Amazing lunch spot. My order was processed in error without me noticing meaning I was overcharged by a small amount. Refreshing to see the error pointed and a swift refund issued! Was back the next week

Had takeaway before but recently tried the hot food, portions are good, the regular size is more than enough for lunch, good value for money

One of my favourite places to eat in Nottingham. The politest, most welcoming staff, the seating area is always very clean, reasonably priced and very tasty food. Can't fault it.

staff are so so polite and engaged food is absolutely incredible prices are slightly higher than other “fast food” vendors but that is because the quality is 10x better and the overall experience is remarkable

The food was quite disappointing for the price you pay, there are better options. I had the Salmon teriyaki, i found it too much sauce and to get to the rice/noodles below, you need to eat some of the salmon to get there. Positive note you do get alot of salmon for the large. At the end of it, i need a cup of tea to wash the taste away.

The staff are amazing and friendly, always offering samples for the food so you can see what you’d like. The portions are huge for the price and great value, I have to recommend the miso soup and the sushi. A must visit.

They made the onigiri thinner but more expensive. It s not nice to do that …. Almost 4pounds for a very thin onigiri with very little industrial tuna

The service staff lady was very nice and I would have liked her a lot more if she didn’t immediately microwave my noodles in front of me and tell me it’ll take a bit. Girl I know that microwave was on for 2 minutes. Me and my friend got the chicken kastu curry and her was impeccably wet whilst mine was so dry I couldn’t even taste the Katsu flavour. Nonetheless, it was at least piping hot when we ate it but I DID FIND A NOSE HAIR in the noodles. I don’t know what the hygiene rating is but that’s disgusting either way. I don’t really mind microwaved noodles but for £8 that is ridiculous.

Prices have gone up this year and it was expensive for a lunch snack to begin with. Servers are very pleasant but it depends on which one you serves you as to how much of the meat portion you get.

The best food I have eaten in a long long time! I got the mix and match bowl in which I chose the chicken curry and chicken teriyaki. I had this with steamed rice. The first mouthful was heaven, the chicken thigh melts in your mouth, the flavour is insane ! The best end to my day. Can’t wait to go back. Please try it if you haven’t tried it! I will be raving about this place for awhile

I used to love this place as you used to get great quality, very reasonable portion and price ratio. However, after being a regular customer for the past well, nearly 10 months, all of it has greatly changed. I used to always get a regular sized meal to go that was a sufficient lunch, the price has increased 3 times over then past 4 months and the portions just keep getting smaller and smaller. This afternoon I gott served by a lady who only put one spoonfuls of meat in my rice, compared to 2.5 that you usually see them packing into your bowl. The food is still good for what it is. However, for a very similar price, you can get a nice poke bowl too, so I would think twice before returning.

The salmon and tuna were lovely, a bit expensive, but for the quality, it's worth it for a special night out. Although the shrimp did taste fishy, the rest tasted fresh.

If I want sushi for lunch, this is where I come now. Way, way better than the pre-packed stuff from the supermarkets - although you pay twice the price, you get probably three times the amount and 10 times the quality! I tend to get the Salmon/Tuna Love Set: you get loads of delicious, fresh sushi for a tenner. Awesome. They also do loads of other Japanese food which looks great athough I haven't tried it. The upstairs dine-in area is very minamalist, which is not to my taste, and feels a little cramped, so I tend to take away and enjoy the sushi back at my office!

Good place to grab a quick bite if you like chicken, noodles and rice. Also pumpkin croquette curry is very nice.

Had the deluxe nigiri and roll set, the rice was too warm, a strange flavour, not like usual kokoro sushi... I'm amazed this shop has 4.9 stars?! The Canterbury branch of Kokoro is waaay better. Very disappointing.

Staff are nice, unfortunately food is just okay and seems overpriced for what it is. I had salmon teriyaki with rice and my friend had sweet and sour chicken with rice, both portions had too much rice and too little meat ratio, food that we had tasted okay. Over counter they gave us to try other bits and wasn't too impressed, especially Korean bulgogi didn't taste like Korean bulgogi, more as boiled beef. I would possibly try their sushi just out of curiosity next time but I won't have any of the hot dishes. They have seating downstairs and upstairs which is a bonus. Update* katsu udon is good

my all time favorite sushi place in nottingham. prices are perfect, sushi is delicious, the sashimi tastes fresh, the staff are wonderful. i could eat here everyday if i had the opportunity. nearly ever sushi is wonderful and i’ve tried most of them!! right in city center as well so very convenient. It's a restaurant close to Old Market Square, very well organized, staff is very nice and helpful when trying to understand the options on the menu. Great food quality for a really good price. Very spacious on the inside and very clean. Would recomend trying it out if you like asian food. Will go again.

Food is ok but the price is high for the small portion size and I saw them using the microwave to heat up the food No soy sauce, vinegar, chilli oil or anything offered either. Great service though!

My absolute favourite place to go eat in Nottingham! The food is delicious and they make sure you get your moneys worth as the portions are perfect. You even have some leftover and even then its just as delicious. Personally I think it's very affordable and I recommend it to all my friends. Not to mention the service, all the employees are so lovely and polite and it's just a really welcoming atmosphere!!!

It's OK. It doesn't quite compare to other rice/noodle box chains. I can't comment on the Sushi but the meat in the bowls wasn't the best quality for the price.

When I walk in to this place, I feel like I’m home. The guys are so nice and kind, they alway smile to you and they always say thanks and you’re welcome. They take care about the costumer service with love. Then they complete this picture with an amazing and delicious food! I’m a chef and I know what a fresh food looks like, and their food, is always fresh and tasty! Really well done!

I was told that Kokoro is the Japanese word for heart. From the food, the service to the restaurant itself, you can tell that this name fits perfectly. I had an excellent experience and will be surely returning on future.
