Food always fresh,the server is very quiet but polite. And chips!!!,you get enough to choke a donkey. Very happy and friendly kitchen staff.

Recently back in Halifax for the night, decided to try what used to be my favourite takeaway, don't know what's happened but the king prawn curry was dreadful, all I could taste was salt...used to miss this place, not anymore 😔

Nice chicken omelette, I ordered for collection ready when I got there. Exclelent.

Been going here for donkeys years, still as good as always. Same family own it that originally started it. Lovely people. Known by name too which is nice to be greated with your name. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food. Best in Yorkshire. By far.

Lovely food I've got my Chinese's from here for the last 30 years

The only place I will go for my Chinese curry n fried rice, chicken fried rice and the only Chinese that does fish and chips

First time being here and unfortunately will be the last. The prawns in the king prawn in tomatoe where that chewy it was unedible, there was no meat what so ever in the special fried rice. The only nice thing was the portion of bean sprouts

This place has been here over 30 years and is still owned by the same family. It is still as good as always. The lads have brought some more modern dishes in but still have the traditional Cantonese dishes too. Fantastic place.

Love either a beef curry or mushroom omelette even though they don't deliver i won't go to any other Chinese love it

Disgusting, over priced, Luke warm and was ready within less than a minute. All pre-cooked. Barely ate it, don’t waste your money!!

Been here plenty of times, food seems to be getting worse, had sweet and sour chicken balls and they were chewy. Rang him to let him know incase it was an issue with his supplier, and was questioned on what I meant by chewy, and was then informed thats how it's meant to be. So if you want chewy chicken, this place cooks it perfectly. Brush up on your customer service mate.

Unfortunately a very disappointing meal on this occasion. Quite expensive too. Shame because this place has been there for as long as I can remember and used to be superb. In future I will go to Ovenden Kitchen just down the road or China Dragon at Mixenden

Probably the worst Chinese I ever ate the guy said ten minutes and my chicken balls tasted like they had been microwaved from last night and it cost 20 pounds for what I would describe as dry and chewy won't eat here ever again

Dec 2019: Moved back to the area and so pleased to find this on my doorstep. Great food, friendly service and good value for money so far. Could be 5 stars in a few months from me. May 2022 update: Treat myself to a meal here now and again. Prices recently went up which deterred a few folk but it's around the first substantial hike in years so noticeable because of that. Still value for money and cheaper than most. Favourite meals for me are the special curry and also have a nice piece of battered fish with soft noodles upon occasion. They don't do delivery and I can see why with the amount of footfall gracing the premises. Can only imagine the hassle that delivery creates and extra workload. I prefer to order direct rather than face potential disappointment that I often get when I have used delivery services. I have included updated pictures and was blown away with over 100k views of the last ones I put up! All are correct as of May 2022.

The food here will be the cause of the next national pandemic so dont be binning them masks yet people!! Quality of food = 0 Menu is very basic Food order was ready nearly instantly!?!? Ordered s&p spare ribs which came as 1" chunch of crusty bones with next to zero meat. Singapore chow mein came with large thick noodles instead of vermicelli, dryer than a bag of sand and no contents like beansprouts, meat or even any moisture. Had to drink fotty thousand gallons of water to counter act the dehydration from just looking at this dish. 1st time using this takeaway and wish i never even bothered. Place needs a danger to life sign at the entrance, eat here at your own risk. UPDATE!!! i found some pork!!!! Shame it tastes like its rotton!!!!

One of the best Chinese ever, its not full of grease like some are, it's full of flavor, my favourite dish is the sweet and sour chicken balls (with rice), proper nice that is. Always busy as well, so that's a great sign. Keep up the good work guys. 👍

Name sounds like “crying”, you might when you receive your meal. Those who rated this good food, I have to wonder what you normally eat, as this was one of the worst I think we’ve ever had. Starters - dry rib, ok - pretty tastless but nothing much to object to, probably the highlight of the meal. Wontons, very dark brown thick greasy batter with a burnt chicken filling (not prawn as normal). Spring rolls 90% cabbage and thick greasy prawn toast that was more like bread fried in stale veg oil than any prawn toast I’ve ever eaten. The main was truly inedible, a dish we have ordered from many different places before, smelt so bad we had to bin outside and open the window to clear the smell. I’m not sure whether the sauce used was off, but neither of us could bring ourselves to even taste in, and my other half boasts of an iron stomach! The chips were also inedible, how hard are chips to make? pale, greasy, flavour, soggy and broken up. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a whole new level of gross hx food

Lovely food. I don't live local but i choose to travel a couple of miles than go to my locals. I live in Pellon so have alot much closer.
