The attitude of the lady on the desk was extremely rude. Totally ruined our dinner with friends.
 It is sad to have this restaurant in our community!

Amazing meal, will be back, excellent value for money and staff were excellent. Wine prices good, you must book as very popular.

This place is our local ans in spite of the cramped and not particularly comfortable seating - the place is tiny - the food is delicious. Pizzas are thin crusted and right out of the oven. Other great dishes: the ragu pasta, Swiss chard ravioli, burrata and figs, sea bass. The service can be patchy as the place is so small ans it looks like there is just one chef, but the food is surprisingly excellent.

I don't know where to start here. This is actually the closest restaurant to us, since we are close to the top of the hill. We have resisted coming all these years due to warnings from others. It's been a while since our visit, and I have been pondering what to write. I usually am very detailed in my reviews, in order to be very specific and so that the reader can really get a sense of why something was very good, or not so good. This time I'll be brief - Don't do it. Here's the summary: The owner: The most rebarbative woman you could have the misfortune to come across. Abusive, rude, arrogant and an affront to the hospitality industry. Shameful. The staff are obviously petrified of her, she is clearly a bully as well as a narcissist. The food: Substandard. I think the plate had PTSD. The service: So slow, it is difficult to measure in conventional terms. Continental drift or some other geological measurement would be appropriate. Unless you have a perverse reason to want to be abused, just don't do it.

When I am nearby for work, Luna di Luca is my favorite place to relax with friends. I'm at home there, going there often. I often take a nice Tiramisu and while I work enjoying it nice atmosphere of Italian friendliness. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything.

Nonostante il Lockdown loro erano gli unici aperti in zona avendo un 'ottimo servizio take away. Ho ordinato : Pizza Parma,cotoletta alla Milanese,tiramisù e una Diet Cola. Servizio veloce,tutto troppo buono. Lo chef e tutto lo staff(che ho conosciuto alcuni giorni dopo) gentili e professionali. Ritornerò di sicuro,questa volta sedendomi ai tavoli. Grazie.

We've visited La Luna di Luca twice now and had great meals and good service. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and they keep the music quiet, so it's perfect for having a chat over dinner. It's always nice to be able to look into the kitchens and the waiting time has been fine (about 12 minutes for a course to arrive). We've been worried by the number of negative reviews and we've noted that people say they've had terrible service or that it's hit and miss. We've been on Wednesday and Thursday nights and so far it's been great. Just hoping that the owners have sorted out the service issues so that we can continue to enjoy this restaurant.

It’s a little difficult to rate this place because the food is okay, but it’s quite expensive for what it is, which is a Pizzeria. It’s local to me and we’ve wanted to go for sometime. We enjoyed it but wouldn’t go back They’re understaffed in my opinion so a little slow because of this. The food is nice but not nice enough for the price and the tables just a little too small. Overall the restaurant is very nice but the price is just not worth it IMO.

Solid Sardinian food in this neighbourhood restaurant run by a warm and welcoming hostess. Good range of Sardinian wines. Food is consistently good though the service is sometimes a bit slow. Tables outside are lovely on a warm summer’s evening. And the gorgeous river view over the Thames is just a few hundred yards away.

It used to be one of my favourite places as I love pizza. The food used to be much better quality than now. One day the owner greets you with her fake smile and next time she does not even say hello. Also service is very poor. This Sunday was my last visit.

I am a local to this restaurant and I really appreciate having somewhere independent I can stroll to with my husband and our local friends/neighbours. I have been here a couple of times in the past and each time the service has been getting progressively worse. My most recent visit however takes some beating. Owning and running a restaurant is certainly not for everyone - however if you’re going to open one, the least you can do is make an effort! For goodness sake! . Otherwise, why bother?? It is as if the owner is consciously trying to drive away custom. I just cannot understand it. This is a very residential part of Richmond and so the catchment area for repeat business is potentially extremely large. Not much effort actually need actually be made for the restaurant to packed every night. However with the service my guests and I received today, I can see why it was empty. We will certainly not be returning. The food is mediocre at best so I’m not too upset about giving it a miss in future. These people have no idea what they’re doing.

Very Nice restaurant in Richmond Hill....we went there for a quick meal everything went how expected amazing atmosphere

Good service, small but well executed menu of Italian dishes. The appetisers were good, and the Osso Bucco main was delicious. The ice cream dessert was ok but would skip in future. Only minor criticisms would be pricing - you're in for about £120 for two quite easily, and also the layout/footprint of the restaurant is a bit awkward - long and thin meaning some of the tables are less relaxing due to passing foot traffic. The window table for larger parties is best if you can book it.

I've been eating at this beautiful place in Richmond Hill, and I fell in love with it! true Italian food, genuine flavors and exceptional atmosphere! the place is very nice and the service is impeccable! friendliness and great Italian food! surely it is a place to consider for whenever we want to taste the wonderful Italian cuisine!!!

Excellent food. An authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Richmond. Very friendly staff. What I like particularly is that the food is all made from scratch.

We went for a family dinner and it was some of the best italian food I have eaten in UK: delicious, authentic and very reasonable for the quality & size of portions.

Went to la luna di luca restaurant we had an amazing food experience ,were setting out side because the weather was beautiful we had 4 pizzas and that was the best pizza in London without any doubt , highly recommended

Best homemade ravioli crab in life,I regret that we didn't come here every night of our stay,the restaurant was very busy,the owner found us a table and Offered us a drink,we did have to wait for the food but it worth the wait,great food amazing location,and very nice desserts....

We were a group of six and that arrived to a virtually empty restaurant - and I think we understand why that is now. After enquiring about our food 3 times, we were assured it was coming. It did arrive, almost an hour later. Having politely tried to discuss this with the owner, he angrily protested that it was perfectly acceptable to wait that long and that there shouldn't be a complaint. No apologies or concessions were made. At that point we all complained, promptly paid and left. Our advice would be to avoid this restaurant at all costs. There are much better and more pleasant pizzerias in Richmond.

When we get down to speaking about Italian restaurants abroad there is a lot of confusion especially given the fact that too often reviews are written by customers who know nothing about authentic traditional cousine.

First time visit but not the last!

We went there for lunch and were the only guests when we arrived. First of all the woman who runs the restaurant didn't acknowledge us at all. When we were ready to order she interrupted us and went outside to talk to her colleague to ask her a question, but they ended up talking for a couple of minutes while we were waiting for her to return. After we ordered she continued to chat to her colleagues and the cook which stopped them from doing their work (our food). Then our food finally arrived and she didn't bother to give us any cutlery. The food itslef was quite good, except for one tomato sauce which was way to salty and we didn't get the right pizza we had ordered. In the end we had to pay 5 punds of service charge which definitely wasn't deserved. Furthermore we think that the whole menu is really pricey.

It was a pleasure to return to La Luna di Luca on a damp Saturday night. In a world of large chains I fully support independent restaurants where the owner is there to greet you at the door. La Luna is cosy, not never cramped. The menu is concise with lots of favourites. The wooden board meat platter with olives was delicious, but particular note must be given to the squid which was fresh, crisp & incredibly satisfying. We all opted for pasta, which as you'd expect was cooked to perfection, accompanied with superb sauces. We found space for pudding, mine was lemon & almond tart, with the best gelato I've had outside of Italy. The wine list was short, seasonal & well considered to compliment the dishes on offer. Service was excellent; efficient & friendly. I look forward to my next visit & fingers crossed calamari fritti will still be on the menu.

The service was horrible here and the staff were completely unhelpful. I was very disappointed and will not be coming back.

I love this restaurant. In a town full of chain restaurants this is an authentic Italian restaurant with the owner there most nights serving and greeting customers. The food is great but the only issue is the service can be a bit slow. Worth it though!

A friend was back from Italy recently and remarked that in the small town they stayed in you couldn't get a take away coffee! Maybe sometimes a slower pace is ok!

I have eaten here a number of times and return in the hope that the service will have improved. Firstly the food is nice which is the reason we return. If you go for lunch when it's empty then it's fine but go in the evening then forget it. It's understaffed, the woman who owns it is rude and does not know how to run a restaurant. You can expect to wait over an hour for your food and sometimes your drinks too when it is busy. It's not particularly cheap either. It's such a shame as this totally over shadows the food. I am not sure I would return now. I went a couple of weeks ago and all tables were full and nobody was eating and lots of people complaining which makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere in a restaurant. I wouldn't recommend going here. Also they are on Deliveroo now and if you order a pizza via them more or often than not your order gets cancelled. She really needs to up her people skills and employ more staff.

The restaurant interior is nice enough and the staff are friendly. The food is average and expensive for what it is! The service is snail slow... it took 40 minutes for our starters to arrive.. which were only : Burrata (mozzarella cheese)... I witnessed at least 5 diners complaining about the slow service. One diner asked why her main hadn't arrived, after her friend's main was served 10 minutes beforehand.

This is very popular with locals and tourists alike. We ate here on a lovely balmy evening in July when everyone was happy to dine outside. The food was typically Italien pasta and pizza and very tasty. It is the only place I know where no one seemed to be turned away. The owner and staff made every effort to accommodate everyone that turned up which is really lovely!

Atmosphere - - nice, nothing extravagant but kind pf cozy.

The atmosphere is nice enough, but be prepared for very slow service. The staff are friendly, but will happily keep you waiting for ages - I was told on the phone at 5.20 my take-away pizzas would be ready by 6.15, but was kept waiting for an extra 15 minutes because "the oven wasn't hot enough" - no apology, no offer of a drink, and a puzzled look when I said I was expecting to pick up my pizzas on time as my friends and kids were waiting for their dinner...!
