Koks Wok in Newport

Piping hot and delicious. Crispy chicken balls and thick chunky prawn toast. So much better than the soggy balls we've had from other places.

An hour and 20 mins late even pre booked before opening ! Such a shame as the food is always brilliant

Great food and great customer service. They rang to tell us it would be 15 to 20 minutes late and apologised, but it only came about 5 minutes late in the end and was piping hot.

I always order from here. I’ll be hard pushed to find another Chinese takeaway that matches this one.

Excellent food and delivered early too

lovely meals but there was part of my order missing which was the prawn crackers that I ordered with it, but great meal otherwise.cant fault the rest of it.

Absolutely beautiful food. It arrived piping hot and was delivered really quickly. Its the nicest chinese we have ever tasted everything was stunning. I highly recommend koks wok. Best chinese in Newport.

Chips were brown and looked like the oil needed to be changed. Chicken balls looked and tasted reheated from yesterday. Curry was nice and beef was soft. Shame as the order wasn’t complicated so should have been much better. Haven’t used in a while and won’t be rushing back

second time ordering from here more because of value d saw the rating was high. the last time ordered I thought meh maybe that was a one off. This time I ordered will be my last. I had the chicken and sweetcirn soup. tasted like they added quite a bit of sugar, was way too sweet to eat. the mixed meat chow main was bland. no flavor and the beef was so chewy I couldn't eat it. they also forgot the prawn crackers so all in l was disappointed.

We ordered the House Special Chow Main and Rice which was described as Beef,Chicken with BBQ sauce, giving no concern or indication that Prawns were included which was a slight shock when my partner is allergic. We tried to call the restaurant with no luck and we were unable to eat the meal we paid for. Just Eat have their usual allergies guideline on the home page, but there was no concern reading the food description that made us think it contained shell fish. The driver was polite.

Food was both under cooked and over cooked. Curry sauce didn't taste correct - won't be ordering from them again.

OK it's Saturday night and I can expect a delay, but, from previous experience, when your food is delayed, you have to ring the take away and they just say "it's on its way" then it turns up 20 minutes later luke warm. Not here though. I received a call 2 minutes after the delivery was due to apologise then when it did turn up only a matter of 20 minutes later (acceptable on the weekend) it was piping hot and one of the tastiest Chinese meals I've had in ages. Defo be a regular thing now.5 stars

I requested a partial refund from JustEat for our food, which was unsatisfactory to poor, but they refused to provide any refund, so I am writing a reviewThis was some of the worst Chinese food we’ve had in a long time. The chicken and pork tasted old, the chow mien noodles were small, shrivelled, and swimming in brown, watered-down sauce, and the special fried rice was also shrivelled and dry. We ordered four different dishes and three used the same, old-smelling chicken, pork and beef slices.

Despite the delivery being late, the food was really nice and was delivered for the first time, hot. This was the first time I actually received hot food and the delivery driver was very polite. I would definitely recommend this place.

Food was absolutely awful, took so long to get to me Curry sauce- tasted like soap Chicken in lemon sauce- chicken tasted powdery and the sauce didnt even taste like lemon sauce Mini Spring Rolls- Tasted like they were cooked in chemicals Chicke. Chow Main and Muchroom Fried Rice- tasted like they had no flavouring Hot and Spicy wings- tasted awful Absolutely will not be ordering again

Once again absolutely shocking service from just eat last time my order never turned up this time my order was over and hour late will never ever be using just eat again!
