We stayed in different hotel, breakfast was pricey so came here. We were treated very well, by a lovely man, who we didn’t get his name unfortunately. He was so helpful, and the food was beautiful. Would deffo recommend.

Honestly, for being attached to a hotel this was one of the best meals I’ve had. It was delicious, drinks were great and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I would definitely come here again if I visit Liverpool.

Amazing spot with the most friendly, informative, and skilled mixologist Danilo. He recommended some great spots to see and eat that did not disappoint! Perfect location in the Hilton lobby. Food was small plates which was great for sharing and quite delicious. Eclectic menu so something for everyone. Definitely coming back for my next trip!

Personally I think this restaurant is extremely underrated. The food is absolutely beautiful. We had a mix of food and all was very well made with gorgeous flavour. We were greated by very friendly staff and they were very attentive. We had cocktails from the amazing Danilo. We ordered off menu cocktails and they did not disappoint. His blood orange negroni was to die for. Hidden gem.

Just got back from visiting this restaurant. Sadly it didn’t live up to expectations. We arrived to an empty restaurant, no greeting. We had to go looking for someone. We then found someone who looked like a manager sitting down doing paper work. When we finally got acknowledge we where told to just sit down ‘anywhere’. Bare in mind I’d pre booked a table in advance. So we chose a table which was dirty. All the tables where dirty or hadn’t been cleared (restaurants was empty) so when we sat down the table had to be cleaned in front of us. Not very luxurious as we where celebrating a birthday. Staff seemed very inexperienced and unprepared. No menus for afternoon tea given so we had no idea what we where getting (so not very good if you have an allergy) our waiter who tried his best seemed very inexperienced to be running the restaurant on his own. Drinks served promptly but tea was Luke warm at best and the milk wasn’t fresh, tasted like the long life milk (UHT). Waited a short while for our cakes and sandwiches to arrive as I said earlier (no menus) but overall the sandwiches and cakes where delicious. As the only table in the restaurant at the time it lacked atmosphere. We where given complimentary glasses of Prosecco which was a nice touch but overall we left very underwhelmed and won’t be in a hurry to come back.

The Koukash is attached to the Hilton hotel so I decided to give it a try. It was terribly quiet on the date I stayed with awful pop music playing. I can't say that any of the staff were that attentive or knowledgeable about the food or wine. The wooden table I sat at was tacky to the touch, so much so I chose another table, but they were all like that, it was unpleasant. I ordered the white whine garlic linguini, which I didn't enjoy, it came out nuclear hot, almost like it had been microwaved, was relativley bland and defiantly not worth the price (especially if it had been microwaved) All in, I wouldn't recommend this place to eat.

Booked this place as it looked great and the food looked amazing. We walked out after 10 mins. Had to find someone to get our table, given menus but not asked if we wanted a drink . Had to go to the bar to ask for drinks then we were told they only have one red wine. You know when you get the feeling this place isn’t good. This was it.

If it’s raining heavily and you stay at the hotel, this place is acceptable. They were out of vegetables (!) and draft beer but didn’t mention this because they didn’t know until we had already ordered. Uninspired food. Arrancini were doughy and soft, salad soggy, the highlight was the fries.

This must be one of the most depressing restaurants I've ever been to and very surprising for Hilton to be associated with something this bad. Risotto was wet and boring. The only reason for not giving 1 star was that the two guys serving were great. I felt sorry for them having to work in such a joyless environment. Breakfast was poor too.

Reasons my experience was poor. For reference, I had afternoon tea: 1 - Single cup of tea per person 2 - Served entirely different items than described on menu 3 - Not seated in library lounge as described on website but at the bar instead 4 - Overcharged on the bill. Also, service charge auto added on despite waiting far too long for food 5 - Poor quality ingredients/food, particularly considering the price, even if it was the price advertised. Terrible value. Would have been nicer if I had made this at home. 6 - Cafe quality, brasserie prices Total cost for two: £55. What I would have been happy to pay for this experience: £30 If you are reading this, just go somewhere else :D

Booked Lunch off the website after our overnight shopping trip to Liverpool One, before catching Train home. Food and service excellent, sharing a selection of small plates. Our group of four had rooms at the DoubleTree and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Liverpool. The DoubleTree was great and all the establishments we visited over our three days were welcoming and wonderful….. except Koukash. We stopped down twice to sit and talk and have some drinks. They were not busy, and even though they had plenty of time to attend to customers, both times it was almost like they preferred not to be bothered. We stayed for a couple drinks both times, and left to go elsewhere. Being attached to the DoubleTree, this restaurant/bar is a negative to this wonderful hotel.

I recently spent the night in Liverpool at @double so popped down into the Turkish restaurant next door for a bite to eat Food/drink⭐️⭐️⭐️ Firstly let's start with the cocktails, we ordered both on and off the menu and all the cocktails were prepared perfectly. The whiskey sours was gorgeous but I had to laugh that it took them 3 attempts to separate an egg white from the yolk! The food was good but not amazing to be honest. We had the mixed mezze and calamari to start and I just felt the calamari was a bit dull and lacking flavour whilst the mezze was presented nicely the Hummus was a bit too tangy and the pitta dry AF, like I know it's bread but this was borderline stale. When mains came and my chicken skewers arrived I have to say I was excited to dive in. I asked for a bit of ketchup for the chips and recieved approximately 10ml in a small bowl, after a few minutes I asked for a little more ketchup and was presented a tatty looking plastic bottle of sauce.... classy! Both the starters and mains were perfectly fine and I wouldn't say I was unhappy with either but I kind of expected something better. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff were super friendly all evening and were always happy to help without being constantly present watching us eat. Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️(⭐️) I am giving this 3.5 stars. There is some finessing needed around some of the food but ultimately this was a really nice meal with some well prepared cocktails. Not bad for a restaurant linked to the hotel.

Stayed at the Double Tree attached - went in at around 8pm. Not good, zero atmosphere in an evening (not even any quiet music playing). Owner is plastered on every picture on every wall which is a bit weird. Also, strange metal tables which made you feel like you were sat in a prison canteen. Went for breakfast the next morning included in HiltonHonors, the only thing edible was the bacon. The rest was luke warm and poor quality ingredients, not the usual Hilton produce. Even the coffee cups had grime/hairs inside them...all in all very strange experience and you can go to much nicer places on the roads just off here.

Made it easy to find somewhere to get food when staying in the Hilton as this is part of it. Nicely laid out, welcoming staff who don't take their time with orders. Food tasted delicious I had the burger followed by baklava. Not too expensive either. Having spent a fair amount of time in the bar/restraint working, all I can say is that they are lucky to have someone like Josh. Having managed bars myself for many years I'm telling you that he is doing the job of at least 3 people at any one time. I've seen him deal with multiple customers simultaneously (while making fabulous cocktails) and training other staff. And he does it all with a smile on his face. You need to ask this person what can be done to help him and listen, because he's literally the only thing that turned a stay in a very average hotel into an exceptional one. You need more staff on shift. And not just in a 'reactive' way, actual staff.

Very disappointing for a 4* hotel restaurant. We had asked for the menu to be emailed to us a few days before we arrived at the hotel. Apparently chef had not decided on the menu so staff at the hotel were unable to do this. Well we weren't surprised when we sat at the bar to have a look at the menu. As I remember there were 4/5 items on the menu. There was a steak at £25, a pasta dish, a vegan dish and fish and chips which we chose because there wasn't anything else to choose from. There were only 2 or 3 other couples there and we stayed in the bar area to eat. It was nothing like the pictures which are flashed on their website! Needless to say we won't be going to this hotel again as the hotel was a disappointment too!

Once we were seated, 15 minutes had passed until our drinks order was taken at which point I asked for a drinks menu? To which I was told there was not much point looking at one as they were far to busy to make most of the drinks on there anyway! Within previous employment myself and my partner have both worked within this industry so we were trying to be understanding. However, the restaurant was not overly busy and we had ran a much busier restaurant and the same amount of staff they had on! We were then asked about our food order to which I explained we were on a Virgin experience voucher and we get 3 small plates each so is this off a different menu like the one on their website? We were told it was what was on their Sunday menu so we order from there. The starters were lovely however, halfway through eating them a waiter approached with our bill? I couldn’t help but laugh as what restaurant asks you to pay before you have even eaten, other than the likes of KFC or McDonald’s! I explained that we would like to order more drinks ect throughout the meal to which I was informed you pay as you go it’s the bosses orders and we could see him keep popping his head around to check! Next we were told there was no steak left so we asked if it was because we were on a voucher deal as we would happily pay extra but they explained there was just simply none left. So we ordered something different which isn’t a problem. However, in waiting for our meal, the wrong order was brought to our table with steaks on it. We explained that was not ours, to then watch it be taken to a table that had ordered after us! The lamb burger was awful everything was cold and the bun burnt with a very thin dry and gritty burger so I left most of it and my partner left most of his cod as the dish was tasteless. We were also left with no cutlery as it went with our starter plates we asked for cutlery twice but it never arrived! The chocolate brownie was lovely but the whole experience I have never experienced anything quite like it maybe it was because we were on a voucher deal so they weren’t particularly interested.

The food was nice however, it could do with a little seansoning when cooking, but, it was cooked to perfection and the breakfast service was wonderful too.The drinks menu was I think far too expensive £4.50 for bottled beers, £2.50 for a small coke out of the little bottles that you get in the pub and in some cases upto £9.00 for a 125ml glass of wine. A few beers on tap at resonable prices would make the world of difference.

Anyway... my food arrived swiftly and I was very impressed (hence the review). Fresh, tasty and excellent value. I would recommend anyone to come and try what they have on offer here. Spent Christmas day here in the restaurant deposit paid months in advance for 6 of us , unfortunately my father in law was ill so only 5 of us made it. Somebody thought it would be therefore okay to squash 4 adults and a 12 year old on a table of four. When I explained there wasn't enough room. my daughter was hanging off the end of the bench one of the waiters was quite abrupt stating everyone had paid a deposit and had been allocated their tables in advance. It was only when I replied that so had I that one of the waitresses stepped in and added another table on the end. We were very grateful for her help. The food wasn't great I have to say the tomatoe soup my grandson received was so thick you could have eaten it with a knife and fork. The Turkey was dry also not enough gravy when my son asked if he could have an extra portion of pigs and blankets we were refused, (by the waiter who was earlier abrupt), even though another table had some more. I could have gone on but didn't want to spend Christmas day complaining. I have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times before and the food was really nice I was really dissapointed by our experience having had high expectations . 435 .00 for 5 people is not cheap and I expected a better dining experience.

4 of us went on Friday night. The restaurant was all but empty. Our order was taken reasonably speedily, but no food or explanation came for 50 minutes and, even then, one main course had been completely forgotten and had to be prepared very rapidly, another 15 minute wait, which was extremely embarrassing for all of us. Only when all the food had been delivered, did the manager finally appear - he had been in the restaurant all the time - and apologised very nicely and reduced the bill. But paying less was no substitute for decent, let alone, good service. What was also particularly annoying and offensive was that each person who came to our table offered different excuses for the extreme delay. Frankly, a big hotel group like Hilton should be ashamed of such appalling service and lack of customer care. Surprisingly, the food itself was quite good. Otherwise, this would have been a no star review.

When my wife visited Liverpool with a friend a week or so ago I recommend the Doubletree as per my stay earlier this year. She did not end up staying here although did visit the restaurant with her friend. They had a travel zoo voucher which stated that food from menu can be ordered up to the value of a certain price. They were seated in restaurant by a young lad, not given any menues, not offered drink and he was not wearing a name badge. A waitress named Ashley then came over, apologies on behalf of the staff member who seated them and gave them a specific menu for travel zoo and took drinks order. This was not what was stated on travel zoo and they confronted Ashley about it. She replied with understanding and said she would get her supervisor to see if they could order from main menus. Guilermo the supervisor then sorted this issue out for them, very polite and understanding. Ashley then served for the rest of the night making sure everything was ok, chatting and giving a great service, had an intelligent conversation about the NHS and politics which was refreshing. Even though the beginning of the evening was not great the service from Ashley and Guilermo has prompted this 5 star review. Food was nice, went with Ashley’s recommendation of Lamb tagine and sabzi. My wife and her friend came away very pleased with the visit and had almost forgotten about the start to the evening whilst telling me about it. Great staff Koukash Restaurant, will all be visiting again.

Came here yesterday for a meal. Served by Ashley who was very friendly, chatty and smiley. Could see her walking around the restaurant chatting to other guests also. Think it’s a nice touch rather than a quick “everything ok” you get in most places. Had the beef kofta and seafood linguini. Kofta was a tad dry but the linguini was absolutely gorgeous! Only complaint is we had to use our torch to read menu as the restaurant is incredibly dark! Nice selection of wines but didn’t fancy anything from the cocktail list which is unusual for me. Would stay in the hotel again and would use this restaurant. Tad pricey on food but worth it in my opinion.

My best friend had her hen do here yesterday. We had a lovely time in the spa followed by a cocktail masterclass... I have to say that the masterclass topped our time here. Chris on the bar gave us our cocktail masterclass...he was not only professional in what he did but he provided us with so much fun and laughter all evening! Thank you so much Chris! You absolute star!

Stayed at the Doubletree for business. Breakfast was great! Very nice (although they should open earlier - didn’t open till 8am). Went for dinner - pretty terrible. Soup served cold with awful olive-filled bread. Club sandwich served cold, not real tasty. Place was empty - which should tell you something. Should you go here? Breakfast - absolutely! Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Had a late lunch of Sunday roast beef - very tasty and a nice sized serving. Nice bar area to eat in - very quiet when we arrived. If you are staying at the Doubletree by Hilton you should definitely plan a meal here.

Found the restaurant by pure chance on a weekend break to Liverpool (1st time visit). The restaurant is beautiful, lots of different tables & booths to choose from. We were delighted to be told that it was 'Fizz Friday' - a bottle of Prosecco was only £15! And there was a 20% discount off the food. We were really well looked after by our waitress - Ashley & waiter Chris. Both were extremely professional, welcoming, attentive & friendly. The prices are not spiteful - £15 for cod & chips, £20 for seafood linguine - absolutely lovely, large portions & piping hot. We didn't find the prices of food or wine expensive and you could always ask to see the price lists before asking for a table! Think some people think if a place looks posh - it's going to be overpriced, but we certainly didn't think that! The manager Ameer also came and introduced himself and we were asking about the decor of the restaurant, really interesting to find out who the owner is. We enjoyed our visit so much we went back the following night. Shame we don't live in Liverpool otherwise we would be regulars.

Arrived without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon. There were no other customers. Had a drink at the bar before being seated in restaurant. They have love lane beer pale ale on draught which is a nice local ale so impressive start. Sunday menu is a fixed priced 2/3 course one. I had halloumi chips to start and then sirloin of beef roast. I enjoyed the starter, the main was okay, the beef was the best part of the plate along with the Yorkshire pudding. The roast potatoes were too small and the veg selection were not to my preference (cauliflower cheese, parsnips) 2 courses for £19.95 isn’t bad. The service was very attentive and professional. The atmosphere wasn’t great with no other diners.

I had a business meeting in Liverpool and stayed at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel which had the Koukash Bar & Grill as its main dining area. The food choice was great (perhaps less choice for vegetarians diners) but a feature of each dish was that the portion size was seriously large. I had the haloumi for starters and the portion could easily have been halved - but it was nicely presented and tasted good. I had the roast for main course and here too, the food was tasty but again too much - I guess you can always leave what you don't want but that is not often de rigour. To cap it all I also had the cheese plate and was presented with about a third of a loaf and four large portions of different cheeses.

I hosted a baby shower here last week on the 2nd Feb, with afternoon tea. Now apparently, we were the first baby shower they had ever had there, but my word you could NOT tell! Absolute pros! I dealt with a lady called Jen, and from the first phone call, to the setting up of the private dining area, to making sure we had everything we needed all afternoon - she was excellent. The afternoon teas were lovely, and they very patiently waited to serve us until our late arrivals joined us! We were looked after all afternoon, not rushed at all. The place is beautiful. I can't recommend it enough!

We dropped in for coffee in the middle of the Liverpool Giants festival and found a lovely oasis of calm and style. After a warm welcome from the waiter we had good coffee and very good chocolate fudge cake, and were so comfortable we stayed for a mocktail and a G&T; (that was where the bartender's insider knowledge came in). We look forward to coming back, next time probably for a meal; prices were reasonable for the surroundings and atmosphere.

Stayed on business with a colleague. The staff are friendly and helpful, bit I just paid £20 for a medium/well steak without mushroom and pepper sauce, that came out WITH mushroom and no sauce and slices in small strips and way over done. Like dry !! Onion rings were the skin of onion, battered. Not impressed at all. It's not a cheap and cheerful place!! Hotel rooms etc are brilliant btw. Really nice.. Pity the bar/restaurant doesn't live up to the rest..

We used a groupon voucher for a prosecco afternoon tea for two people yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Firstly the service was excellent, with a special mention to our waiter Paul who made us feel very welcome. The food itself was gorgeous, sandwiches nice and fresh and the scones and cakes were really tasty - sometimes I think the little cakes can be a let down but these were lovely and we finished the lot with lovely coffees and prosecco to wash it down! My only tiny gripe is that it wasnt clotted cream served with the scones, but the whipped cream waa very nice. Would definitely recommend.

I walked around Liverpool all day and wanted some place quiet for a bit of supper. The bars and pubs in the area are noisy with crowds and music, and Koukash was a welcome haven. I had the fish and chips, which was very good. Great tartar sauce and nice mushy peas. My English friends wanted to know where the rest of the chips were since there were few on the plate, but I couldn't finish what I had, so it was not a problem for me. The fish portion was large, fresh, and perfectly fried. I also had a glass of tap water that included watermelon, juniper berries, lemon, lime, strawberries, and blueberries. The dessert with a really long name was good as well. Pastry dough soaked in orange juice served with housemade ice cream over chocolate nibs was light and delicious.
