Not bad sushi, on a par with other popular places. I didn't like the rice with chicken. All in all, it was an OK place

Seriously poor quality food, actually struggled to upload these photos because of how sick the chicken makes me feel. Chicken either looks raw or like it’s been left out for weeks. I have no idea how they’re even getting away with this. Will be waiting for my refund.

Freshly made healthy Sushi 🍱 and tasty Hot rice & noodle bowls. Lots to choice from, including Tuna, Salmon, Veggie, Chicken etc. Very reasonable prices. Clean and tidy premises, they have seating and toilets upstairs. However not much heating, bit cold inside.

I've been to this restaurants franchise in leicester and in nottingham and this chain in nottingham has smaller portion sizes and the chicken is cheaper, either using cheap waste cuts of chicken meat for the chilli chicken or using boiled nasty mushy chicken for a different bowl. I haven't tried the sushi but its disappointing that this chain has this much lower quality than the kokoros in leicester, it feels like it's literally owned by a cheap chinese business man who takes cuts on the food quality to make profit. I've been here twice and both times left me disappointed

only complaint was the food ratio, i ordered a chicken teriyaki with rice. My bowl was split into thirds; the one third was chicken teriyaki whilst the other two thirds were rice. its quite annoying cause you mix the food hoping for the sauce to spread however you will be eating rice for 20 mins. Don't get me wrong, the food is tasty and i will shop here again but my only complaint is the proportions!

I found the customer service & the environmemt in Kokoro to be exceptional, everyone was so lovely and kind, the food was still made fresh, even when we came late. The best Japanese restaurant in Nottingham! I really like this place, the food is amazing. Love the chicken katsu and the sweet & sour chicken. Also highly recommend the katsu roll & fried chiken gyoza. Definitely worth a visit !

i always ordered kokoro but today i ordered salmon sashimi off deliveroo but it wasnt fresh at all and u could definitely smell the fishy smell when its not fresh . I had stomach problems after eating although i have always ordered kokoro sushi this experience will definitely refrain me from eating this ever again

Sort of a hidden gem on the way to Old Market square from broadmarsh. We had sushi here and it was very delicious satiating along with being decently priced.

I finally found a restaurant that serves authentic, simple, hearty and delicious udon in Nottingham! There are so many choices to choose from as well and if I don’t know what to eat, this will be my go to place for something quick, simple, healthy and tasty, I will definitely come to here again and again, especially I never get tired of good udon🤤 Most importantly, the owner is a very nice and kind ahjussi! He was so patient when we were deciding and when we mentioned we had a bad dining experience the night before, he treated us to a free tuna onigiri 🍙🥹 Tasty food, clean environment, friendly staff, and a kind owner—I couldn’t ask for more.

Honestly one of the best places to eat and a favourite of so many I know. The staff is excellent, the service is quick, precise, and extremely friendly. The food on top of all of this is some of the best you can get. It’s a calm, casual atmosphere, but the food hits all the right spots. My personal favourite is the Shrimp Gyoza’s and the Salmon Teriyaki with rice. All in all, I couldn’t suggest this place enough, it’s awesome.

Favorite food here! The sweet and chilly chicken is very tasty. The service is so nice, they treat everyone with smile. Always take away but the seats on second floor is also a good place to stay.

This is one of my go to sushi places in Nottingham. However, on my visit last Saturday, I saw the sushi guy sneezed with his gloves on and forgot to wash his hands or change the gloves.

I went for a sushi plater and wasn't disappointed. There's an amazing selection for a very reasonable price, and I would definitely recommend it.

I've been a regular at this Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant since it first opened, visiting more than three times a week. As a second-year university student who doesn’t cook much, it's not easy for me to find good Korean or Japanese food nearby, but this place has been a lifesaver. The location is ideal, just a short walk from my dorm, and they offer a wide variety of dishes—from sushi and donburi to udon and side dishes. The staff are always incredibly friendly, and the owner’s generosity is unmatched. My personal favourites are the bulgogi and the chicken katsu udon. Occasionally, I also grab an onigiri on my way to class, which is super convenient. Overall, it’s the perfect spot for a quick, tasty meal with a welcoming atmosphere.

The sushi here is excellent, especially the salmon, which is fresh and cut thick, making it very flavorful. If you're trying the onigiri (rice balls), I highly recommend the one with cooked tuna – it's definitely a standout. Since the restaurant mainly focuses on cupbap (rice bowls), I have to say the bulgogi and chicken curry are both delicious options. The sides, especially the fried items, are crispy, warm, and perfect for snacking. Plus, the portions are generous, making it great value for money. The restaurant is also well-maintained and very clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive, which makes the dining experience even better.

we travelled from derby to come to this kokoro, the employees welcomed us so warmly and gave us complimentary prawn tempura for coming for so far! we came in 6 mins before closing and were so lovely!! Thank you all so much !

This is my GO TO lunch spot! The portions are amazing as well as the taste. I would recommend to everyone :) The staffs are also very lovely and welcoming which always makes the experience 2x better.

Amazing lunch spot. My order was processed in error without me noticing meaning I was overcharged by a small amount. Refreshing to see the error pointed and a swift refund issued! Was back the next week

staff are so so polite and engaged food is absolutely incredible prices are slightly higher than other “fast food” vendors but that is because the quality is 10x better and the overall experience is remarkable
