I had the egg fried rice with sweet and sour chicken. It was DELICIOUS. The dumplings are good too. The portion size was fantastic as well! Definitely recommend!

The sweet and sour chicken with fried rice was too good. I also ordered Udon noodles. I have never had Udon before and I just didn’t like the way they felt. I wasn’t expecting this but the person behind the counter let me have anything else without any further charges. Absolutely fantastic customer seevice will recommend especually to students.

Awful place. I watched in horror as a staff member dropped chopsticks on the floor, picked them up and PUT THEM IN SOMEONES ORDER BAG.

Fantastic place with great food (the salmon teriyaki and tofu katsu curry are my particular favourites), huge portions too. Really friendly staff (who once even replaced my food for free after I dropped it outside like a 🤡 - completely my fault yet they shown great kindness). I go at least twice a week for lunch and have been for many months.

One of the quick chow places in Leeds. The portion size is very good and the food is excellent. Recommend the mix and match to try different items available. 5⭐ stuff.

Snack food shop of crazy many portion. I have ordered curry Katsu chicken rice and Korean chilli pork noodle. Katsu chicken is highly recommended but make sure you are hungry enough. The quantity of katsu chicken is really respectful. The noodle with the chilli sauce is a bit like the noodle I ate in a snack shop at a train station of Hong Kong. Personally I think it is a comfort food. Both are good. Overall, it is fast to order and the location is convenient.

I have tried a lot of things from there and they are tasty but in the end everything is a little bit too sweet. Good for the price ☺️

Excellent quality sushi and chicken dishes. We had the Salmon lover set & sweet Chilli Chicken with Noodles on our first visit, both were very tasty however the Sweet Chilli sauce is quite hot. On the second visit we had the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles & the Katsu Chicken with Noodles, both had good flavour and would have again. Overall great food to be had here.

The food was bad tase like preheated for my chicken and I think that because they almost close I came around 8:20 but the rice was nice also the teste of flavour was different Thant what sweet chilli was like

Ordered a sweet chilli. You'd find more chicken in a vegetarian restaurant. An abundance of rice with a lousy amount of chicken.

I had thought that this was a restaurant and I suppose loosely it could be called that. However, it is more of a takeaway with a couple of tables available to eat the food. That said, I was not at all disappointed with the food and would return again, but this time realising it wasn't a restaurant in the sense I was expecting

Really delicious and for reasonable prices too, especially the sushi! Took my friend here and she loved her beef bulgogi. I’ve also had katsu chicken rice bowl which was so filling, and their Korean chilli chicken was slightly sweet but had a good amount of heat. All in all, my favourite place to get affordable sushi!

Delicious food, good sized portions, friendly staff and quick service - what more could you want. Regular is a very good sized portion don’t go large unless you are sharing!

I’m full with one bowl but the chicken is wow very nice and the curry sauce is good which taste like indian maggi but wow nice experience very good if you guys want only chicken or anything friendly suggestion just ask separate because they give everything with noodles and if we get separate the cup in which they give they gonna charge 50p but if u like with noodles ask them what u want but if u just want chicken veggie fish ask them separate but must try in leeds. It says halal but they serve pork i asked them they said for pork they use different oil

Serve wrong food but the staff attitude is very annoyed. Serve the low quality salmon sashimi.

Rude staff! waited a while to be told there wasnt enough of what I wanted- they should at least call out to the people waiting as most places have spare food ready when they run out

I used to really love it here and previously had this at 5* for a couple years, quality of the food was great and the price was reasonable. Now the quality of the food has gone really downhill, they did sticky rice before, now it's more like rice pudding. The katsu chicken is poor quality too. However, the prices have continued to rise to a crazy amount for what it is.

Great food and lovely service, the lady behind the counter is always really lovely and generous. I eat here often and have tried a lot of the food, it’s all great, especially the sweet chilli, katsu curry, and salmon teriyaki. Definitely recommend!

The best sushi I have had in a long time! I could not think of something that they could improve. The lady behind the counter was very nice and waved me goodbye. The prices are not too bad either :).

Fairly decent, some nice flavours. I had the spicy pork with noodles and spicy it definitely was. Service was fairly quick and the seating area seems to vacate quick enough if you want to eat in. The tables could do with a bit more of a regular clean though. I would eat there again but with the vast array of choices in the centre for similar food it may be a while before I'm back

Noodle is to hard eat , after letting the manager know, then told it back and heated up with microwave, even after this still too hard . So I end up ask the manager for a refund , and then because I been eaten a small amount, I only got half of the money back

Cheap and cheerful. Sweet chilli chicken with rice from the hot counter is nice, quite spicy too. Opt for a regular as it can be filling for the portion size. Also try the Aloe Vera mango drink! Heavenly. Only critique is that we weren't given any napkins and couldn't find any either. Restaurant is small and cramped and there aren't any bins? Felt bad for just leaving our empties on the table so can get a bit messy

A really good golden sauce and katsu chicken. A bit spenny for lunch but if you’re really hungry and want something hot the portion sizes are fair. Also the people who work there are nice. Got me a free lil snack for waiting a bit longer for the rice without saying anything to them.

Me and my mates each got a large sweet chilli chicken really good quality, good portion size plenty of chicken and rice, ready to eat no waiting around. Would highly recommend

Massive portion of good-tasting good. Can't go wrong with it really, I went for the Teriyaki chicken with fried rice and was impressed. It is a tad on the pricier side for takeaway food but nonetheless would prefer it over cheaper, processed alternatives.

Wow! Put this place on the map! My wife brought me home a feast from here for my birthday, and it was sensational! Big portions for a sushi place, and absolutely delicious. She also remarked on how friendly the lady who served her was. Highly recommended.

We've discovered Kokoro about half a year ago with my family and now we are addicted! Every time we have business in the city we have lunch there and it's always second to none! The staff is so friendly I would honestly go back just because of them, the menu has something for everyone, even my very fussy eater children have their favourites, my husband says the food is just like what he had in Japan and there are excellent vegan dishes for me too. Don't be fooled by the size of this place, it definitely is one of the best places in Leeds!

My go to fast food place for Japanese/ Korean hot food. Would definitely come back again and again. The portions they give are quite generous. You'd feel satisfied and full after having a serving.

Tasty tofu curry. Yet they advertise salmon dishes and cod roe dishes, as vegetarian. Incorrect and totally irresponsible labelling. Also they leave tofu in a display dish with meat and fish items. Shocking.

- The Beef Bulgogi is nice. But the fact they put sauce and rice together means the rice at the bottom of the bowl are all soaked. - A bit pricey I would say compare to similar places (Wasabi up the road, in this case) - No label on the hot counter so had to ask what the dishes are - I thought this place was an independent business but they are actually a franchise. Feels like the Leeds store is badly managed. - The staff should smile and be more welcoming. - They charge 10p for a bag!!!!!!!!!

I am a sushi lover. When I eat , I know of their quality. If I buy from supermarket, I know that it is not fresh , it seems that they made then sell it with 2-3 days. When I go to Kokoro, I know that their sushi is very nice taste and fresh. I asked their staff and just found that they made new sushi every day so that’s why their sushi is so..so..super fresh.!!! Since then I never go to others supermarket again

Amazing food, this is the first time I’ve been here and I was blown away by the taste and flavours of the chicken katsu curry. We had a regular portion and this was enough for two servings easy, the portions are MASSIVE. The lady was piling the food in the pot (these are deceptively large) The service was quick, we were seated and eating within 5 mins if ordering! Thanks for such a pleasant experience on a busy Saturday.

Vegan tofu bites were carelessly placed in a tray with chicken pieces. I raised it as a concern and was told the manager wanted it like this! Was unable to purchase and left with a bad taste in my mouth. Not even worth one star!

One of the few times I've ever thrown food away. Chicken on noodles in a tiny bowl - the oil came higher than the noodles! The noodles tasted weirdly like ketchup as well, like something that has way too much ketchup. One of the staff sat next to me while I was eating as well to take her break. She ate and spoke on her phone very loudly.

We order in for office lunch and can say that the food is ALWAYS cooked to perfection - My favourite place to eat lunch in Leeds!! 😍

love this place if your trying it for the first time get the sweet chili chicken noodles, even if you get the small size the ladies always fill it up to the top. They said its halal as well. only thing is if ordering late sometimes the chicken is not as tender but that's normal I guess, but try it out

I am a frequent Kokoro customer as it is my favourite in Leeds, but recently I realised a significant price discrepancy from in-store to Deliveroo. For example, Chicken Katsu Curry in-store costs 7£, and in Deliveroo, the price is 9.75£ for the same item. This is a 40% difference in pricing. I am sure that the same also happens with all the things in the catalogue. There are no excuses. And I have tried multiple times buying from in-store and delivery, and this is the case. So my advice is that yes, the food is excellent but low ethics for a new local store looking to convert into a nationwide food chain. Try it but only with pick up. Happy someone to prove me wrong.

The spicy pork was ridiculously over spiced, so much so it was inedible. I fished out ten whole dried red chillis, but still couldn't finish it.

Yes now you're talking, friendly chirpy staff, let you sample if you dont know what it is, get here quick because its nearly all gone by time they shut at 7pm. All the sauces I've tried have been awesome and its a nice clean establishment, all very well cooked. Top banana.

Poor food, poor service with aggressive attitude, don’t even turn on food menu screens, small portion atrocious quality, no flavour, over price slop only fit for pigs. Pls avoid this low level amateur establishment!!!

I love Japanese food and this is the best I have had in Leeds, alongside Little Tokoyo. The food portions are absolutely massive I should have taken a picture I got the mix and match teriyaki chicken and sweet and sour there was honestly SO MUCH chicken. I loved it had to eat it in two sittings as the portions were a lot bigger then excepted. The only suggestion I would have is having a few veggies in there, other then that PERFECT. Thank you to the people that work here you are doing brilliant also thanks for the super generous portions I would say one of the hot meals could feed two ! also the sushi is divine with loads of options to choose from tuna, crab, salmon, prawn, chicken. I will order from here again in the future worth the money.
