It was my first visit to Sutton branch, attention to customer service was on the spot, staff who welcomed and served me was a lady from Nepal, very cordial and warm welcome. Food was amazing, will definitely visit again.

When i have tried kokoro food last month which i ordered via delivaroo.that's cold and so hard to eat.today i ate at shop it's was different taste and fresh.i was happy for their improvement.i ate sweet chilli,rice and spicy pork.it's mine 2nd time in kokoro.i will visit again.🙂

Nice place to eat in person but I absolutely do not recommend delivery. Items were missing, food was cold when it arrived and chicken was hard and incredibly spicy. I had to raise an issue via the Deliveroo app which was refunded 1 out of 2 items that were missing. The Chicken (Katsu - one out of several meals) was hard and there was barely any chicken, all batter. Do not recommend! Salmon was tasted off as well as the tuna in the sushi. Why call it fresh when it clearly isn't?

I have experienced the food given is surely of not best quality because it’s take away and have always been cheated meaning less quantity then normal and quality requires a lot of attention.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience in Sutton Kokoro restaurant on I ordered a meal but upon payment Unfortunately I found no available seating due to insufficient CHAIRS “not crowding” When I requested a takeaway bag and cover to enjoy my meal elsewhere: those staff refused my request and insisted I wait. Given that I paid the 20% eat-in VAT, it is reasonable to expect accommodations for a takeaway under the circumstances. Their responses were not only unhelpful but also impolite, which left me feeling disappointed. I hope you will address this issue to ensure better service in the future . Thank you for your attention.

Save your money. I Ordered from here via Deliveroo. Worse decision I ever made. Food was of poor quality. Katsu Chicken and sweet chilli chicken tasted stale and old (1-2 days old if I had to guess). Food made me feel very Nauseous and sick.

No effort to clean or clear the tables. I had a very disappointing katsu. While sat near the serving area I watched just-cooked food getting tipped out on top of stuff that had been under the lights for some time. Not impressive. Lots of praise in other reviews for the sushi, so I guess that’s better. But I won’t be getting hot food there again.

Got take out from Kokoro. The sushi was OK, but the cooked food was terrible. Especially the bulgobi beef, which wasn't bulgobi beef it was large chunks of overcooked beef. It was completely inedible.

Had an all salmon set today. The quality of the two slices of the sashimi was really good. The salmon nigiri was ok. Salmon and avocado rolls were good. The wasabi was spicy which was good.

We popped in for lunch, and the food was delicious, as usual. The sushi was very fresh, the hot meal charming, and the chicken was tender, but I asked the lady behind the desk to give me an empty pot, and I was surprised that I had to pay £ 0.50 p CASH, which is unusual at other branches they've never asked for any money it is just a cardboard pot 🤷‍♀️

Popped in for a bite to eat alone after late night shopping. The lady manager was screaming at her poor staff and there were bike delivery drivers all hanging around. It was an awful experience and very uncomfortable to hear how she treated her staff. She even shouted (word for word) at the poor girls working there ‘it really pisses me off!!!’ In front of all the customers. Totally unacceptable and aggressive behaviour. This was around 7pm on 21/12/23.

ordered box with meat and rice, they put 99% rice and just few pieces of meat (sour chicken), and rice probably was cooked day before, i can’t eat this rice at all.

Really gone downhill. Chilli chicken is basically tasteless, so much so that the only flavours are sugar and black pepper. No salt, no spice, no seasonings. The chicken is now rubbery lumps with soggy skin. You get given a ton of flavourless rice with a tiny amount of chicken, if you get the large size, you get more rice but no more chicken. All you can taste of the meal is boiled rice, you wouldn't know what flavour the food is supposed to be. This used to be so good, now it's worse than tasteless.

Cool spot in sutton for a quick tasty Japanese lunch

A popular place and for good reason. The large chicken katsu curry is more than enough for lunch; chances are you'll have some leftover for a pre-dinner snack! Sometimes I'll get the chicken gyoza to go with it. I can't fault how much food you get for the money, and at virtually the same price as a McDonalds these days, having a Kokoro instead is a no-brainer. The staff often seem a little rushed, so it would be good to have a few more hands behind the counter. The eat-in area is quite small and fills up very quickly.

The tofu karsu curry was very bad. I didn't like the taste made me feel sick.

The food options are good. I tried Katsu curry but did a mistake of taking the curry on the rice and not seperately. I could see in my large pot the curry was not enough for the whole portion of rice. chicken sweet chilli and sushi options are very nice.They also have vegetarian only sushi option.

The food tastes nice and the presentation of the boxes look cozy. They provide soya sauce, wasabi and chopsticks (additional cutlery can be demanded) Next time I'll try a eat-in lunch to see the service and atmosphere. Rate: 7/10

I have been to multiple Kokoro restaurants across the UK. The food is yummy and you get a decent portion size with lots of choice available, both hot and cold. For ‘fast food’ it tastes fresh and hot. I gave 4/5 stars for this Sutton restaurant as the staff allowed 2 people to cut the que of which I had been waiting 20 minutes already. They seem flustered by the amount of deliveroo orders coming in and off the street customers.

The service is terrible, they’re spending to much time worrying about the delivery drives which now means the customer Service diminished. Then on top of that I got home and my chicken was under cooked.

Food was great .but if you're a first timer you'd be on your own like picking your own fork(not packed with food) and no offer of or drink in sight anywhere

This was my first time visiting Kokoro. Value for money was excellent. The food was hot and more than plentiful. Although this was a "fast food" outlet and most people use it as a takeaway there were a few tables in side snd out. It was very clean. Thankyou ladies for a pleasant late lunch with my grandson.

Food quality is great. but seems like the rice to side dish portion has leaned more to rice recently. Practically the whole box is rice for a regular.

Teriyaki salmon is definitely yucky 🤢! over cooked, chewy and awful. Leaves a terrible aftertaste. Don't waste your money, it's even worse if you're ordering through deliveroo! You can't return it for an exchange.

When the last time. I've been overcharged. They charged twice for the drink.2nd time I paid £3.70 for Coke I think it's out of order. Small chicken katsu with noodles and drink cost me nearly £14. Also staff very rude.

Excellent portions for a reasonable price. Order the large beef. It's an excellent choice. One huge set back is food safety. The cook brought out a pan of freshly prepared food and dropped it on the old food. That is not proper food safety. They should bring the new food out in a new pan and drop the older food on the freshly cooked food. Otherwise the older food doesn't get eaten and can spoil. Maybe that's why they have a "4" as their food rating. They need to be aware of this and put it into practice.

FOOD POISONING! Had the beef bulgogi. 8 hours later I was projectile vomiting over my bath tub whiles loosing 4-5 pints of brown fluid on the toilet. This went on for hours, by the end I was just throwing up green bile. My body was trembling uncontrollably, I honestly thought I might die. People be cautious of this Kokoro, I never write reviews but for obvious reasons I feel I must warn people

( deliveroo)❗️❗️❗️❗️All food was ok but one disappointed so much, we paid almost 10£ ( Seafood Udon ) in picture looked so yummy 😋 but what we got it was a joke , just one little shrimp ( in pictures what a lot more for sure) maybe one or even just half crabstick .. it was just noodles and stock ...... really disappointed‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️DO NOT BUY THAT ( Seafood Udon) waist off money. Awesome vegetarian katsu curry and good portion size

I have got very bad stomach and food poisoning after the sweet chilli chicken meat was very hard plus staff don't even wear gloves while dishing it.

I was a little scared to try the vegetarian options as usually the veg options in these kind of places are hot Garbo but here it’s SO GOOD. I only got to try their tofu katsu curry and it’s so delicious. The tofu is really nice, like really really nice it has a crunchy coating like chicken or pork katsu. My only gripe with the tofu was that it could have been a little firmer but that’s literally it, it was really good. The katsu curry sauce itself was so warm and hearty and filling, it also hit me with a wave of nostalgia which was nice 😩✋ the katsu was so hearty, savoury and comforting I can’t get over it. They do not slack on the curry either they add the perfect amount for the rice AND THE RICE OMG the rice is so good it has the perfect texture it’s just so tasty. The portion is really big which I didn’t expect. I was a little apprehensive to order tofu katsu as I went to a certain restaurant in Ireland and ordered the same thing and they just added boiled unseasoned tofu to the katsu sauce which was more like coconut curry and I was scarred for life but I was so happy when I saw how kokoro makes their tofu :)
