Kolkata Indian & Bangladeshi Takeaway in Sheffield

We have ordered from here before and the food was ok . Tonight the food wasn’t good at all Cheap fatty chicken and lamb pretty tasteless. Couldn’t even get the poppadoms right (soft and burnt ) Reheated I suspect . Complete waste of money

Orderd a curry other day for me and the little un, it came a hour and half later. Lamb dopiazar was amazing but everything else was really poor. The time before ording from you, you missed stuff from my order. Its safe to say you've gone down hill

ordered our usual chicken curry, Saturday night treat 18/09/2021 when it arrived I couldn't wait to get stuck in, I was in for a shock onion bhajis were overcooked bordering on being burned but still ate them, Chicken curry was not what we are used to, used this curry takeaway for some time, the chicken curry was tough and watery, the only thing what was alright was the rice and chapatis. The next the was spent on the toilet. So not very good which is a pity, it was so nice before this never had a bad meal.

Lamb was very dry, could not chew, sauce was very bland. I normally collect and it's nice. Just clearly don't really care about loyal customers.

Some of the best Indian food we’ve had for along time.All food was hot and fresh and the lamb in the curries were cooked to perfection.I say sit back and enjoy your food ps the price was unbelievable.

The order has taken well over 2 hours to arrive. I received a text to say it's on it's way over 20 mins ago. We are 5 mins down the road, so when it eventually arrives, it will be cold.

We used to order from Kolkata and had a couple of great takeaways. We stopped when we were delivered a lamb dish with tough pieces of lamb that had come off a kebab skewer that were not meant to have as they’d ran out of meat and, rather than call us, replaced it with hard pieces of pre-cooked meat. Tonight, we gave it another chance, but never again. 3 hours, numerous calls, lied to...no delivery. Told it was going to leave soon, then with the wrong driver, then to check outside. Had to contact Uber Eats to get a refund because they were completely useless. Never, again. You’ve lost our custom completely and we’re disgusted at your lies.

App said it was delivered so I called and they hadn’t even finished preparing the food. Ordered at 19:30 and food didn’t arrive until gone 22:00.

The food was ok but some of the meat was missing from one of the meals and one of the curries didn't tease great

Decided on a chef's special with the Chicken Tikka Kathmandu and was absolutely delighted!! Delivery arrived bang on time and the service overall is really good. Would definitely recommend!

Normally love Kolkata, today it wasn’t great, bhaji were hard, chicken was weird, chewy?? Naan was dry, poppadoms were oddly burnt but soft! But disappointed to be honest as it’s normally amazing.

All the dishes tastes the same. Both chicken dishes were exactly the same. One of the veggie dishes ordered was bindi but they sent potato instead. Mediocre.

Got to say that tonight’s curry was exceptional. Easily one of the best I’ve had, would recommend highly! Service was quick too!!

Used to love the food, but stopped ordering because the delivery times were so slow. Tried them again and delivery was fast, but the food quality was way down.

Nah then lads. Wouldn't order from anywhere else. Lamb fell apart like butter. Chicken madras full of flavour. I could juggle those bhajis all day long. Unreal bruh.

The chicken tasted was totally not fresh. It left a bad taste in the mouth after eating it.

Food was ok but not enough spices used in my opinion, the naan and chapati was both cold which was a little disappointing and some of the chicken was a little dry. Wasn’t the worse curry but certainly not the best

Best curry I’ve had in a while the tawa gosht was lovely and tender and good amount of mint yoghurt.

We selected a dish and a sauce on just eat. Sauce didn't arrive, we called and were told there was an error with just eat and that dish did not have a sauce (we wouldn't have ordered it if we knew this was the case). No apology made or offer to correct. Also food was quite salty. To ensure review is balanced I have to say the food we did have (salt aside) was quite nice. We won't be using again though.

3 curries were lovely. Thank you Shame the plain burger meal came with cheese despite selecting no cheese. With salad despite selecting no salad. Ruined my sons meal. Seems that we cannot order a plain burger from an Indian takeaway. This seems to happen from many takeaways. Don’t know why.

Excellent. Really good quality all round. The Tikka Shobhuj my wife ordered was not quite spicy enough but she said the taste was amazing. Pasanda, naan and mixed starter were top notch. Beautiful and much more competitively priced than a lot of other Indian takeaways.

Lovely folks, poor food. I literally could have made better curry from a jar. Really wasn’t good, all of the curries tasted just the same, sickly sweet. No deep flavours or quality ingredients.

Curry was bland, food arrived 13 minutes from ordering. Chips contained flying insects.

Most of it was excellent but my meal contained burnt bits that was throughout the meal. Don't know if it came off the bottom of the pan or from the tandoori oven but I only had 3 mouthfuls and they had bits of carbon in them.

Food was hot when delivered. Very flavoursome and enjoyable. Delivery guy was brilliant. Will use again.
