K’s Spice African Restaurant in Bexley

I've been coming to K's Spice African restaurant with friends for years and I must say it's my go to place for everything Naija cuisine. Both the owner and his staff are sooo customer focus and they always aim to provide the best food and service.

First and last time I'm ordering from this restaurant. I don't think they understand what it means to treat customers like a king! I ordered egusi with assorted meat and pounded yam and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The egusi didn't look fresh and the dish was full of spinach. The portion was so tiny it wasn't worth the asking price. I left a note for cutlery and serviettes to be included but it wasn't include. We don't all eat with our hands! I should've read the comments before I ordered the egusi. And yes the egusi is pale yellow as a previous customer wrote.

Got to say there is more Spice in my pants then there was in the food at this restaurant

Tried out the jollof rice (fish, chicken and beef) which was all very nice the rice had a nice smoky flavour. You can tell the chef is cooking from the heart.

The food is good, but please please and please can we not use empty butter and ice cream containers for delivery packaging. It is really unprofessional.

I am a big foodie, and in my nearly 20 years of living in London, this is the worst Nigerian meal I have ever tasted. As a Nigerian, I know what I'm talking about. The egusi soup looked like melted yellow crayon sprinkled with vegetable leaves. It was so yellow that it was clear no red oil was added, and it was overwhelmingly full of pepper with no other flavor. The stew on the side tasted like watered-down tomato sauce with a lot of pepper. The beef was so tough that it took me four minutes to chew and swallow one piece, and I nearly choked. I also ordered moi moi, which was dense, dry, and incredibly thick. It had some flavor but was nearly impossible to eat more than half. The meat pie was not a proper meat pie—it seemed like a British pastry with little filling, dry, and tasteless. I didn't finish anything. I forced myself to eat the pie and half the moi moi. I'm just glad I didn't spend much on this place. I wanted to try a new Nigerian restaurant instead of my usual spot, but if you go there and don't like it, ask for a refund. I ordered delivery service late last night and couldn't be bothered. Let me tell you, I will never eat from here again! This was the worst African food I have ever tasted—it felt like someone with no experience in African cuisine attempted to cook it for the first time.

DO NOT ORDER ASUN I ordered Asun and it was a few peices of rubbery boiled goat meat that cost £12. Tasteless with zero seasoning. They didn't bother to fry it or spice it up. Apart from that, food is reasonable

Really enjoyed the meal came with my family and we drove about 13 miles as we were at London for the day. The staff were very cordial and respectful staff by names Ifedolapo and Cloudina.

The atmosphere is welcoming the food is great and the Service you'll get is fantastic. A trial will convince you.

It's not posh but quite spacious, clean and well priced and most importantly does the primary restaurant business of feeding you with good portions, prompt delivery and undiluted service. I've been back few times to back up my earliest experience.

Food is good and customer service is awesome. They are good at communicating and resolving issues swiftly. Loved the scotch egg, very delicious, i recommend.

Nice african restaurant in the town centre. The food is decent. Nice staff. Totally recommend. Opening time is around past 10. You can call to confirm/make reservations.

Im not happy with kspices! Their food is nice. Especially they have the best meat pie. The other day, i ordered rice and paid extra for fried beef. But beef did not come. So i made an order again and this time i called to remind them to put in the extra beef i paid for. The lady on the phone said she will even add extra. My order came, again no beef. That was frustrating. So for that i wont be ordering again

Customer service was bottom barrel, staff were extremely rude and food was not great either. I highly do not recommend coming here.

Food was awful, waited 40 minutes and was cold, tried reporting to the manager but all they wanted to do was argue with me, I was trying to be reasonable saying I would still pay if I could just get a hot dish but they insisted to carry on arguing. Avoid at all costs!!

Very rude staff. The women that owns the restaurant is extremely disrespectful and rude when I tried to explain the issues with my order she decided to shout at me and hung up this is the second time I’ve had to deal with the lack of customer service and the fact that I’m dealing with it with the owner is extremely disgraceful. The whole restaurant needs to work on a key word called professionalism.

Hmmm trust me this is d best Nigerian restsurant near Erith and the staffs here are well mannered nd humble too. Even after leaving London I still asked any1 coming my way to buy me some from there. They have all sorts of Nigerian dishes and Mr K himself is very humble.

Terrible customer service. I placed an order over 2 hours ago and it was cancelled. We ordered again and we are still waiting over an hour later. Called the restaurant to complain. Kspice is good but can be better with their menu options available on Uber

I had lunch there during some sort of inspection. That didn't affect the food arriving in a timely manner. Can't fault any dish I've had there. Great watering hole...clean, great music and mega polite staff. Always worth the stop.

Wow!!!!!! Fantastic!!! Splendid!! I stumbled upon this place this evening by complete mistake and I'm massively impressed, the service was incredible, and the food matched it. I'm a chef by trade, focusing on French/Bistro and I know diddly squat about African cuisine. However, I wanted something different and after a day "on the pass" I was hungry, but bored. I chatted with the brilliant young lady serving briefly and explained my lack of knowledge and very quickly we decided that the Beef, rice and peas for me. Every mouthful was a rollercoaster of flavours and spices and I am now massively Hooked. The beef was tender, but still a sealed crust to give a crunch to the food.... But it's was the pure comfort of eating something that was made with LOVE

The guy that was serving food last sunday was fantastic,the menu was depleted but he was able to make us stay and order what was available.thumbs up to him left him a tip

The food tasted lovely and the price was reasonable for the size. The customer service was horrible as the woman was frowning and reluctantly attended to us. The meal was delicious but to dine in, there was extra charges despite all the empty seats - we opted for takeaway for that reason. We had planned to eat in and had travelled a long way to find the restaurant. That was disappointing The 3 star is because the jollof rice was absolutely delicious but the service was horrible. Would've been a 2 star due to the bad customer service but I can't fault the food

I ordered 2 portions mashed beans, one with beef, mackerel fish, turkey and puff puff. Oh my goodness, I really enjoyed that, food was fresh and delicious. I don’t do reviews but I had to. The delivery took long, I was annoyed but when I tasted the food I was like wow! I used to order from Tasty African but K Spice is another level. Thank you guys, the portions were amazing. Guys just try their mashed beans, I keep buying the same mashed beans 🤭🤭 with a variety of meat. Goat Pepe soup is amazing too. Thank you so much. 04/06/2022 ordered puff puff and got burnt rubbish. We also ordered fried rice it was salty. We couldn’t eat it.

So we went there on 10/05/22 We asked for Gbegiri and Ewedu with Amala. To our surprise we were told its not available, I asked why , the waitress said its not available everyday I think she said only 3 times a week or something like that. I said that it doesn't say that on the menu list..no small prints about availability. It wasn't like 11pm meaning it's sold out which I can understand and its closing time. We were forced to order something else. Edi kai Kong with poundo yam. It was totally dissapointing. The vegetables were under cooked with no taste whatsoever. It was assorted bones instead of assorted meat. I would suggest that the owner goes in once in a while to taste these foods to ensure that quality and standards are maintained. Otherwise they'll loose customers just like that at the end the day its the tastes that matters most. I would certainly not be returning not recommend it to anyone. What a shame.

I love this place! Great value for money. My go-to place when I need takeout. Their beef is the best! So tender and tasty! All their food is delicious. Would highly recommend.

28 and 29 August 2021. Excellent service. All items everyone in my family picked were delicious. Pounded yam, egusi, edikaikan, assorted meat, jollof rice, dodo, moinmoin, puffpuff , marshed beans, asaro, fried fish, dodo, ponmo. Besides the staff are courteous and friendly.

I like the fact that it can be sectioned off for private parties. Enjoyed the music.

The Isi-ewu was disappointing. It felt more like kpomo than Isi-ewu.

Regularly eat at k spice. Ordered a home delivery and the jollof rice was burnt. The rice was black.

Great portion sizes, flavour of eforiro and egusi is always perfect, shaki sometimes too tough but cow foot and beef always perfect. All round excellent restaurant, great service, my 7 year old also loves the spice levels which are not too mild and not overwhelming, great balance overall.

the food here is TERRIBLE. If you enjoy authentic and decent nigerian food please avoid. Asun was horrible and the white rice and ayamase was inedible. The rice was mushy and there was barely any sauce to mask the taste of overcooked rice.

Today I felt I needed to write a review I always order from K’s kitchen on Uber eat but today they took the Mickey my orders arrive late the food was absolutely cold I had to throw in the bin it wasn’t up to the usual standard I’m so disappointed I will not be ordering again when I ordered the Rice It was burn how can you be serving people Burnt rice I think it’s OK never again

I met some short lady there who attended to me at the bar - very rude - acting like I’m the source of her problem ! I promised my self never to eat there ever again even though the food is ok - I have starved my self many times of nija food bcos of her disgusting attitude - I d rather take my money somewhere else

K’spice is one place I go to when I want to have the Lagos feel with good food. It’s not rowdy or noisy like some other Naija ‘restaurants’. Parking is free for 3 hours and it’s relatively neat. The owner is a very humble gentleman and appreciates his customers. I recommend their Asaro (yam porridge), assorted goat meat and plantain. Always a delight.

The food was really below standard

I ordered 2 takeaway meals. Asaro with beef and jollof rice with fish. The food was appalling. The asaro was very watery mush with 1 big lump of hard yam. The beef was crisp fried and hadn't been allowed to take up moisture in the stew. So was crunchy and tasteless. Got beef even though I ordered fish with the rice. All food lacked seasoning and even basic salt.

Generally food is great but bought food today the fish was left standing to long and inedible the fish was old. The price I paid for it to have to waste it is very sad let alone the tummy ache.

The chef needs to ease up on sodium! Literally the dishes I ordered okra, asun and efo riro were all extremely salty. I ordered as take-away so didn't realise until I got home. I have previously dined in and food has usually been good.

I love their egusi soup with Pounded yam, am not usually a big fan of egusi, and have tried many other restaurants without getting the right feeling afterwards, but this one makes me go back every single time. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming at the tills. Massive fan of this restaurant.

Very poor customer service with no manners

Most of the time, great service. However, this is the second time this has happened. I ordered 3 meals and 2 meat pies. I made my order over the phone where I was told by the manager that new meat pies would take about 10/15 mins. Upon arrival, my order wasn't complete and the waitress at the front desk was very unpleasant. As the order wasn't exactly what I wanted, I asked for it to get fixed. She became angry and snappy because she had to go into the kitchen and amend the order. I then went into the kitchen to further explain what I wanted, where I saw a new batch of meat pies fresh out of the oven on a backing tray. She then returned with a complete lack of patience and kept pushing the food towards me for me to pay. After paying, I mentioned the meat pies which were missing from the order, she snaps at me saying there are no meat pies. I mentioned the manager said it would take 10/15 mins over the phone. Again, she snaps saying there are no meat pies available, so I left. The customer service isn't usually this bad, but today it was awful and if any of the waitresses don't want to work or need to take a break, they should relay this to their manager and not taking it out on staff. My suggestion would be to implement extensive customer service training so that staff do not take out their stress/anger on customers because this was the worst service I have experienced here.
