We were looking for some pizza for lunch having walked down to nearer the river after checking out of our hotel. We couldn't see much choice so decided to take a gamble on this place. It was quiet when we arrived which we were a bit hesitant about but we shouldn't have been. Both starter and main course were lovely, with the pizza being especially delicious and fresh. The service was great too, friendly and prompt. It was mid-range pricing but you expect that for right in the city like this. The only slight negative was someone at the table behind us speaking very loudly on their phone with the other person on speaker. Turns out they were part of the restaurant staff (potentially the owner) and I thought this was quite inconsiderate. Otherwise, a lovely little place off the beaten track.

We came here without a reservation and we were still accommodated by the friendly staff. This is a lovely cosy restaurant with an open kitchen and it has a really homely and authentic atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive and service was swift and couldn’t fault anything. The food was very tasty with great choice including specials board. Would definitely visit again.

I called to reserve just an hour before we were planning to arrive having found this via a Google search of Italians near me (sorry TripAdvisor). We are staying at Tower Hill so it’s a 11 minute walk. And it was worth it. A warm welcome, three of us choosing dishes from the specials board, a prompt and very pleasant service, all made this a meal we were really impressed with. It’s just one street back off the main road but easy to find, easy to walk to and again, well worth it.

We came here when staying in the area a year ago and were back to try it again as we loved it last time. It didn't disappoint, there are always a selection of special starters and mains, as well as a fairly small A La Carte menu (which is always a good sign!) Food is cooked freshly in the Kitchen that is open to the restaurant, comes quickly, and is excellent. Try the Seafood Linguine or Risotto, both equally as good, and if there is the special of Lobster Ravioli that is a must! Two mains, four drinks and some olives to start (excellent!) came to £40 a head including service, which included the Lobster Ravioli at £25 so not bad value for this part of town.

Tucked away down a little alley, this was such a find. The staff were really friendly and the food superb. The pesto and mozzarella garlic bread is without a doubt the best garlic bread we've ever tasted. We had the crab linguine and the linguine campagna. Both freshly made and full of flavour. Thank you so much for fitting us in, you made our evening.

Despite not having a reservation we were quickly seated in this small and intimate restaurant. Between us we had a variety of dishes all of which were excellent . The pistachio lava cake was amazing - one of the best desserts I have ever had . The service was efficient , it is worth noting they added a 12.5% service charge to the bill and we were not a large group so I assume they do the same for all

Fabulous little Italian tucked away by Monument . Staying away solo with work I hate eating supper in my hotel bedroom so often venture out . This place looked so friendly and cosy - did not disappoint. I walked in without a booking and they could not have been more attentive . Didn't feel remotely out of place eating by myself and the food was delicious. I had palma ham / tomatoes to start , veal for mains - all scrumptious 😋

Came in without a reservation and got a table for two no problem, four drinks, a coffee, a sald and two mains came to £83 including service, mains were around £15-£16 and were excellent, really tasty seafood pasta!

Lovely place that we stumbled across while wandering around the city. Friendly welcome. Pizza was amazing. We queried a couple of items on the menu but the issue was quickly resolved.

Came here for a catch-up with a former colleague over drinks and loved the place - great attentive service, excellent Aperol Spritz(es) and lovely house white wine, all topped off with some truly excellent olives. Heartily recommended.

What a wonderful find. Kids (11 & 13) were super tired and hungry after a fun packed morning so my clever 13yr old found this restaurant on trip advisor. It was absolutely perfect for us. We had a few surprises - the word 'city' in the name gave an impression of a huge hall like restaurant amongst the hustle and bustle of London. The reality was the opposite - this was small and cosy restaurant up a small lane. We were eating at an odd time so the restaurant was quiet but still serving. The kitchen area is open and part of the dining area which was amusing. We had three different pizza's and my daughter had the seafood pasta. They were all delicious. The second surprise was that our pizza's were spicy but for all of us, (including the 11 year old), this made the pizza's extra special. Apparently the spiciness was a mistake and mix up in the kitchen but despite the fact we were very happy with the pizza's, the owner insisted on giving us a free pudding. Excellent customer service even if it was unnecessary. I also enjoyed a couple of glasses of the delicious Sicilian House White. If we didn't have a show to go to I could quite happily have got stuck here for the evening :-) Highly recommend.

El local es muy bonito por fuera y por dentro. El servicio fue rápido y amable. En cuanto a la comida, además de buena, las cantidades fueron generosas (y eso es de agradecer). El único punto negativo (y por eso no le doy un 5/5) es que la gente hablaba muy fuerte y además, resonaba en todo el restaurante, y eso hacía que fuese algo complicado y molesto mantener una conversación.

Another amazing visit to this family run Resturant tucked out of the way. We were staying at the nearby Prem Inn and had to visit this most amazing Italian. Always the perfect combination of freshly home cooked Italian pizzas, pastas and risottos. If you are visiting this area during the week it is the place to go. Very rarely is it possible to find such good food with a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you

The restaurant had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by attentive staff, delicious food and tasteful decor. Our group had a mixture of pizza and pasta, all of which went down very well, with the homemade tiramisu being a personal highlight! Trattoria encantadora escondida en la ciudad. Personal amable y atento con platos frescos de temporada. Deliciosas pizzas, pasta y especialidades diarias. Ero in giro nella city di Londra per business, per caso sono capitato in questo ristorante un po' nascosto tra le vie e ho ordinato una pasta starter (spaghetti bolognese ai 4 formaggi) ed una pasta speciale: una Carbonara eccellente guarnita con un bel peperone verde!!! Mai mangiate paste come queste, erano buonissime!!!! Servizio eccellente mi sentivo meglio che a casa. E come ciliegina un tiramisù fatto dalla casa forse più buono che abbia mai mangiato in tutta la mia vita!!!!!!

Grandes platos de pasta aquí para hacer que vuelvas a probar más. Labio golpeando bien. Casi siempre elijo de la tabla de ofertas especiales, aunque el menú es extenso. El restaurante está escondido en un callejón, pero casi siempre está lleno en un día de la semana con personas que trabajan localmente (¡o simplemente que sepan!) Eso debería decir lo suficiente.

Nous sommes allés à Londres pour le nouvel an et nous recherchions un restaurant chaleureux à proximité de notre hôtel et nous avons eu le plaisir de trouver cet établissement. Nous avons été bien accueillis, la serveuse était discrète et avenante. Nous avons dégusté une cuisine italienne fine, traditionnelle, savoureuse, les pâtes al dente à la perfection. Quel plaisir pour les papilles! Nous étions hélas pressés et le service a été juste parfait, tout était dans la justesse, sans faux pas. Nous avons apprécié que l'on nous ouvre la porte au moment de partir, un geste élégant et courtois. Si vous cherchez un établissement calme où l'on déguste de vrais plats authentiques, vous serez on ne peut mieux à l'Antipasto City.

Muy aficionado a este restaurante. La calidad de la comida es generalmente buena pero variable. Es la variabilidad que lo defrauda. Visitamos alrededor de 10 veces y en 3 los estándares eran pobres. Un plato de porcelana blanca colocado sobre la mesa con verduras acababa de ser sacado del horno y cuando lo levanté me escaldé gravemente en la mano. Mi respuesta fue cortés que el personal debería advertir a los clientes si los artículos están muy calientes. El gerente fue entonces grosero con la camarera en mi presencia. En una segunda ocasión tuve una porción de pasta irónica y tuve que ir a Tesco para comprar un sándwich después. Se lo señalé a la camarera. Hoy comí tiras de carne y tres de ellas eran de grasa pura y los cortes restantes eran una mezcla de carne y grasa, muy poco filete. Le informé al gerente que no pagaría el 12. 5% de servicio en esta ocasión, que luego obtuvo la licencia para insultarme y me explicó que la carne tiene grasa y que si no estoy contento de no visitar su restaurante. Como chef entrenado, no necesito este tipo de rudeza y él debería aceptar comentarios cortésmente entregados.

Had a very nice meal here with a bottle of the house white wine (very good) - it was a place of calm after fighting our way through thousands of people around the Tower of London. Charming staff made it a very enjoyable meal out.

The food is really good and very accommodating for our seven year old who doesn’t really like meat. Great family meal had by all of us. Definitely recommend for young families (ours are five and seven).

We loved our evening meal here as a family. The food was superb authentic Italian and it had a lovely atmosphere, being reasonably small and busy and on a quiet back street. I had one of the specials - Tagliatelle Boar Ragu, which was excellent, as I'm told was the Lasagne and Pizzas. The Tiramisu was very good but the vanilla ice cream stole the show on the deserts front. The owner and waitress were really friendly and fun with the children. Portions were a good size and prices reasonable. We hope to return on a future visit to London.

This hole in the wall restaurant was simple yet cosy, with attentive staff and yummy pasta dishes. Prices were more reasonable than many others in London. Do note that they do not have baby high chairs or cushions for toddlers to sit on.

Simple, charming, and serving exquisite food prepared with clearly a lot of experience and care. A little tricky to find initially but worth every bit of effort. Make reservations or come early because there are only a handful of tables and the place is packed. Service was exceptional and every item we had off the daily board was divine. I can not recommend this gem too highly! I will SO be back!

The food was very good as well as service. What I don't like is hand written notes on the bill about added tip. I still believe that tips in good restaurants are voluntary.

After the expensive antipasti the gluten free option was a disappointment. The meal was tasty enough but the choice was limited - only penne. No gluten free pizzas.

A small, busy and informal Italian restaurant, with cafeteria style seating, set in an alleyway on the edge of the city. While you can walk in without a reservation, given the limited sating availability would recommend pre-booking. The menu provides a lot of food options, including daily specials and a range of pizzas. Table service is provided and it was attentive without being intrusive and despite being busy, we were not rushed to vacate our table. Meal portions were modest, but all food was well cooked and tasty.There was a good wine list and both food and wine prices, whilst not cheap, were reasonable for the City. Certainly worthy of a visit if seeking a family style Italian meal.

A homely restaurant hidden away in a narrow back alley in old London Town gives an authentic taste of Italy. It’s small, simple but busy and the food is magnificent and it’s like being welcomed into a family eaterie in Italy itself. The pasta dishes are terrific and clearly home-made. Even the salads are well presented. The lobster ravioli is a must. Check out the blackboard for specials too. You’ll enjoy a great meal and won’t have to pay full London prices for the privilege either.

Wauw, how could I ever describe this restaurant? It is so fancy but still not too expensive. The staff is amazing and the food, THE FOOD.. is delicious!

First things first : customer service? Booked for 7.30pm but family wanted to eat sooner. Can we sit down sooner I asked? Absolutely, no problem. And then the food. Only one cook when we arrived, but the dishes were cooked quickly and, my, how good they were : out came the burrata & caponata, the fig, parma ham & gorgonzola and the pizza bread and pesto & cheese sauce for starters. All cooked to perfection. Two carbonara's for my boys and a tagliatelle with king prawns and a pistachio sauce for me, and a spaghetti with clams and bottarga for my wife ( both specials ) and the standard was the same. This place is great! Pizza's just as I remember from living in Italy. Plenty for my 9 year to choose from. He thoroughly enjoyed it as much as I did! Was a little bit pricey but definitely worth it. I would recommend this to all eater types. I am vegetarian and definitely spoilt for choice.

I've been here by chance, the place is a bit hidden. But luckily I discovered it! Very fast service! (less than 5 minutes for an amazing pizza and a delicious pasta!!) The place was full of customers, smiling chefs and professional waitresses. The quality of food really rare to find, Italy! Highly recommended !!!

We wanted an Italian meal following a trip to the Sky Garden & this was rated highly on Trip Advisor. So we found it tucked away & as it was a Wednesday night we were seated straight away. This is a lovely, authentic place with a friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious & so filling... we had starters and main courses & were so full we couldn't look at puddings. We also had beer and wine & the total was approximately £65 which is brilliant for the centre of London. We will definitely go back

Dieses kleine Restaurant ist typisch italienisch. Auch das Personal kommt aus Italien. Man wird zuvorkommend und schnell bedient und das Essen ist so, wie man es von einem guten Italiener erwartet. Auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Eine Flasche Wein bekommt man schon für unter 20 GPB.

I've worked in the City for a number of years and can say that this is my favourite Italian restaurant within the square mile. Friendly, welcoming service, excellent food and wine, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, and tucked away down a olde London cobbled alleyway. What more could you want. This place is off the beaten path but has great food. I especially liked the octopus. My wife had the spaghetti carbonara and my son had the penne siciliana and the sauce was perfect. I tried theirs and both were cooked perfectly. They liked them as well. Went pack a couple of days latter and had pizza. Perfect. Worth the search

I went to eat at l'antipasto on a quiet Wednesday night. I've decided to go for Carbonara, one of my favourite Italian dishes.

Visited for a dinner with a group of friends (about 10-12). I found the restaurant was small. Tables are small, almost not enough room for a big plate of food and not comfortable to eat.

Its a small out of the way restaurant. Food was good, not the best Italian but home made. The pesto pasta was very good. The recommended Sicilian red wine was superb for the modest price. Service was good.

I met a friend here for lunch recently (his choice of restaurant).

At first glance this place is great; cosy inviting decor, great menu, quality ambiance, good food and nice service staff - but the host was unnecessarily rude, not once but throughout our time. If he treats guests like that I hate to think how he treats staff. For me, disappointing, and would avoid as that behaviour just doesn’t warrant reward.

This is based on more than one lunchtime visit in May.The restaurant is not very large but neither is the alley it is in.Customers are greeted by friendly staff and seated quickly.Drinks were served quickly both times as were the starters. Questions on the starters on the second visit were well answered.Main courses were well flavoured with good portions. If you are looking for a proper genuine Italian food....AVOID this place! When u find cream in the pasta is the killing of Italian cuisine!! Past with seafood, the only taste you get is cream.....really disappointing for an Italian like me. None of the staff is italian...you can tell as they ask you if you want some parmesan in the sea food pasta!! Very very bad experience!

You need to look for this place. Its down a small alley that you would never find if it weren't for Google Maps.Simple Italian food like you would get in Italy - lots of daily specials, well prepared and efficiently served. I eat here regularly for business and pleasure. The food is excellent every time and the welcome just adds to the experience. If I can ever force myself not to order the Veal Milanese with Penne Arrabiata (which doesn't happen often!) the Seafood Ravioli is a definite go-to dish. Wines are Italian, of course and are great value. You will see some wines from the South of Italy that you will not see everywhere. A bit like Landi and the Team, you can feel the sunshine!
