool of it on the plate. The side salad tasted fishy, despite having no fish on the plate- don't even want to think of the reasoning behind this. The juice we ordered was £1.90 for a small glass of what tasted like very cheap watered down squash- not ideal. All in all, we were disappointed to have our expectations of our first visit completely ruined by a sickening, stomach churning second visit. So much potential for this place too.

Good food and service toilets are awful. No light in gents so had use ladies .which were dusty, dirty and stained. No towels either. Only went in at 12 noon so no excuse.

We got the coffee and cake deal from groupon and thought it would be worth a try and didn't have massive expectations due to having the voucher. We were very impressed with the place. We asked if they had made the carrot cake in-house or if it was store bought. The Waitress confirmed it was made on the premises, and it was one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely return here regardless of a groupon voucher.

Ordered a few things from this little restaurant tonight using Just Eat. The food was okay but it didn't come with the drink that we had paid for. The guy answered the door, handed me the food and walked away before I had a chance to check it over, which I thought was a little bit rude. They never answered the phone. The food was okay though, but from my experience I'd avoid ordering takeaway.

We visited this restaurant today having purchased a groupon voucher for tea and cake. When we arrived we discovered that they did a buffet lunch for £4.95 so decided to give it a go. It was really delicious very good value for money and good variety of pizzas and pastas. The staff were very friendly and polite nothing was a problem. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I went to La Maschera for an early dinner with my husband having purchased a LivingSocial voucher. We didn’t quite grasp that it wouldn’t have a license, perhaps this should have been obvious by the fact it’s a ‘daytime’ café ie 9-5 only, but we were a little disappointed not to be able to have a beer with our meals. The place was extremely quiet when we arrived but it wasn’t really surprising as it was a Tuesday and we had booked the latest possible table. We ordered starters and main courses. The starters were simple – pizza garlic bread with cheese and king prawns – but both were very tasty. Main courses were excellent – I had spaghetti carbonara. It really needed the generous helping of parmesan I was given – I did have to ask for this rather than it being offered automatically, but it wasn’t an issue and it really added to the dish, it was one of the tastiest carbonaras I’ve had in a while. My husband had piri piri chicken which came on skewers, he was very happy with the taste of his meal especially the fragrant rice that came with it. There was a slight inconsistency in the size of the meals though; my husband’s was quite small and he was not hugely full although he enjoyed it a lot, I on the other hand was absolutely stuffed. All in all an odd little place, but the food and service were very good so not a lot to complain about really – I think with a bit of atmosphere which will inevitably improve as the place becomes more well-known, and perhaps an alcohol license? – it could be a little gem.

We had a living social voucher so tried this little eatery for early T although for this little bistro it was nearly closing time ! Although it was nearly empty the interior has a very nice style and very welcoming staff one of which I think was the owner. The starter of calamari was spot on and a lovely garlic bread pizza .. Mains of carbonara penne and chicken arbarita were again excellent. There was a mix up with the mains order but was sorted with no difficulty at all. Think it would be good to try at anytime of day as menu covers most tastes. Will go back

Popped in today whilst out shopping as we had a groupon voucher for coffee n cake. We opened the door and the smell was very inviting. After looking at the menu we decided although not very hungry to try a pizza n ordered a 14" between 3 of us. Pizza was absolutely delicious although too big and the waitress boxed the other half for us to take home. We then had our cakes which were homemade and really tasty, coffee's and hot chocolate was good too. The staff are very friendly and the place is very relaxing and has a nice atmosphere. We wil defiately return, just next time we'll make sure we're hungry so we can sample more of the delicious food on offer :-))

We stopped at La Maschera this lunchtime for the first time. My friends had the buffet lunch and I had a Caesar salad. My salad was lovely and at £4.50 excellent value. My friends had the buffet lunch which was incredible value and they said it was good food too!We were served by friendly and hospitable waitresses and were made to feel very welcome. The vibe is also very good and the decor inviting.We will definitely be stopping by again.

Went with my daughter for a treat. I enjoyed a slice of beautifully presented carrot cake and a cappuccino. Lovely little place, polite staff and menu seemed reasonable.

Me & the boyfriend went here for lunch today. We both chose the buffet, which is unlimited soup, pasta, pizza & salad for £4.95. We were really suprised at the quality of the food for this price. Fresh pizzas, fresh pasta (highly recommend the carbonara!!), very fresh salad bar with a choice of dressings and a homemade soup in a warmer, all ready for you to help yourself. The choices were very basic but ideal for lunch and cant fault it for the price. We both had 2 drinks each aswell and the bill didnt even come to £17. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant, we will be returning soon! Thankyou!

Me and my few friends went to lunch food was really good very fresh also staff was very friendley also very cheap only £4.95 lunch time we will definitely go back there again

Stopped in for lunch only to witness the Manager having a confrontation at the bar with one of the waitressess, after he had finished, she said I won`t be spoken to like that! he then proceeded to sack her, poor girl left in tears, totally spoiled our lunch felt really sorry for the waitress. Not very professional behaviour from the management team.

Stopped in to this restaurant a couple of days after it opened and for £4.95 for salad, pizza and pasta buffet it was pretty good value but was let down by a few pointsfirstly the restaurant is glass fronted and the glass continues around the side leaving not just myself but others around me to comment on how cold it wassecondly there were a couple of small issues with the food, the soup was nice and seemed to be freshly made but was lukewarm although it was difficult to decide if this was from it cooling down in the cold bowls / environment or because the tureen did not keep it at the right temperatureThe pizza also ran out at one point when they were not that busy leading to a bit of a delay in the middle of eating although this could be simple teething issues as they work out how to balance amount of food put out against fairly small numbers of people eating following initial opening lastly although fairly minor it was a pity that there were no salad dressings available as these are pretty cheap in general and would enhance the salad bar.
