Kokoro in Bromley

I bought some sushi at lunchtime for dinner. I have no idea how old this was or what went wrong but the rice was hard and tasted days old. You can get better sushi in the cheapest supermarket. There is no date on the sushi and I thought it would be sold fresh but this must have been days old. I just hope I won’t get ill overnight

Wasted money. I went for a mixed hot box and took sweet & chicken and chicken katsu as toppings with a rice base. The only positive was that the portions are huge, so if you are very hungry or with someone to share, you have more than enough to eat. But what’s the point of the food is just bad? Both toppings didn’t have any taste, save for s called sweet & sour chicken that in reality was a chilli chicken that caused unpleasant burn in my mouth. I tried few bites and sadly had to throw everything else to the bin. Just horrible eating experience and wasted £10. Will never visit again

Another disappointing order! Food arrived cold. Missing items. No reasonable way to get in touch with shop to try and get a replacement! Absolutely ridiculous 🙄

I don't leave a bad review lightly. We have been 4 times now as a family of four and spent nearly £50 each time and they have not been friendly or polite and refused to give our two boys (aged 6 and 8) a cup of tap water forcing us to buy water. We go to the Sevenoaks branch - they don't have a page here on Trip advisor - and it was dreadful service today. The young girl serving us this afternoon was blunt to a point of being rude, unhelpful and the chap that came in after us for a take away asked her why she was being so rude and left rather shocked at her behaviour.

Really disappointed we asked for sweet and sour chicken and basically we got the dregs of what seemed to be left overs, this seemed to include tofu!!! The food was grey dull and made me feel quite nauseous! Also got 3 spring rolls which were hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Clearly no concern for customers just give them what’s left. I’ve kept it invade I get food poisoning so it can be tested. Never again will I purchase from this establishment

Love that scrumptious sushi on Kokoro Bromley. With best quality service, and fresh ingredients used. Amazing and delicious. Staff is so polite and helpful with great communication. Will recommend mist to try sushi. 😊👍

2nd time ordering and the last! The food was less than average and all cold....and not just the sushi! The chicken was chewy, the noodles were stone cold, and the pork was very salty; altogether a very disappointing delivery. Such a shame as previous we collected an order & it was good.

The food tastes nice and dishes popular with kids. But the poor cleaning practice of the front of house is very worrying and does not bode well for the kitchen downstairs.

A great restaurant with a great taste and good value for money. The chicken curry is very good value for money and the harmony between curry and chicken curry is fantastic. The salmon served at this restaurant must be very fresh. This restaurant offers much better food than the similar franchise restaurant "Wasabi".

Needed a quick pre theatre snack... it’s quick! I’m eating low carb at present & hoped there’d be stir fry or something reasonably healthy on offer. Sadly all the salads had been sold. The only thing not covered in breadcrumbs was some spicy pork which was rather congealed & not pleasant. I asked the staff whether they had any meat/prawns they could add to the miso soup but they could not have been less helpful, looking blank & replying “it doesn’t come with meat”. Very disappointing; both the service and the food.

Last time I checked, Scotland was part of the UK including Bromley, England. This place would not accept my Royal Bank of Scotland £20 note. I paid with my Canadian credit card. 🙄🤬 The Salmon teriyaki dish comes complete with fish skin and other unidentifiable bits. The teriyaki is so sweet I couldn’t eat it all. Managed to get the rice out, which was not to bad. We will never be back here.

The quantity it great. They allow you to take 1/2 and 1/2 (meaning you can try 2 dishes with rice / noodles in the same container) Cheaper if you take out rather than dine in Must try the spicy pork and sweet and spicy chicken...delicious! Having said that, the spices may not go well with everyone's gut so be prepared if you end up crapping more than usual the next day...

I love the food here, great for lunch or dinner. A little more expensive than it used to be but you get a decent portion. They recently started providing smaller portions, which is perfect. The staff are friendly, and they have a good range of sushi as well.

I dont know about you, but I do not consider crab sticks and fish shapes as seafood ! My 'udon with seafood' contained just these 'things' with no seafood at all. When I returned the said dish I was told 'its made the same everywhere' Not in the Japenese restaurants I've been to either in the UK or Tokyo I said. The miso soup was pretty poor aswell

If you’re looking for good Asian food you will love Kokoro. It’s rich and full of flavour and as popular as they are, even in the busiest times they’re able to turn around food for each person in good time. Prices might seem slightly higher but well worth the treat. Will return!

I often get the vegetarian sushi from here but sometimes thier stock runs out and isn't replenished halfway through the day. However when I can get my hands on it, the sushi is great. The udon soup is very average, and overpriced!

Nice and fresh food, lovely staff. However needs some cleaning as the tables are always sticky and dirty

Over priced for what it is. Food is okay but most of the time quite dry. Sushi is always out of stock especially with all salmon set( consider making more stock). The staff are very un professional and on their phones (one girl was on the phone whilst working having a gossip).

Wasabiと似た感じのホットフードがあります。味は悪くないけど、ごはんがややべっちょり。それと、量のわりには高いように思います。焼きそばはソースがしっかり効いてておいしかったです。

WeI are Vegan and chose the spicy tofu. It was too spicy for us and way too oily. We thought the queue out the door was because it was popular, turns out the staff are very very slow.

I went to Kokoro the other day for lunch and wanted to see what all the fuss was about...

This place does THE best Katsu. Huge portions in a regular cup so it keeps you full for ages. Always a queue at lunch and dinner times which is a good sign

A small but good selection of Chinese food served up quickly. Perfect if you're craving Asian food on the go!

Ordered my usual vegetarian sushi , seaweed salad along with vegetarian spring rolls and vegetatian gyoza. Spring rolls arrived stone cold. Gyoza arrived stone cold and the seaweed salad was missing.

Absolutely brilliant food, would highly recommend this restaurant for eating in and getting a delivery.

Really nice food and reasonably priced. A very welcome addition to the Bromley food scene. The chilli chicken was lovely and the service was very friendly.

If you like a Chicken Katsu Curry then Kokoro make a delicious one. Along with the sticky rice, this Chicken Katsu is pretty tasty! A must visit in Bromley

Just awful. Nothing cooked to order. Served out of hot trays. Reminded me of a BHS cafe, but even more depressing. BHS was the life and soul compared to this hellhole.

Firstly I would like to say how kind, friendly and welcoming the staff were. Sadly the food was bad. This was the worst sushi I have ever had, the rice was one solid lump and you couldn't discern the individual grains. Shame as the fish was nice. The noodles had clearly been sitting around for a while and were really bland and flobby, exacerbated by being reheated in the microwave. We're unlikely to return.

I ordered the katsu salmon combo box. The staff wasn't able to tell us if there were nuts and were not very knowledgeable about what they were selling, but pointed to a few sheets of paper on the wall that gives us more info on the ingredients of each dish. While katsu curry contain nuts, the katsu salad did not. My husband is seriously allergic to nuts and felt a funny eating the raw salmon. The staff also failed to offer us any utensils or condiments. They also don't provide any wasabi, so they charge 50p where most places charges 5p for extra.

Visited for food while at work. The Chicken Katsu Curry is very good and I recommend it. The manager is also very friendly and very customer oriented

Tried noodles and sweet chilli chicken with rice. The noodles were quite bland and didn't look fresh. Chicken taste was good to start with but couldn't progress much as it was full of oil. Left 1/4 of food.

We were regulars at Kokoro since it opened and haven't found anything to replace it since we moved away from Bromley. FAVOURITE meal, would always look forward to it once a week! Katsu chicken curry (with rice) & extra curry sauce, omg yum...

I have visited Kokoro four times now, and each time I have hoped would be better than the last, and blamed it on a poor choice of hot meal!

I used to go and grab a bite to eat every lunchtime as their sushi and bento were pretty decent.

Really good value and you are given plenty of meat. I had chicken teriyaki, it was served nice and hot and the sauce was delicious. Some small bits of gristle on the chicken but overall an excellent meal.

Visited Tuesday lunchtime this week with my daughter; thought we would see what its like as we love noodles! First impressions very clean but not very welcoming (I asked if the beef was spicy and was just told No) and it seems odd that there is seating in the food prep area. Lots of people buying the sushi and there is a good range of cold drinks. Total cost £16 for 2 including 2 cold drinks. We had Beef bulgogi (Korean beef stew) and chicken teriyaki, both with noodles. The chicken was fine but the beef was very bland and tough. The noodles had yakisoba sauce which seemed slightly spicy and not like the usual yakisoba sauce so it spoilt the taste of the noodles. Also the food was only luke warm, if that. So overall very disappointing and we would not visit again. They should visit a Wasabi sushi and bento place like the ones in London and at Bluewater, far better! Delicious noodles and chicken yakitori.
