We were served by friendly staff the Leek & Potato soup was tasty & hot but the petit pain was a tad hard but not worth complaining about. Would visit again.

I love this chippy. It's spotlessly clean. Staff are welcoming. It's well priced. I enjoyed chips mushy peas and gravy. It was delicious. Nice little seating area. Extra vinegar wasn't a problem. Hubby devoured his pie dinner with gusto! Great chippy!

In this place you can eat typical English dish - fish and chips. In my opinion it was very tasty and in a good price. Highly recommend!

Tables littered generally untidy ...I like to eat in a clean and tidy area...no healthy choices and take away packaging only even when eating in.

"The Best Chippie" in Liverpool, right in the busy city shopping area - I had to stop and try it. It was a time warp for me, an old school "chippie." I couldn't get over the portion - a far cry from a "four penny chip and sixpenny fish" order. Loved it but felt guilty because I couldn't finish it.

I've always found Liverpool Fish and Chips a little disappointing which is quite weird when you consider that the city is one of the worlds most historic ports. I've lived and visited other coastal regions in the UK and have found their fish chips to be of a better standard.Anyhow mostly in the city centre we have kebab/ of 'Chinese' takeaways. The only other competitor is the Lobster Pot which ive always found overly greasy. I have not had F&C from the new chip shop in the Albert Dock.Anyhow today I has the sausage dinner which was 2 sausages, chips gravy and illuminous mushy peas with a can of Dr Pepper for £4.60.It could be argued that such venues probably should not be on trip advisor however work is dragging, I promise never to revue a McDonald's or Burger King.

The doner meat burgers, wraps and pittas are excellent. They filled to overflowing with the nicest seasoned doner meat we have tasted in years. The chips are cooked perfectly. Its the only chippy we go to and have driven from southport to liverpool just to have tea at this chippy. It has a small but very clean eating area inside and the staff are always friendly and helpful. You cant get better especialy at the prices they charge.

Been looking for a good fish and chips in Liverpool for years now but we don't seem to have any! L1 Fish and Chips has a very basic and small seating area. It looks like the fish and chips could be really nice but unfortunately not. They were anaemic looking and greasy and the fish was very bland with a thick batter. We wrongly charged as well. The search for a good fish and chip goes on!

Very very good traditional fish and chips, close to liverpool One shopping centre, try it if you don't like fast food like mc donalds or burger King ... This is really old style at a very reasonable price. We tried fish and chips but many people was happily eating curry dishes or kebab. I reccomend it for a quick lunch .

My wife and I had to submit a request to review this small Fish and Chips shop for Trip Advisor. It is conveniently located near Liverpool One and The Hard Days Night Hotel (across the street from Debenhams). We had lunch here three times in May and twice last year.Being from Britain, I truly loved the fish which was flaky and crispy (definitely tasty with vinegar drizzled on top). The fish is stacked on top of a large pile of chips that were also tasty. Not only do they serve Fish and Chips but they have meat pies, curry, fried sausage, Chicken and Doner Kebabs, burgers, etc.The staff was very friendly and the price was very good for lunch. There are few seats inside and outside so it is more for takeout than sit down but there are a number of places around L1 where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. If you love fish and chips, you have to try L1.We will be eating here again when we return.

Can somebody please tell me what on earth has happened to this company? the quality of one of the best bakers has gone, how do you justify the price for the size of eg your sausage and bean pasty cheap beans no sausage please go and compare it with Greggs I've just bought various items from Sayers and as so many Sayers shops have now closed when seeing one open I remembered how much I used to enjoy Sayers, but wow now I understand why so many shops have gone its such a shame so disappointed in the product I will never use Sayers again no value for money, cheap product, not what it used to be, maybe a little bit of market research of competitors also using quality produce instead of having the cheek to charge full price for crap such a let down so many others to choose from so why use Sayers I may as well threw my money in the bin as that is were these items have just gone

Reminiscent of Littlewoods caf circa 1973. Enough said. Bagel inedible. Tea not made with boiling water. Dreary staff and surroundings. Come on John Lewis. You are taking the mick.
