Kowok Chinese Takeaway in Merton

I've been a regular customer here for almost a year now, and I can say with absolute certainty that they've never disappointed. The staff are delightful, the food is fast, and it's delicious too. I personally recommend trying a roast pork stir-fry with special fried rice on the side, its gorgeous. Easily my favourite takeaway on the Morden highstreet.

Possibly the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The oil it’s been cooked in is obviously very old. I feel sick at the thought of it. The whole family felt the exact same. What a waste of £50!!!

I ordered salt and pepper chicken through Ubereat app, along with other items, including soup. However, when the order arrived, the soup was leaking, and the salt and pepper dish turned out to be tofu instead of chicken. When I called the shop, they insisted it was tofu on their end and claimed it wasn't their fault. Despite offering to provide a screenshot showing the chicken on my end, they suggested it was a system issue and asked me to contact Uber. The woman remained firm that they couldn't do anything and promised a refund. I gave up in the end, but I believe the situation could have been handled differently. Instead of insisting on a refund, they could have simply replaced the tofu with chicken, especially since it's the same price or offered to pay the difference. It seemed like a reasonable solution, considering the mix-up wasn't my fault. In the end, the tofu was disappointingly chewy, and I would have preferred the chicken. It's a shame to have people like her in this business who care more about assigning blame than providing good customer service.

Hard to judge quality of food as it was only luke warm when it eventually arrived, delivery took 90 minutes! Both times I called to see where it was i was told the driver was 2 minutes away. Won't be ordering from here again.

Had the worst kung Prawn Egg Foo Yung ever. Just an expensive, overcooked rubber omelette with a few prawns. I think a couple of bamboo shoots. No flavour, no sauce, no vegetables, nothing like Foo Yung. Won't order from them again.

Absolutely disgusting. The batte on the sweet and sour prawns tasted like sweet pancake mix. Couldn't eat it.

Very good food. Lovely people too. For me, this is the best one in the Morden/Cheam/Sutton area (that offers delivery).

thai green curry with probably a whole chicken in it, amazing amount of meat and super tasty. the house chow mein did not disappoint, chicken balls crisp and spring rolls crispy too. will be ordering again.

My friend ordered this and she got no beef in her fried “beef” just dough! Its a total scam, how is that even legal Such horrible greasy food. She is trying to get her money back. Please people save your money and get food elsewhere.

Indian people service Chinese food which is why its MID, furthermore with basic seasoning :(

Good consistent quality but not the best value as there are similar takeaways that offer dishes at a more affordable price.

Amazing food and amazing service! We mentioned in the notes being really hungry and they delivered so so quickly, the driver hadn’t even started work yet so the guy brought it to us himself. So so lovely and honestly my favourite take away place.

I ordered from Kowok earlier this month via Just Eat and was so happy! I ordered the basic - special chow mein, prawn toast and stir fried house special broccoli. All delicious! The chow mein had a slight char which I enjoy, prawn toast was very generous size portion and the house special broccoli was AMAZING and very much a surprise - it had broccoli, tender chicken and pork, prawns. Hoping all future orders will be this good!

Horrid, egg fried rice weird taste, beef so chewy, prawns frozen pre made ones not fresh at all reminded me of an Asda ready meal Chinese never again

Absolutely fantastic customer service. We’d forgotten to order the most important dish of our delivery and when they realised they threw it in for free. Such a lovely gesture. I’m now a customer for life!

The best Chinese takeaway 👌🏼 My friends and I love it. The salt and chilli chips are the best. I also love the Thai red curry and egg fried rice.

One of my favourite places to order from. Good range of dishes, always cooked well. Always arrives hot and on time. I do wish they offered more meal deal options though.

I can't believe their attitude about the order I made. I ordered 2 hot and sour soups and clearly mansion little spicy. Both soups came with lots of chilli. I call to the "restaurant " to complain and the lady said that I have to speak with deliveroo as I made the order with deliveroo not with kowok😯 DO not use them!!!@@!!

No duck. Never arrived would not help was so unhelpful.. would not send it and said I need to ask for a refund and repurchase. Completely ridiculous

Ordered food for delivery and it was dry, burnt and of a really small quantity for the price - I appreciate a Chow Mein can be dry but it was like eating burnt cardboard- you are better off trying somewhere else, even if dearer

My first option when ordering Chinese food. We usually order once a week and the service is quick and the food very tasty, specially noodles.

As a Chinese, I think this is the best Chinese takeaway in Morden area! Everything l’ve had from this place was amazing plus big portions. I always order king prawns Chow Mein from Kowok. Will definitely ordering again!

Shame after reviews were tempting. Ordered in February. Thia green curry was very thin with very little in. Chips were horrid, like reheated from day before. My partner loved his king prawns with chilli though so I give 2 stars.

Ordered a takeaway tonight. Tasty food not overly salty but seasoning perfect. Would definitely visit again.

Expensive and VERY bad. Some food was still frozen, the of the other stuff was just undercooked. We won't be using them again.

No respect for upfront customers

Bloody shambles! Ordered last time and the food took two hours and three phone calls to arrive, this time we used their time request slot on the website, ordered not to arrive before 7pm so it would arrive between 7 & 8pm and it arrived at 6.20pm go figure? Annoying as the food isn’t bad!

This is my favourite Chinese take away in Morden area. I tried others but did not compare. Food is always delicious, arrives quickly and it's still hot. Highly recommended!

Normally, the food here is delicious. However, Saturday 15th August is was horrible, more went in the bin than in our stomachs. The shredded chilli beef was soggy, chicken curry tasted like soap, sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure alcohol, all of which ruined the rice. Really disappointed, won't be taking the risk again, will find somewhere else to order from.

Honestly this has to be the worst Chinese i've ever ordered. It tastes like a ready meal. I ordered Chicken Chow mein and ribs and i ended up throwing it away. Wouldn't recommend.

i should of listened to the bad reviews about food quality before ordering. i’ve had better microwaved food from the basic section at the supermarket. they did throw in some free prawn crackers which awards them a star but forgot the drink!

Best Chinese takeaway in Morden by far, excellent food at decent prices, quick and clean. Will highly recommend.

It reminds me of my old favourite place Plenty chinese .. its lovely . I adore the chips with the garlic chilli and onions and the dumplings are tasty as hell I could eat atleast 10 ! Rice is gorgeous and none of it us greasy .. I order every week.

Great food. There is nothing worse than an overly MSG heavy Chinese where everything is fried and they use the same sauce for everything. This is properly cooked, real ingredients by people who know what they are doing.

Not good at all.House special chow mien was very very salty,noodle dry and under cooked and not spicy as I asked for .Previous owners cooked nicely.

Very Nice food, Big portions and fast delivery

Made a delivery order, couldn't go worse. Usually when ordering a chicken dish I expect it to come with rice or noodles, to make sure I'll get the noodles I've put an request in comments. Literally a minute after making order a lady from a restaurant is calling me to let me know it doesn't come with anything, just a chicken in a sauce. I've told her strait away that in this case I don't want it and she told me that i need to call uber eats to cancel this. Did that, took it a few minutes, but I've been told that the food has been already made and they can't do anything about it and I need to take it and pay for it anyway. If you called me to make sure about the order and I've clearly told you that I don't want it, why would you prepare that anyway? Customer service? Less than zero . When it comes to the food? Definitely not what would expect.

Great all you can eat chinese. Pay £20 per person to eat anything on the menu. Very high quality food with good variety as well as nice houmous staff. Would recommend.

Unfortunately there is no option for zero or negative stars. I went there once, I couldn't eat it. Second time I chose fried rice - surely they can't mess that up. Couldn't eat it. Obviously the chef hates cooking. Only for those who love revolting food or have a hungry dog. Highly unrecommended. You have been warned.

If you want to go to a take away and be treated like a dog this is the place for you, I asked for a rice noodles tonight and it was almost thrown at me. Rubbish service. Need to try food now

Service recently gone downhill. Sent the order incorrectly then argued about it. Will not use again as plenty of other takeaways in the near vicinity.

Very poor, needs to close down!
